Tramonto at River Rock Casino Resort
Modern, upscale, Fresh, Local Cuisine.
We went on Valentines Day. Unfortunately I took an hour and a hlaf to get our food. Apparently one of their staff which is our server just walk out that day. Staff dont have the clue, however they should wonder why there's no food yet on the guest table and they should see that orders are not pickup at the back.
We had a Run Away Waiter... he just went missing in the middle of our 3 1/2 hours dinner. Nobody knew where or what happened to him but the waiter who took over did his job really well even in a stressful situation. Still will recommend this place!
Great service, great food and reasonable prices.
It was my birthday when we had dinner at Tramonto. It was our first time to be there. Foods were delicious, place was so beautiful and quiet too. Ambiance was great. We will definitely go back there. Thanks to Shane, Rolwin and Tonilyn... they made our Tramonto experience awesome.
This used to be a great Italian Restaurant, however chefs have changed and the menu is completely new. Unfortunately we didn’t check the menu on line since our last visit.
We had a very good waiter, and I think he was feeling our pain. The meals both had too much Asian flavour even on my wife’s tenderloin steak. My ribs were very dry. They took my salad off the bill. Overall not a good experience.. won’t be returning.
Very few vegetarian options. Most restaurants nowadays have significantly more choices for meatless dinners. Our waiter was helpful with ensuring our prawn pasta was without bacon.
I read the previous reviews and was not sure what we would get. But! Was greatly impressed. Food was great and so was service. Portions were not large but efficient. We went for early sunset special. Three course menu. Was great price and really enjoyable. Waiter was great. I thought everything was great. I have to agree decor could be updated. View is good but was dark. Food came at good intervals and we both had a great time. Just check out the photos we took. Yummy.
Main part of each entree was very good, I had Salmon and my boyfriend had short ribs. Accompaniments were lacking though. Short ribs over barley seemed an odd choice. And I would have preferred a green vegetable over fennel. Sauce served with salmon was very good. Ambience could be improved. Light is to bright, lowered lights and candles on the tables would do wonders! Server was great! It was New Year’s Eve but he was still friendly and helpful.
Excellent dinner. Prime Rib. Tastefully presented. Very delicious.
The food is just average and not worth the price they charge
Not a great selection of food and not the best quality
Dinner with friends before a show at the river rock
Disappointed in the quality of the food, Caesar salad very bland, pasta was dry, and the bouillabaisse was average.
The service was great, but we won’t be returning.
I would as long as they don't order steak as my beef sirloin came over cooked
Great pre concert dining experience with International friends!
Dated menu without a good selection of good groups.
Overpriced without any of the extras you would expect at a restaurant like this.
We were the only 2 patrons during early evening dinning
While the food in terms of quality, taste, presentation were 4+ stars, we thought the ambiance and service can definitely be improved to better reflect the price point being charged. The servers were very friendly but the service seemed quite disjointed and very casual.
Appys and mains were really good and wine list was lengthy. Service was good but they were shutting down by 930/10pm so we felt pressured to leave. I would go back though!
Arrived at 5:45 Friday and was seated immediately. Service was very good. We love our Wine and ended up getting 2 bottles . Disappointed that we couldn’t get any bread? However a couple appetizers and a salad followed by the Sablefish was very good. Petite portions but lots of flavour.
The first time we came here before a concert we thought the food and value was very good.
This visit was again before a concert and the food was very disappointing and the green house salad was the worst salad I have ever had, and we out out a lot.
Menu was different from the website. Variety was less. Mostly red meat on new menu. Ordered green salad with beets and it came without beets. We were told they were out of beets.
The positive was that our waiter was great and understood our disappointment. Unfortunately, we won’t rebook at this restaurant.
The menu has changed a lot since our last visit.Hoped to see more Italian options.
Several menu items were not available??
The sablefish was very good. The rigatoni sauce was quite nice as well.
Wine is very overpriced, portions on the small side. The service was very good, the best thing about
the place. It wasn't a terrible experience but no where near as good as it was a few years ago.
The wagyu steak was so good it's ruined me for other steaks.
Our server was top notch, though he seemed to have a lot of tables to serve.
Some of the other food items ordered to very good, but not earth shattering like the wagyu.
The creme brule was the only thing that was bad.
Wine menu was terrific.
Would definitely recommend this place as great place for a business dinner (which is why we were there).
