   First time at Tommy Bahama’s and we loved it! Food was delicious, service was attentive. Noise level is high, but we sat in the back room which was a bit quieter. Great spot, would definitely come back.

   Restaurant was amazing! We had reservations, but realized it was for the next day… That would have been the end of our story, and we prob would have been eating Applebees that night. LaME! BUT… the host was gracious enough to still get us a table on an already busy night! Disaster averted! Our server was Mike. He was so friendly and welcoming! I would’ve definitely shared a margarita with this chap and talk about the good ole days. He had such great recommendations and made me feel like a million bucks when I ordered my Miso Salmon. It was the best/freshest salmon ever. Like did they dip it in the fresh waters of Faroe Island just before it kissed the fiery hot surface of a well seasoned pan?!?!? I think so. Best of all was our dessert. Like a work of art, Mike presented us with 4 options. Each looked so delicious my second stomach yelled for me to order all of them… I refrained, reluctantly. We chose the crème brûlée…you would think a caramelized topping was fancy enough. Until it was put into a hollowed out freakin’ PINEAPPLE!!! Tommy you did it again! How?!? Why?!? All I know is this, Tommy Bahama has hired the best staff at their location in Sandestin, FL. We had a lovely night and we will be back again! Thank you!

    We came to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. The food was delicious and the place itself was beautiful. The staff we very friendly and the store was so cute. My hubby and I would definitely recommend.

    Server was great! Shrimp and grits weren’t good, skip that one. Live music inside, make it kinda loud, but we were seated far enough away. Overall, food was just ok. Beautiful restaurant though.

    Went for my birthday, and our dinner did not disappoint. The food is very good. I got the crabcakes and my husband got the shrimp and scallops. Both excellent. Our server was new so she seemed a little rushed, but she was very nice. Atmosphere is great. We will definitely be back.

    Went a second time. Unfortunately another odd experience. Waited ridiculously long for a server, entrees came out one at a time, brought bread to the table after the appetizer was already finished, servers and staff rushing around looking confused. It was spring break. It was busy. Maybe they didn’t have enough staff? Maybe it’s better when it isn’t spring break? Maybe it’s better to just go for a cocktail and listen to music?? I don’t know. Sorry Tommy Bahama, moving you to the bottom of my list for places to dine or recommend in Sandestin.

    This used to be one of my favorite restaurants (see previous review) ….tonight was horrible! Asked for quiet table in advance …when I reconfirmed upon arrival- was told there was no such thing- place booked solid. Was seated right outside bar with loud (although pleasant) guitar music playing without a break the entire 2 hours we were there. We couldn’t hear a word from the couple sitting across the table from us! And we needed to discuss some important personal matters which is why I asked for a quiet table! Finally got to order drinks…must have been a good half hour til they came..very watery and warm since they must have sat waiting to be delivered for more than half that time. Ordered immediately and asked for bread….another half hour goes by…then 3 out of 4 plates delivered…and then finally the bread arrives ….more time goes by…..the 3 who were served are half finished when 4th plate arrives. Food cold. Rice gummy. Horrible in every way….can no longer recommend….bad service, bad food, entirely too loud…sad! And when only bad service was mentioned to manager upon departing …he was dismissive…didn’t care….just said he can’t get help. Well now he can’t get a formerly loyal local customer!

    First time there. Great music and great food! Seated in the back facing the kitchen. Wished we were at a more desirable table location. Service was lacking- must have been a really off night. Waitress was clearly not in the best of moods. We ordered an appetizer but it was brought out with my meal. The three other people dining with me didn’t receive their food until 8-10 minutes later and we had to ask where their food was. They apologized. It’s like the left foot didn’t know what the right foot was doing. I’ll try again and hopefully will have a better experience. If I encounter the same, I’ll likely not return.

    The food and ambiance was amazing. I came from out of state and we celebrated my dad's 65th birthday and we all absolutely loved it. I really was grateful that my server was so tactful when my credit card was initially declined. He handed me a receipt with the issue handwritten, signaling me quietly to pay another way. Very gracious of him and appreciated not being embarrassed. The credit card issue was due to it being charged out of state which is so inconvenient but nevertheless the issue was resolved and we had a wonderful time.

    Overall the evening was great. The food was very good. The service was as well. It was a little louder than we enjoy it due to live music but younger crowd may enjoy that. A little to pricy for us but this was an anniversary so willing to spend a little more. I do not give out 5 stars unless totally blown away by the experience. Our waitress was excellent and took good care of us. So overall a very good 4.5.

    Our food was wonderful, despite the fact that each of us at a table of 4 did not get what we expected. I'd say the explanations on the menu didn't adequately describe the food served. Service was below average including having butter spilled on my lap. She did bring me a cocktail napkin...how "nice"... should have done more. Top that with slow service, slow check, and not respecting our time frame when we explained our time constraint made for an experience that will not have us returning anytime soon.

    The Tommy Bahama's at Grand Boulevard in SanDestin is friendly, convenient, and great food and drinks, they usually have someone local playing guitar and singing- not too loud, as background music - I prefer the Dip Duo as an appetizer !

    Valentine's Night - sat us by the bar - which was really loud but it was a holiday so I get that. Waitress wrote down the wrong entree and since it was busy we kept it rather than wait another 30 minutes for a re-do. they did comp us the brussel sprouts.

    My wife and I were staying in Panama City Beach for a short vacation and decided to book reservations at the Sandestin Tommy Bahama's for Valentines Day. Our dining experience there has been uniformly excellent and it was worth the drive from Panama City Beach to Sandestin to insure a good meal on a special day. We were not disappointed. We ordered a bottle of Ramey Chardonnay, my personal favorite, and a Caesar Salad. The wine arrived with a bread basket. The salads arrived a few minutes later and we dug in. Salads were delicious but I would have liked the greens chopped up a bit before serving. I had to do a lot of chopping to get them bite size. For the main course I had the Valentines Day Special which was Grouper on a bed of risotto. Best meal of the vacation. My wife had Macadamia Nut Crusted Snapper. It is my favorite meal at Tommy Bahamas and she loved it. We were too full for desert (the portions of fish were great, not like some places). Service was attentive, helpful, and friendly without being overbearing. Just another great meal at Tommy Bahamas.

    Our server Riley was terrific. He gave us some great suggestions, which we ordered. The food was delicious and the plate was colorful and appealing. The prices were moderate, considering the local area prices. This wasn’t our first experience at Tommy Bahama but it was our first at this location. We will definitely be back!
