a bit disappointed that we reserved the Italian Kitchen online but upon arriving was told the IT was closed and all dining was in the Trattoria. Food was good as was the service and wine, but the noise levels are through the roof.

Nowhere close to the other Italian kitchen restaurants in terms of atmosphere or fine dining. Didn’t realize it was a family restaurant like old spaghetti factory.

The truffled spaghetti is the best item on the menu and the reason why we decided to dine here.

My wife decided to order the risotto and found it so so. I later tasted the risotto at the end of the meal and it was undercooked and hard to the bite. I am not sure why she did not say something earlier. Anyways, the setvice was excellent and remeber to order the pasta if you visit. It's fantastic

It was extremely cold in the restaurant. Even though we had a reservation, we were given a tiny table by the door, and beside a window, which only added to the cold. We shared 2 pizzas and barely had the room to keep them on the table. Awkward! The caprese salad was nice, and the pizzas were good, but the anchovies on the pizza tasted old and off, which was hard to get through. We didn't finish the one pizza and did not want to take it home. Service was good and we were even offered free sangria, which we had to decline, as we do not drink alcohol.

There was a bit of a screw up with our meals. But, it was all rectified perfectly. Everyone worked very hard and were extremely sincere. We got a free dessert too! Yes! Tiramisu and it was delicious! Thanks again. We'll be back!

Had a really good experience there on my birthday. I felt as soon as we walked through the door we had the staffs attention as their customer focus. Excellent and not over the top service. Polite, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Food excellent and good value for money. Especially on a Wednesday for 1/2 price wine. Good spot for a special occasion or date night.

Our server was a delight. However, the noise level was intolerable. Lousy acoustics.
A nearby table had a couple of adults and the children with them ran around shrieking. They were of an age, 5-10?, who should have been able to sit through an entire meal properly. I blame the parents .......never taught them to behave.
My pasta was perfectly prepared, but the short rib sauce itself had only two shreds of meat.

Girlfriend's night out. Great service & food, except for being rushed with main course before finishing appies. As a result, our main course cooled while we finished our appies. We realize that we should have sent our main back, until we'd finished our appetizers. Next time!

We had a great friends get together over good food, wine and service. Our server was a breath of fresh air, so nice and cheery; she was just very likeable. The food is always good here, and good value. The menu is varied, veg and gluten free options are available, mods can be made to just about anything. We were there on Wine Wednesday, really can it get much better than stellar Italian food and half-priced bottles of wine. And they're great at accommodating private groups. A definite two thumbs up.

The pasta collection (minimum 2 or 3 to have this.. it's big!) was quite different. Sharing diners pick among the long (28" ? 75 cm?) dish with several pasta dishes arranged along the length.

Otherwise, good Italian food. Not spectacular. About what you'd expect from a restaurant in a mall parking lot. No, that doesn't sound right. I can imaging much worse in/near a mall. For a mall restaurant, well above average.

My husband and I took my mom out for a special dinner with my almost 2 year old. The service was amazing! The food was incredible! The wine was delicious! The waitress was so sweet to my daughter. My daughter put back a whole bowl of pasta it was so good she keep yelling thank you to the waitress haha. My mom had the lamb shank with risotto it's was unbelievably good! I had the veal and Brussels sprouts - they were so delicious I can't wait to go back! My husband of course had one of their famous pastas and was thourougly pleased! We also had the Beef carpaccio and prosciutto with burrata appetizer - both were the best I've ever had anywhere!
Reccomend the Italian donuts mmmm
Can't wait to return!!

Food was cold when arrived as the plates were left sitting on the kitchen counter for pick up for so long. Ingredients for pizza were not baked with the crust, instead just dropped on it after it was baked. So there was no chance for all the ingredients to "marry" together to create taste. So the way of making the pizza was more like making a sandwich.

I came here with my boyfriend who had a concussion and requested to sit outside as it was far too noisy inside. We came for the $12 pasta Tuesday special.

Sitting outside was mostly fine except for screaming teenagers who like to hangout in shopping centres. Obviously not the restaurants fault, outside was just not the most peaceful location.

The food was good, although the portion sizes were quite small. Having never been here before I don't know if that's because they're discounted or if they're always small. Either way we weren't completely satisfied at the end of our meal and still quite hungry.

Our server was mostly fine although never offered us any pepper or cheese with our meals. I got the feeling she just wanted us to leave as she put the bill Infront of us and took payment before I'd even finished my glass of wine.

I was incredibly excited to come to trattoria as I'd heard great things. Although to be honest, I wasn't overly excited and wouldn't be in a rush to go back. This is due to the service and food only being average.

Im a frequent goer so i have no problem with the menu selection, price and the welcoming service in general, but my last visit was quite different. The server had such an attitude that i cannot have a relaxing dinner with my mother and grandma that we were hoping for, at the generally more peaceful area of west Vancouver. We were actually hoping time would pass by faster to get out of the restaurant. First off, the waitress was rough, the way she talks fits to be in a southern pub rather. My table napkins were literally being tossed on to my lap instead of either handing it over or placed onto me. (not that i request this to be done to begin with, i think the staff were trained to unwrap the napkins and place it for the customer, but i feel uneasy when someone does that for me so i normally would try to have the napkin handed over instead.) i had my hand opened preparing to take the napkin but it was tossed onto my lap instead and she turned around and walked away. She came back with water,... Splashes everywhere on the table as she pours it. Didn't get on my phone and wallet but left a large puddle of water on the table. She then left one menu for us so that was nice but she placed the menu on the puddle of water. We later ased her to wipe the water because it was such a mess and as she lift the menu in such a fashion, the water fling on to my mother who sat across from that wet seat. Food came, plates were being served roughly on the table, it was a nightmare felt like we were part of a prank video. We wanted to have a group photo taken together so we grabbed another waitress who happened to walked by to help us with that, her name was Kyra, my mother and grandma were delighter to see her genuine and kind smile on her face. Kyra made our night. Please say thank you to Kyra for us.

Hostess was fantastic: she set up a table for us outside in the shade. We were a party of 4: 1 toddler and 3 adults, one of which has mobility challenges. Server was fantastic: she took toddler's order and our drink order right away. All of our food came out in a very reasonable amount of time and it was all delicious. My one complaint was the size of the bread in the panzanella salad...they were way too big. Well done Trattoria! We will definitely be back.

Our service was poor. I was there with my mother and seated early (5:30pm) at a not very busy time. I specifically asked about a sharing platter of pasta that I had had there a year prior. The waitress asked her manager about it and said there was no such option.
We made our chose from the menu, but the waitress seated another table of six beside us, and tended to them over us. Their orders were taken and we tried to get her attention to no avail. My back was to her, but my mother who tried waving someone/anyone over, said it looked like she was folding napkins! I eventually took my menu over to the bar/computer area to order.
When we paid our bill, she told us it was her first day, and it sounded as though she had been working since lunch. A little supervision on her first day would've probably made her more comfortable, and improved our overall experience.
To top it off, as we left the restaurant, I saw tables with platters of sharing pasta. When I asked a manager about this, he said it was only on the ground floor menu. Perhaps when I asked about it in the first place, I could've been told it was available downstairs. The restaurant was not full and it was really what I had come for in the first place. I would've happily moved downstairs (and maybe had a more experienced server).

Trattoria never disappoints. I have eaten here many times and the food is always good. The pasta gambeari is excellent! I like the use of capers which add a little pop of taste to the meal. The server brought out a taste of their new coffee cake with orio spread. Could have eaten the whole loaf! Excellent service, very attentive. Will keep going back!
