TOCA - Ritz Carlton Toronto Ratings and Reviews
Fantastic meal and service! The menu and chef’s pairings are outstanding!
Amazing good and awesome service! Would highly recommend
We had the 4 courses tasting menu. It was good but felt not worth the money given that the tasting menu wasn't chef inspired or not on the menu. Basically, looking at the table next to us, they ordered al la cart and they had the same thing we had. Therefore, I would recommend ordering from the menu and save your money by not ordering the tasting menu.
Lovely evening. Thanks for the complementary birthday dessert.
TOCA was a beautiful romantic setting. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. It was our first time here but certainly not our last.
Meal was ok. Location was very good. Ambiance was excellent. Service was very good. MARRIOTT needs to improve their eating experiences as all other aspects are good.
An amazing Sunday Brunch...probably one of the best in the city. The food selection was varied and all dishes were delicious. Unlimited momosas kept the table happy! Nice to dress up and enjoy a Brunch in a beautiful hotel setting. Highly recommend.
Overall it was somewhat disappointing. Everything was very average and i expectd much much more. I thought Ritz carlton would be a very special experience and it was below average.
Our daycare offered child minding on a Saturday and so we made plans with another couple to drop our kids off and come to Toca for brunch / lunch. We had heard so many things about the Sunday brunch but have yet to experience that. Firstly though, I had called the day before as it seemed the Saturday brunch menu was limited. My call was answered by the front desk and she informed me that the restaurant hostess was unavailable and that she could answer my inquiries. I asked if the regular lunch menu was also available as supplement to the brunch menu to have more choice and she assured me that it was available. This is not the case though. We found this out after asking it waiter for the lunch menu and he said it is never available the weekend. Having said that, we at happy it’s what we ordered.
My husband and I were first I arrive on time but waited almost 5 minutes for the hostess and to be seated. She was courteous and polite. The restaurant wasn’t too busy but the ambiance and mood was perfect. Great atmosphere and very comfortable / plush.
Our waiter was very sweet but seemed tied and the communication was a bit off. He seemed to be shy and a little unaware and quiet natured. No real conversation but again was courteous. When our friends arrived we ordered 2 of the lobster caprese and 2 meat charcuterie - both were great. Drinks was a combo of beers for the gentlemen and mimosas for us ladies. Two of us had the Toca burger and the other two had the prosciutto club sandwich. I asked the server who bought out the food (not our waiter) if I could have a spicy dip to accompany my sweet potato fries and h bought me back two tiny bottles of tobacco and told me to mix them with the jar of mayo. Ok sure I’ll make my own sauce thanks. Not something I was expecting to do at the Ritz!!
The cappuccino, affogato and chocolate cake were delicious. In conclusion, food drinks and atmosphere were on point. But seems communication amongst staff and some service needs work
Food was so great. I'll go back there anytime! Service was great
Excellent Service, excellent Food, excellent environment
I had Friday special pasta tasting menu: cheese ravioli, lobster sauce spaghetti, and beet gnocchi. The desert is cinnamon tiramisu, which is great.
Extremely noisy from bar downstairs. Hope they close up that side of the wall to minimize the noise. Didn 't expect it to be like this. Furnishing is akin to a cafe for casual dining. Very old and worn out.
Far below the Tosca of Ritz Carlton Hotel in Hong Kong.
It was my first time dining there and it won’t be my last. Ali waited on us... he was so amicable, kind and professional... he knew the offerings thoroughly and answered all our queries with confidence and made very helpful suggestions. Thank you Ali for your good energy, generosity and making it such an enjoyable and memorable experience for us. Hope to see you all for the New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Loved our waiter who recommended the perfect wine and delivered a birthday surprise for my friend at the end of our meal. He even arranged to have a fresh bottle of bubbly sent to the spa. A memorable lunch
Beautiful setting, amazing food and incredible service. We loved our experience and we will be back.
Thank you for the special attention on our wedding anniversary.
Worst eggs Benedict ever seen. Pea meal bacon was a greyish yellow in colour. Whoever let that leave the kitchen should be fired.
The Service was outstanding! The food was declious. Special thanks to both the chef and waiter we had. My daughter has a peanut allergy and they both went accommodated us with food prepared especially for her. They took the time to explain all the dishes available. The unlimited champagne fantastic.
we went to celebrate our wedding anniversary, it was a very nice experience. Outstanding service and amazing food.
Fantastic experience. The personal touches made the birthday celebrations special. Thank you for the amazing service and food.
Had a great dining experience in celebration of a family birthday. Although it took awhile to bring our drinks and too long to place our order (which wasn't taken when our drinks arrived), we enjoyed our meals and subsequent service thoroughly. We were pleasantly surprised by the birthday treat of macarons, chocolate cake and berries. The black cod portions (for the two of us who are not big eaters) were very small even for us, so ordering sides is a must if you want to flesh out your meal. Hubby's steak was ample and cooked perfectly. They were very thorough in confirming allergy issues. The room felt extremely noisy due to being seated in a curved booth beside a loud talker. I would definitely ask to be seated in a quieter area next time so I don't feel like I'm sharing my meal with the people beside me. This is our second time dining at Toca and we will definitely return.
Sommelier was particularly good helping to find a wine that impressed a range of meals.
Went for truffle week and we loved it!!
Best food and service I’ve had in ages. Outstanding quality all around. Pricy, but you get what you pay for.
Came here for a birthday dinner on a Tuesday evening in early November, food was great, the service was impeccable and the staff were kind and respectful! The portions may seem small but was very filling.
Food portions very small. Service very poor
It was fantastic to revisit TOCA and find it even better than before. Crisp service and astonishingly tasty and innovative menu.
Cheese cave never fails to add depth to wine and dessert.
A local treasure that matches Ritz quality.
This restaurant has a lot of very positive reviews, but we had some issues with it. The service was exceptionally slow, and our food was not cooked properly and had to be sent back. Also, my guest had a dirty show plate, and when we pointed this out, the staff did not remove it right away as they said it was just a "show plate".
Lovely time. Great decor and extremely friendly staff. food good yet expensive,
Great service, food, and experience overall
We had a dinner there for celebrating my wife’s birthday. What a wonderful time we spent! And all I can say is everything, the food, the atmosphere and the surprising cookie at the end are all the best. Our 7 year old son loves the fries very much. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Pre TSO concert Roy Thomson Hall
Very enjoyable and so good we went back the following night. Excellent Service and sommelier.
Excellent as usual, this is our 3rd time for the pre-theatre menu over the past 2 years, and the food /service is fantastic, plus for $15 extra a superb valet. Great value for a luxurious setting.
They have not let us down yet so far. The service, food and the ambiance were great!
very nice restaurant, very good service. around 100$ per person
The service and meal was excellent. Would definitely go back again.
overall, excellent! Attentive and most enjoyable.
