The mushroom gnocchi were okay. The sauce was the star of the dish but the gnocchi tasted mostly of flour. The tomato peach salad was disappointing. The tomato and peaches were falling apart and it wasn’t flavourful. The Arctic char and lobster was something I could have made at home. The first time it came to the table it wasn’t cooked. The waiter took it back to the kitchen right away and was very good about the whole thing. When it came back it was cooked properly and was good but nothing special.

Had a wonderful pre-theater dinner on their patio. Service was impeccable and friendly. The sommelier recommended the perfect Ontario wine to accompany our meal which we both raved about.

Outstanding service and fantastic food. Talk to the sommelier to make the most of the local wines, which are incredible! We never gave much thought to Ontario wine previously but there are some gems to be sure.
From charcuterie to steak and pork, the kitchen puts out an incredible and flavourful display of local cuisine. Highly recommended.

The service, as always, was excellent. Unfortunately, (assuming that it’s because it was a Monday) the food was not up to our expectations. The foie gras was burnt and the seafood was more fishy than normal. The wine pairing suggestion didn’t pair well with the entree (the sides were a bit overpowering). We have eaten here before and the food is usually much better. I’m assuming/hoping this is a one off.

Overall, the place was quite nice, but overpriced for what you get. It is Niagara-on-the-Lake, so the price was expected.

Pros: the ambiance was pleasant, and our server was friendly. Vegan options are limited, but they do have them. The main dish my husband and I shared (fricassee / orzo) was surprisingly tasty (I usually don't care for orzo). For us, the portions were adequate, but for anyone who is used to eating large meals, you may be disappointed. It appeared that non-vegan dishes were larger in proportions (but also in cost).

Cons: On the vegetarian / vegan menu, we ordered a salad without cheese, but it came with large cheese shavings anyway. Luckily we not the type of vegans that freak out about this, and since it was easy to remove it, we did so. Also, they don't use olive oil, but soybean oil. Considering the cost and the type of establishment, I'm really surprised by this. To not use olive oil is bad enough, but to replace it with such an inferior product is really disappointing.

We loved our lunch. We shared mussels and gnochi as apps then shared steak frittes as our main. Every bite was fantastic. We added a great Ontario red which made the experience really enjoyable. We can't wait to back!

We visited this restaurant to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The menu looked amazing online so we thought we would try it. We were blown away and the food exceeded our expectation. The Lobster Club was insanely delicious as was the steak. The peach and nut cake was the perfect capper. The service overall was incredible and our server Sydney was phenomenal. If the top restaurants anywhere in the world are 5 stars, this place would be 6 stars. It’s that good!

WE liked the food and environment so much at dinner, that we went back for lunch the next day. Ate on the patio both times as weather was beautiful and 71 degrees F.

This was one of THE best restaurants we have ever been to!
A must is to sit at the kitchen bar where you are watching the chefs hard at work...it was like live entertainment as we drooled over all the different dishes that were being prepared.
We had the gnocchi as an appetizer (deeeelicious) followed by the pork and beef meals that were mouth watering. The portions were just right and the presentation was on point. Instead of dessert we had the fries which was pared with a sparking-who would have thought!? Fantastic! Fantastic! Fantastic!

The mushroom gnocchi is TO DIE FOR! We shared it, but easily both could have had our own and double the flavor! Also, highly recommend the creamy onion soup. My hubs doesn't love onions, but loved this soup. I couldn't decide between the halibut and the char, so we got them both. Hands-down, the halibut was the better of the two dishes. With 2 starters, 3 entrees (hubby got the beef/mushroom- more delicious mushrooms, hurrah!) and 2 glasses of wine total, bill was around $200. We recommend this restaurant for people who really love well prepared food, with wine pairings. Service was EXCEPTIONAL. Give yourself time to park and browse the nearby shops before or after dinner. Give it a try!

My wife and I had lunch on the patio, along with our dog, Sam. My cheeseburger and fries were very good and my wife’s salmon was just right. Our server was very congenial and took excellent care of Sam’s needs too.

We had a disappointing evening dinner. The reviews were good so we came to eat early by 5:30. Instead of being seated outside on a nice day which we wanted, they seated us right near the kitchen in a hot and noisy spot. The food was decent but the noise and atmosphere made for a not-so-good dinner.

In general: Waitress was kind and friendly. Restaurant environment was pleasant. Incorrect order was served, and foods on the same plate were completely different temperatures (clearly not a deliberate choice).

For vegans: Before booking a reservation, I checked to see if there were any vegan options available. The menu online said that there was a separate vegan menu, so I booked. However, there was only one option-- an incredibly small serving of a bland sunflower seed salad. We left hungry.

the service was great. The food also tasted great. The only negative thing I have to say, is my boyfriend and I shared the scallops for an appetizer. Later in the evening him and I were quite sick. The sickness hit us at the same time, and the only thing we can trace back to us feeling like that would be our the scallops (as we both shared the dish).

Fabulous dinner at Treadwell's. I had the Arctic char W small lobster claws meat and my husband had the pork tenderloin, both were out of this world. We had a bottle of California Chardonnay, Poseidon and it was perfect with our meals. Desserts were excellent as well. Service was excellent and we did not feel rushed at all. We ate out on the patio and it was a perfect summer's evening. Thank you Treadwell for making our Anniversary dinner perfect.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch on the patio this afternoon. The service was fantastic and the food was very memorable. The flavour of the food was amazing and fresh!!!! We will definitely be back!!!
