When arriving at Kaiseki 511 you are warmly welcomed by the staff. I felt like a King arriving to his castle! I was here for one thing and one thing only. The legendary A5 Kobe steak. And it was cooked to perfection. My waitress for the evening was very knowledgeable and taught me where the different cuts of beef came from in the arriving dish. I had the set menu with the sirloin steak. After the set menu I also wanted to taste the tenderloin.. perfect! I also had selected glasses of wine to each dish. All in all this is not a cheep dinner, but worth every Yen. My total bill included 8% tax and 10% service charge came to 42464 Yen. More

We celebrated our first night here in Tokyo on our honeymoon, and the restaurant owner chatted with us briefly. Exceptional set menu included grouper (fish), steak, foie gras, pumpkin soup, fresh kiwi, etc.. Chef adjusted the dishes according to my gluten-free diet. This restaurant’s romantic vibe is out of this world. Lighting is relaxed and tailored to the mid-century modern tables and chairs. American indie rock music playlist played on vintage stereo equipment. Flower shop next door is the perfect compliment. More