The food was OK but not memorable, the lone waiter did the best he could given they were short-staffed, but the real deficiency is this place has no ambiance or decor of any kind - there are no tablecloths, plants, artwork, decorations or anything that would make it feel like a pleasant place to eat.
We have had a good experience many times in the past but this time things were not up to par. First of all the room was cold. I don't like eating in a cold atmosphere. Mt stay strips were tender but salty. My wife duck was poorly presented with the (spelling) duck ? tasting like butter as it was under cooked
Menu and quality of food is not what it has been in the past
Very poor service. Staff were informed that we had tickets to the show in their theatre. We were forgotten at the end of our the meal. No offer of coffee, had to tap someone to come over. And then we had to track someone down to produce our bill.
Must pay attention to customers to attending a show.
Also very pricey wine list, first time we skipped ordering wine with our meal. Standard bottle of wine more than 3x the BC wine store price for a very basic wine.
Chris, our server was nothing short of amazing! He was very attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu and all his recommendations were very good.
It was our first time dining here and it won't be the last.
Highly recommended for sure!
Delicious food, nice Service and a very relaxing atmosphere. I had one of my best steaks @Tramonto and would definitely come back if I‘ll be around Vancouver
We were there celebrating my girlfriend's birthday.
the food was amazing. Also, the service.
when we did not receive a voucher for a free appetizer
they went above and beyond to make sure we got it
Our server was a funny fellow - very good service from all.
I would however, be a little more flexibly with Vegetarian dishes or at least be able to remove bacon, slightly modify
We had a lovely relaxing dinner here at 7:30pm Friday, Sept. 13th! Chris our waiter was outstanding and friendly and the view of the marina at night was beautiful! We will come back again and highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic or celebratory evening!
The quality of the ingredients is good, but the flavor added to them is a bit too simple.
Excellent food and service. Also a very nice view!
The service was good the food was terrible. Ribs tasted like they cooked them three days ago and then heated them up for the third night in a row. Menu is not appealing and wine is over priced. Not what a major hotel wants for there top restaurant. The place needs a major overhaul.
too small portion for the main course, lack of meal selection
The service was excellent. The food was high quality. It's not for the person on a budget, it's meant for the person looking to spoil themselves with a bit of extravagance. Will be going back soon!
Where to begin. The food was very poor and did not taste fresh and tasted like it came from a jar. We started with an antipasto plate that had hardly any items on it. The salami was sliced so thin you could see through it. The Itaian bacon was one slice cut into 8 tiny pieces. It tasted stale. The calamari was greasy, the Kennebeck fries overdone being hard and chewy. The mains were very disappointing. The ribs tasted warmed over and the BBQ sauce tasted out of a bottle and uninspiring. The sausage pasta had at best three pieces of sausage and the sauce tasted like something out of a school lunch program. The Wagyu beef was tender, but came sliced open instead of a steak and the juices ran out. You have to order vegetables a la cart which is ok in a fancy restaurant but in this place it was a gouge. The roasted cauliflower was cold and had no flavour. The salad looked like it came from a bag, and the beet dish had very few roasted beets. Bread was a separate charge - $1.00 per slice. We ordered the sourdough and it was not freshly baked in house but from the grocery store. Dessert was a disaster. The chocolate ganache was advertised to come with a poached pear. We expected more than two thin slices of pear. The butter tart’s crust was inedible and no wonder they gave me a streak knife to cut it (to no avail). There is no draft beer but just stuff in a can. For the six of us the grand total was just over $300.00 before tip. I didn’t complain as we had guests in from out of town and wanted to be polite in front of them. Turns out later they said that was one of the poorest meals they had had and felt bad I was stuck with the bill. They were staying at the resort hotel so that is why we went there. Never again. I hope management reads this and contacts me for some constructive feedback. You have my email.
Tramonto bills itself as a nice Italian style restaurant. It’s not. Save your time and money and go anywhere else.
We had dinner here recently and it is nothing like it used to be. We were excited to bring out of town guests but they have totally changed their menu. It used to be a great Italian west coast type restaurant with great servers and yummy food. Our group struggled to find something we wanted to eat and the portions were small so the guys of our group were still hungry when we left. It is very much geared towards the traditional Chinese eater now with a meal that even says "tongue" and "extra parts" of the duck on it. gross.
The server seemed inexperienced, didn't come around often enough and was not smooth like a higher end restaurant should have. Overall we won't be back and was disappointing. The view was great. that's all they have going for it now.
