Steve was our waiter. Very attentitive. Excellent service. It was a very quiet night with beautiful view. The appetizer seafood tower was a cooked hot plate. Not mentioned in the menu but flavorful and we were pleasantly surprised. The sablefish was very soft and tasty. The tenderloin was very soft. Melted in your mouth. Will definitely come back.
We had a nice meal but the tomahawk steak we shared was chewy and tough so we didn't eat very much of it. Disappointed since we had it a few years ago and it was excellent quality.
The service was great and the wine also and the view table. I love the Caesar salad very unique presentation and taste.
A study in contrast.
On arrival we were surprised to find only one other table occupied, and they were finishing.
The service was as close to perfect as one could wish for.
We both enjoyed the sable fish with small requests to the kitchen for the sides.
Sharing parking facilities with the Richmond night market made for a challenge.
Overall a great evening.
We have been to Tramonto several times, and we were lucky to have the best server there! The food this time was beyond spectacular. To be fair, the mushroom voluté was not as amazing as many, many years ago but everything else, was at a level that the kitchen has never produced. The steak, halibut and scallops were phenomenal. Well done, a fantastic night! Best restaurant in Richmond.
An excellent meal served by a very professional team !
10 friends of some 60-70 years gathered at your restaurant for a fun time with fine foods and excellent attentive, service. We had a grand time and plan to return.
The food was amazing. Started with the Seafood Platter for two, which was perfect! Followed by the
Tomahawk Chop for two. Again, perfect. Both items were cooked to perfection, seasoned to perfection and were plated beautifully. We wanted to have desert but had no room. Portions were not your typical tiny size.
The wine list: LOL you might want to show up an hour early or study the web page - the wine list is about half the size of the bible. lol I ordered an old favourite which I have not found at a lot of establishments, but is delicious! Syrah Nichol "Old Vine", Naramata Bench, which was actually reasonably priced! Speaking of price, the food is a little on the high side, but as the saying goes; you get what you pay for and I certainly was satisfied.
Finally the service: Our waiter (Tracy) and I hate to use the word again but.... was perfect. Knowledgeable, personable, was there when you wanted him and was gone the rest of the time. The best service I've had in years.
I took a chance and I'm glad I did. I can't WAIT to go back!!
We went to Tromonto’s to celebrate our 48th anniversary. We were seated immediately at a window table with River view. Our server was excellent as was the food!
Wonderful atmosphere, excellent service, delicious meals. Highly recommended.
Dinned here when it first opened and it was first class then and was very happy to find out it still is. The best part was our waiter was still there from the opening. Top notch service, great banter, and wine suggestion.
Our server knew the menu well and his recommendations were excellent. Our food tasted great and served at a good pace. We enjoyed watching the sunset along with the arrival of planes. The harbor view was awesome. Will definitely come back here next time we visit! I think that it was a better choice for us to stay and dine here than the heart of City of Vancouver. We loved it!!
I went there several times, everything was good except service, surprisingly this time everything are excellent!! Thanks again for giving us a wonderful dinner and wine recommendation.
Web menu defered from restaurant menu.
Waiter not familiar to the menu
New menu lack of creativity.
Disappointing. Service was excellent but everything else second rate. Good lobster bisque but thin on taste. My wife’s duck dinner was served cold and my rack of lamb was hot but fatty & sinewy, a touch tough. Wine ok & dessert tiramisu excellent.
For the price won’t go back. Not up to par.
I forget our server's name but he gave us just the right amount of service. We had the left hand corner table, which is the best view. My wife's dinner was cold and undercooked. Our server whisked it away with an apology. He returned with a whole new meal that my wife raved about. Birthday dinner salvaged. The meal was taken off the bill, totally unexpected. Good job, Tramonto!
Super friendly staff, great choice for the wine menu, food was excellent.
I have dined at Tramonto twice now and loved the food and experience both times! The menu changed a bit between my visits, particularly the starters. I loved the caprese salad I had the first time, but it wasn't on the menu for my second visit. Aside from that, the food itself was delicious and cooked perfectly both times. Great wine selection, great steak, tasty desserts - highly recommended!
The food was ok, but just ok. We expected it to be a lot better considering the prices. The waiter also played a part in our lack of enjoyment. We were eating before going to a show and asked to order 3x before he took our order. And we reminded him again we needed to go to the show when trying to pay our bill. He kept saying “I know”, but still did not respond to our requests. There was nothing high end (except the prices) about our experience. Will not return to that restaurant again.
Really enjoyed the food and the dining experience
Great service and they know the details of fine dining
Really-Italian restaurant with fresh choices.
Great wait staff and great view.
Great service and food, too bad the big table next to us made it a poor experience. Realtor/broker types swearing and talking big money, oh so proud.
Always a treat to eat ! Amazing seafood!lovey place !
It took 25 minutes to get service.
Had to go ask the hostess to find someone to help us.
Great Staff, excellent cuisine and extensive wine list. Lobster Bisque is exceptional.
Our meal was delicious and the service was very good. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
Went for Valentine’s Day dinner which should be a romantic and special evening. Sadly the food was not good and the amount of time we waited in between the starter and the mean was outrageous. Arrived at 830 and did not leave until 1030. The main arrived only 15 min before we left. Oh and as part of a set menu... prawns and scallops came... cold! Very disappointing.
A great place to celebrate a special occasion. Service was excellent throughout the evening. The meals are not inexpensive, but the portion size for the meat dishes was larger than many comparable restaurants. One of the dishes we ordered had clearly been modified from the menu description (and I suspect the servers were not notified), but otherwise all of our meals were cooked perfectly. The lamb was fabulous. Was very pleased to discover that the corkage fee is only $25 - a definite plus when you want to bring a special bottle of wine.
Nice ambiance, staff friendly and provides great service and good food and presentation.
Our expectations were set very high for Tramonto. Sadly, we were very disappointed.
Tramonto bills themselves as a 'Fine Dining' restaurant but I'd rate them a few step down to something like Earls. Casual dining at best.
We will not be returning.
The food, service and ambience are all very good. Only complaint is the very high price of booze. Almost a rip when wine is at least 3 times liquor store price.
Service was good, staffs were very friendly, food was delicious. Will recommend to family and friends.
The service was the best I have ever had. Definitely gonna recommend this restaurant to my friends
I had been to Tramonto last year for dine out with friends and really enjoyed the food, however this year I was disappointed with the main course and dessert the soup was very tasty. My choice of cod I found it to small pieces of over fried cod, as for the dessert I thought there was very little toffee and dry pudding with a very small dab of ice cream. When I asked my co workers they felt they said the same thing about the cod, the chocolate dessert had very little chocolate.
I found the wine to be very expensive and was disappointed the the gratuity was included without any notice prior to booking as I spoke with Mckenzie several times who was very pleasant I was disappointed with our waiter his service was okay but not a warm or friendly person
The overall experience at Tramonto was okay. The only let down was the quality of food. My friend and I chose this restaurant to try the dine out menu because of the good ratings on Yelp. Great customer service and love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Scallops were a bit small and has a “ocean-y” taste and the fried cod was a bit dry.
The food choice is not good at all.
Very good service on a busy Dine Out Vancouver evening. The food needs a little bit of refining but the quality was very good.
