Tino's Italian Bistro
Great local company that offers good food and fair pricing. Both our veal and chicken parm was good. My husbands pizza was good very lacked lots of cheese. If you like cheesy pizza order extra cheese.
We went for Sunday brunch. Wife’s omelette was so-so. My crab English muffins were good. Home fries were way too spicy. Waitress was polite but not warm. She offered my wife gluten free bread but neglected to say she’d charge us for it. There was a big group across from us, so the noise level was high. And some inconsiderate man across the way put a TV station news broadcast on his phone and was watching it. Of course, I don’t blame Tino’s for that. Altogether, a less than pleasant brunch experience. Food prices were good, though.
Awesome food and great service.
Must order the Shrimp Imperial. You will not be disappointed
Good southern Italian food in bountiful portions. Service was friendly and very accommodating - our waiter offered to have the kitchen split shared dishes.
The food was amazing! The wait was a little long but they sat us at the bar until the table was ready
Another great meal at Tino's Italian Bistro. It has become our go to place in Columbia. Reservations are suggested as there is usually a line waiting. The Owner is on site and active to keep things going. He is also interesting to talk to.
Wonderful neighborhood place for outstanding Italian food for any occasion or no occasion. Don't miss the bread and spiced oil they put on all tables. Possibly the best to be had anywhere. Outstanding pastas, chicken, cereal and seafood dishes.
Service was fantastic--we were seated immediately, and the waitress kept coming by regularly for orders and to check up on us, though it was a bit louder than we expected. The food was delicious with well-sized portions. I had hoped their wine selection would have been more extensive, but the home-made limoncello made up for it!
The food and s fabulous. Huge portions. Great service. However, we always get seated in an area that smells delicious of extremely strong cleaning chemical, which is off putting.
Our first time there for dinner. Friendly staff, generous portions, delicious food! We will return!
I arrived on a Saturday with a 7pm reservation. The place was packed and the atmosphere lively. The hostess seemed very frazzled and was clearly overwhelmed, but our party was seated right away. We were waiting for one member of our party to arrive. I wanted to order some appetizers and drinks in the mean time, but the server delivered water and then did not return until the last person showed up. Eventually, we were able to order drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The food was excellent and the waiting time was very reasonable. The server disappeared for long stretches of time, though. I would've had more to drink if she had returned to the table more often. Overall, I would give this place another chance. The food was worth it even if the atmosphere leaves a little to be desired.
Excellent food with decent price. Service is also good.
Their Italian Caesar salad I'd a treat! And I really appreciate the large number of gluten free options they offer. Entrees are generous and usually enough for lunch or light super the next day. Friendly attentive service even when they are busy!!
We went here because of their high rating and felt like some great italian. It was ok but not the best I’ve ever had. The server was nice and accommodating. The oysters were warm and the waitress wasn’t sure how many you get. She said 12 or 10 and we got 8. Just a bit silly but it would’ve been nice to know.
Excellent service and the food was amazing. I would be back soon and recommend this place to others. They really know how to do it right
We had a fantastic dinner at Tino's ...large portions, reasonable prices
We were seated in a booth near the bar and waited on by the bartenders. They were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the foods on the menu from personal experience
Tinos is a nice “neighborhood Italian” restaurant. The food is pretty reliable and portions are generous. My wife and I will easily get a lunch or dinner out of the leftovers we bring home.
This was our second visit to Tino's and we will be back. Had the Coffee Coated Lamb special and it was wonderful. The Owner and his son (I assume) visited the table several times and we enjoyed the short conversations. Definitely a hands on owner. Make a reservation or you will have a wait.
About the best Italian restaurant in Howard County within Ellicott City and Columbia. We visit often. The pasta dishes are the best around. The Pizza is great and reasonable in price. Management walks around restaurant greets everyone he meets. Good wine selection. A neighborhood gem. Really need reservations on the weekend! It is just that good!
Great waiter. Awesome food with quick service
Friendly service, huge portions (2 can split an entree for sure).
