Our meals were delicious but the not very at all. I really should have sent it back, but was hungry so just ate fast. It would have been nice to have some dinner rolls of some kind.
A friend and I celebrated both of our birthdays here the other night. The squash pizza was fabulous. The server mentioned we would get a free dessert, but it never materialized and then we had to leave as going to a play. Overall it was an excellent evening.
Didn’t appreciate the fact that they could not brew a fresh pot of coffee for us when requested. They did offer americani instead but that was not we wanted. It was about 9:30 pm on. Saturday night!!
Great...but a bit too loud...difficult at times to hear conversation
We went on Tuesday which is the discount pasta night, so it was very busy. But we were seated and not attended to by an server for at least 10 minutes. The table that came after us was. We finally got served and ordered our food. I received the wrong type of wine and had to send it back. I've had the calamari at Italian Kitchen twice and thought it was amazing. But we got calamari, and that was the worst we've ever had. We sent it back. The manager ( I believe he was the manager) was super nice and helpful, he took the time to talk to us and told us we would have a sweet treat at the end. It made things better finally. We got out meals and they were good, but I had meatballs with mine and they were not as good as I remembered. We finished up and the manager brought us the dessert, which was delicious. He did a really good job turning things around and I wasn't going to right a review... but then I got sick from the food, likely the meat balls. So overall it was a very dissatisfying experience other than the lovely manager who tried to make it right for us. After this bad experience and getting sick, we don't plan to ever return to this restaurant.
At 7:30 on a Sunday evening we were seated immediately and had a choice of several tables. Our server was attentive, took our order when we were ready and delivered the food a short time later. It arrived hot and was delicious and done well. I had Short Rib Pappardelle while my wife had Spaghetti Carbonara. The portions were large and we took some home for another meal. We asked the manager some questions about the name and what Trattoria means and were given several minutes of his time chatting about the place and the food. There was a large group of about 14 or so diners that was seated when we arrived and were still there when we left. A young family beside us had a good time as well with children well fed and falling asleep as they left. We were told that we could stay on and enjoy the table as long as we wanted. All in all - a great evening that we will come back again for. There are lots of pastas and salads left to try!
Ample quantities of fresh salad and delicious pizza made sharing easy for a friends’ get together lunch. Good and prompt service made for an enjoyable experience.
my dinner at trattoria was on a saturday evening.
i went with a dear friend who had never been before.
the atmosphere and vibe of trattoria is so wonderful...i love it.
the food was exceptional...my only feedback is that the timing of courses arriving at the table could have been better.
i will be back for sure!
Our server Michal took really good Care of us. The food was outstanding. Many restaurants don’t give the option of ordering from the a la carte menu on days when there are specials but trattoria gave us that option.
Service and wine selection was wine selection was good. Appetizer was too heavily breaded for my liking. Main course veal was tough and dry. Restaurant did an excellent job of rectifying the meals and get full marks for the service they provided. Overall a good experience and I would return.
Trattoria was a great experience! Tables are bit crowded and feel uncomfortable in that sense but otherwise great restaurant!
Food was so delicious and staff was great with our toddler. We actually had mom talk and shared experiences and parenting tips. It was great!
Good value, good food, enhanced by “wine Wednesday”!
came here for dineout 2018. The mussles and clam appetizer was unexpectedly bigger portion, mussles were great, very fresh. The braised pork cheek was good, except i didn't like the parmesan polenta, it was my first time trying polenta actually. Lingcod was also good. Tiramisu was abit wet at the bottom but the taste was good. Portion was filling, overall a satisfactory dinner for $30
Really mice place for a casual get together and a glass of wine. Had the charcuterie. Just perfect
Good service, fresh ingredients, & luncheon value meal deal made for a delicious & economical get together to mark a friend’s birthday Recommended.
a bit disappointed that we reserved the Italian Kitchen online but upon arriving was told the IT was closed and all dining was in the Trattoria. Food was good as was the service and wine, but the noise levels are through the roof.
great server - friendly and professional. good food and didn't have to wait long.
wine wednesday great idea. would go again
Nowhere close to the other Italian kitchen restaurants in terms of atmosphere or fine dining. Didn’t realize it was a family restaurant like old spaghetti factory.
