    Love this place usually quiet on great patio but this time there was a loud crowd of people wandering around. But our waiter Estaban was great and the sea bass is a must. Will be back

    Sat on the patio, had a great view of the bay. Had the Duroc pork chop and it was excellent. And lemon cloud cake for dessert. Very nice server. Overall very good experience.

    It was a beautiful experience!! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable anniversary dinner. I will be letting all my friends know that Tidal is delicious and romantic for any special dinner.

    Fish preparations at Tidal were superb ! Both salmon and sea bass were done perfectly and really delicious. Would have been nice to have a little green veg alongside. Prices on the high side,+ a 6% surcharge, + $3.50 for 5 slices of toasted bread, and a $45 !!! corkage fee. At least there were a couple of reasonably-priced bottles on the short wine list. Server Caitlin was terrific !!!

    We were celebrating my wife's 65th birthday and the restaurant did not acknowledge it, in spite of being informed prior. She was in tears when a birthday was celebrated at a neaby table.

    Lattes were half cups with foam that had already disappeared. The French toast arrived cold and hard. Instead of preparing the meal again, they tried to warm it! It arrived still barely warm. I asked to remake the dish and they reluctantly agreed. Very disappointing.

    Wow! What a find. The food was prepared perfectly. The noise level was a little loud but that's OK because everyone was having a great time. It was a pretty cool restaurant on Mission Bay so the view was beautiful. The restaurant was in the Paradise Point Resort. Try it you'll like it.

    Meals from the kid’s menu were bad, hard and burnt meat. The Seafood plates from the regular menu tasted great and had a good presentation. Unfortunately the waiter, was terrible. He completely ignored our table the whole time. After we spoke to the manager our waiter all of a sudden appeared but claimed there was no more dessert(ice cream and a cookie) to complete the kids’ meals. Later he returned with ice cream and half a cookie for each. Although the waiter was terrible, the manager was attentive to the situation and addressed our concerns.

    The food overall was just alright, but the service was not great. They were limited on the gluten free options and they charged for split plates. Portions were incredibly small so the cost for a split plate was almost insulting. One of the sides was carrots which included exactly 2 carrots. The crab fondue was actually delicious, but that was the only dish that was outstanding - the rest were average. The price was not average. Barefoot, next door, was a much better value with good food and nicer staff.

    Our reservation was for 7:15, and we didn’t get our food until almost 8:45. Not sure what the issue was, as our server (as nice as she was!) didn’t share anything. At the end, she mentioned “thank you for your patience with the issue” but never anything before or any possible compensation when we waited 45+ minutes to receive our food. Based on the higher end food and pricing, something more could certainly have been done to help us (even with understanding). As we were leaving, we overheard another table who waited a while before being acknowledged get an apology and complimentary drinks offered up front once a server went to them. Definitely made us feel even more like we missed out on a better overall experience. Communication goes a long way!

    Birthday celebration was amazing here! Great food (Sprouts, Hamachi, and Fondue are excellent!) Spectacular drinks made by Aaron, and A+ service by Teddy and the entire staff! This hidden gem is amazing!

    We sat out on the patio as the sun was going down. My wife had a spicy margarita which she said was really good. I had the cap steak and she had the seabass both were good. The service we on point and food came out in a timely manner. Overall it was a good experience

    Lovely location, overpriced mediocre food and dreadful hostess. Arrived at 7.20pm for a 7.30pm booking and were told we were early and would have to wait (despite empty tables visible everywhere). While we waited she seated another table who arrived after us and a family who’d booked for 7pm who she told had their booking cancelled as they were too late. At 7.30pm she collected us from the doorway and led us to an empty indoor section of the restaurant, well away from the beautiful outdoor views we’d looked forward to enjoying when we booked an outside table days ago. The hostess told us we couldn’t sit outside as other people had booked it before us. I was sure I’d seen empty tables while we were waiting so went to take a look, only to find 7 tables of two and one table of four available!! I informed the rather disinterested hostess we would be moving ourselves to the vacant outdoor table. Another four table became available 10 mins after we arrived and wasn’t occupied for the rest of the evening. If you’re looking for a special night out, I’d recommend you choose any of the many other SD restaurants that actually value your custom as well as serving better food.

    Today My husband & I went to this restaurant to celebrate our 27th Anniversary as we were looking to have a great time. The ambience was ok, but the food was horrible and the service was bad. I couldn't even eat my halibut and the server refused to take it off the bill until we pressed further. I would stay as far away from this restaurant as possible. It's not worth the price nor the hype.

    My steak was very overcooked. My daughter had the macaroni and cheese, she said it lacked cheese and the roux was very gritty. Definitely not worth what they are charging.

    Clam chowder came out Luke warm. Flavor was good but needs some heat. Had the smoky bourbon drink. Can’t recall the name. It was pretty good. Candied bacon garnishment was great. Had the crudo. Nice and thin but could have used some more flavor. Pretty bland overall.