They have lots of gluten free options and do pay attention to not cross-contaminating. They offer gf bread for a dollar- it's really just a personal pan pizza crust, but good for dipping in olive oil. Usually it's medium good, but now it seems like they switched to a new crust and it's really not bread-like. More like a crispy cracker-- which might be great under pizza toppings, but leaves a lot to be desired as bread! Also had the chocolate cream brulee, which was not as good as the vanilla. Entrees were terrific as always-- Chicken saltimbocca and tortellini both tasty and ample portions-- enough to take home and enjoy again!
Exceptional restaurant. Very surprising to find a place of this size and quality in a strip mall. Enormous servings and this was during the lunch hour. Simply good food, good service in a friendly atmosphere that allowed conversation without having to yell. This peace and quiet were on a Sunday at mid-day. There is a nice bar and of course, television tuned to sports channels which equates to noise eventually. Though I did not partake of their enormous wine selection; that could be an adventure in and of itself, many times over. It's safe to say that it is a good thing for me that this warm and welcoming house of very good Italian food is some distance from where I live. Though I am not Italian, I should have been. No frilly foo foo here; just what would simply be described as "just like Mama used to make."
We just found out about this place through a family member and have been back twice in two weeks. The food is absolutely delicious. Fresh and authentic. I also have a dairy allergy and they are wonderful about advising me about which sauces to avoid. That means a lot to me.
Great food. Wonderful service. Good selection of wine. Always a favorite.
Food as always was excellent. Chicken piccata and fettucine oceano. Very large portions but always good for left overs. Although food was excellent, our server was slow in bringing entrée after appetitizer and clearing dishes away. Don't let that distract you. Everyone very nice.
This place has never disappointed! I simply have not gotten a bad meal here. Staff are friendly beyond belief and wine is delicious! It's a win win!
Fun place with good food!!! Worth the trip again and again
Best Italian Restaurant in Howard County! Portions are large for the price. Authentic Italian food is outstanding. I've only had one entree that I did not like and that was the Lasagna. It tasted like it was baked right out of the freezer. The sauce was not flavorful like the other dishes I've had. I would advise staying away from the baked Italian dishes. Fresh pasta with any of their sauces is just fantastic.
I love their Shrimp Chesapeake in a rose' sauce. Instead of angel hair pasta, I get it with penna pasta. I always take half home because you just can't eat it all. Food comes out piping hot! I love Tino's. We go at least three times a month. The pizza is to die for! You definitely need reservation on the weekend. The place stays packed. It is a testament to the great service and wonderful food!
Our family had a fine meal at Tino's. The pizza was okay, while some of the other dishes were very good. Our server did a good job, but our interactions with management (about the sufficiency of a 22-year old's ID) were somewhat frustrating.
Christmas dinner w from out of town
Always a good dining experience at Tinos. Brandi and Tracy were excellent servers, and the food very delicious as always. The portions are huge to satisfy the biggest appetites.
Very good experience. Everyone in our party of 9 enjoyed the food.
We brought a friend from Northern Virginia to Tino's for dinner. She won't eat Italian cuisine anywhere close to home anymore and wants us to come here every time we visit!
Tino's is consistently excellent and is my family's favorite restaurant!
Tino's is always a hit for our family and friends. They have the absolute best pizza in my opinion (thin and a little crispy). Their salads and apps are incredible as well. Spinach salad with blackened salmon is a favorite. We eat at Tino's at least once a month and have rarely been disappointed. If we were, it was due to poor service - likely a new server or the restaurant being understaffed. Doesn't keep us from coming back. Try it!
Tino's always delivers and is easy on your wallet. One of our favorite local restaurants.
You can confidently host friends there
Tino's is an authentic Italian restaurant serving traditional dishes and some very good special offerings. The wine selection is very good and reasonable priced and the service is always attentive and friendly. It is the best Italian restaurant in the Columbia-Ellicott City area!
As always. Everything perfect
Tino's is a great neighborhood spot. The food is good and reasonably priced. The wine list interesting. It's a perfect place for dining on weekends or during the week, but on weekends get reservations.