The truffled spaghetti is the best item on the menu and the reason why we decided to dine here.
My wife decided to order the risotto and found it so so. I later tasted the risotto at the end of the meal and it was undercooked and hard to the bite. I am not sure why she did not say something earlier. Anyways, the setvice was excellent and remeber to order the pasta if you visit. It's fantastic
Really great service from “Mac”. He was very attentive, helpful, and friendly.
Great food too!
It was extremely cold in the restaurant. Even though we had a reservation, we were given a tiny table by the door, and beside a window, which only added to the cold. We shared 2 pizzas and barely had the room to keep them on the table. Awkward! The caprese salad was nice, and the pizzas were good, but the anchovies on the pizza tasted old and off, which was hard to get through. We didn't finish the one pizza and did not want to take it home. Service was good and we were even offered free sangria, which we had to decline, as we do not drink alcohol.
There was a bit of a screw up with our meals. But, it was all rectified perfectly. Everyone worked very hard and were extremely sincere. We got a free dessert too! Yes! Tiramisu and it was delicious! Thanks again. We'll be back!
I like this place but only thing that happens each time we go to global chain restaurant is the service is horrible!!!! Their food is nice but service is been always been not good for us. We got seating and the server didn’t come for 10 min.
Had a really good experience there on my birthday. I felt as soon as we walked through the door we had the staffs attention as their customer focus. Excellent and not over the top service. Polite, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Food excellent and good value for money. Especially on a Wednesday for 1/2 price wine. Good spot for a special occasion or date night.
Faboulous food and quick and great service. Highly recommend it. Great veal and pastas. Superb deserts.
Our server was a delight. However, the noise level was intolerable. Lousy acoustics.
A nearby table had a couple of adults and the children with them ran around shrieking. They were of an age, 5-10?, who should have been able to sit through an entire meal properly. I blame the parents .......never taught them to behave.
My pasta was perfectly prepared, but the short rib sauce itself had only two shreds of meat.
Food was great, as usual! Such a deal on Tuesday nights!
Great place for a casual dinner
First time here for semi business lunch. All requests fulfilled. Good food and good service. Friendly atmosphere. Would go again,
Girlfriend's night out. Great service & food, except for being rushed with main course before finishing appies. As a result, our main course cooled while we finished our appies. We realize that we should have sent our main back, until we'd finished our appetizers. Next time!
We had a great friends get together over good food, wine and service. Our server was a breath of fresh air, so nice and cheery; she was just very likeable. The food is always good here, and good value. The menu is varied, veg and gluten free options are available, mods can be made to just about anything. We were there on Wine Wednesday, really can it get much better than stellar Italian food and half-priced bottles of wine. And they're great at accommodating private groups. A definite two thumbs up.
An interest brunch menu and a good cocktail hour made for a nice and relaxing Birthday brunch... good service along with this made the afternoon very chill.
$12 pasta Tuesday is great. As is half price wine Wednesdays. I love this place.
We were a group of friends who had an enjoyable meal together on the roof of the restaurant., The pizza was very tasty! Excellent service.
The pasta collection (minimum 2 or 3 to have this.. it's big!) was quite different. Sharing diners pick among the long (28" ? 75 cm?) dish with several pasta dishes arranged along the length.
Otherwise, good Italian food. Not spectacular. About what you'd expect from a restaurant in a mall parking lot. No, that doesn't sound right. I can imaging much worse in/near a mall. For a mall restaurant, well above average.
Great atmosphere and value! Excellent service from our server Jaime.
Unfortunately the service that we got on July18th for dinner on the patio was absolutely aweful. We had a good time despite of this.
lunch with co-workers
It was great
