We had a great dinner at Tosca. It was a great place to carb load before our Half Marathon the next day. As busy as it was, it never seemed loud and the staff were very attentive. Definitely a must try if you’re in Ottawa.

Le niveau de bruit était infernale. Il y avait un groupe et les enfants hurlaient. Les enfants jouaient dans les rangées à des jeux en se tapant dans les mains, c'étaient impossible de discuter en mangeant. Les enfants se promenaient en faisant le tour du restaurant.

While the food was very tasty and hot, there wasn’t a lot of it. The portions are quite small especially the pasta dishes and the veal dish. The excellent table service and nice atmosphere made up for this shortcoming. I would not go back on a Saturday night because there are too many children running around. Not an intimate quiet place on weekends!

The service was the worst I have had in a long time, it was the first I remember not leaving a tip. The server was not pleasant, we didn't get what we asked for even though we made multiple asks and after asking for the bill the server never came back for us to pay we had to go get someone on our way out to take our payment. We could have walked out without paying for all the care and attention we got. We will not go again.
