My wife and both love Treadwell. Service couldn't be better. My wife had venison & pork burger that was incredible. I had the Sunday rump roast with a chipotle glaze. Now there were two slices of meat and both were cooked medium rare but one was tougher. That's rump roast. They should use a more tender cut, even top sirloin. So that is the only knock I have. The chipotle glaze was just mildly spicy. Baby carrots had incredible flavour as did the fingerling potatoes. We spit the Petit Gateau "chocolate cake" that was also incredible.

The food was nothing less than exceptional. The perfect word to describe it would be decadent! The service was wonderful, and we enjoyed every minute of our time there!

My friends and I arrived 20 minutes early and told our table was not yet ready, so we were seated in an "annex" sort of more casual dining room. We enjoyed our meal, and our server was excellent. We had the burger and chef's salad with quinoa and salmon and they were delicious.
I would go back there with my husband.

Treadwells is a must when visiting Niagara on the Lake-for me when I make my room reservation I automatically make my Treadwell reservation.
I have been going to Treadwells at Niagara on the Lake since 2015 and have eaten there at least 6 times- the counter space is fun and sitting at a table is just as nice.
I have had groups of 6 or just 2 of us-the owner is friendly and welcoming and the staff is so accommodating.
I have recommended Treadwells to all my friends and relatives and will continue to make that part of my visit for as long as Treadwells will have me!

One of the best meals that I have had in a long time. all the flavours complimented each other yet were distinctive on their own. Kudo's to the chef.

In a region loaded with seriously amazing restaurants, this one stands out. The food is just amazing, as is the ambiance.

If you have a huge appetite, this might not be the place for you. Smallish portions, but in keeping with the style of restaurant.

Simply unmatched wine. Try the 2012 Stratus Cabernet... you may never be the same.

Also, try the wine bar. We met couples from around the world and had great conversations.

We had a wonderful time. There was a challenge that the restaurant went over and beyond on. A few bites into my main course, I realised that it was not to my taste: it was EXACTLY as the menu had described and the chef had cooked it well. It just wasn't what I wanted that night. The vegetables were some of the best I have ever tasted but the protein wasn't. The server noticed but I told her not to worry. In fact I tried to disguise that I had not eaten that much. When the server came to remove the plate, we had a discussion were I tried to make clear that it was 100% my issue. We asked them not to worry about it.

But when the bill arrived the dish had been removed from the bill. We would have protested more -- honest -- but there was a taxi waiting for us.

Anyway, the restaurant truly cares about their food and having clients enjoy it.

I should mention that they were great help with the wine choice and nicely but discretely acknowledged my wife's birthday with a small (gluten free as requested) post dinner treat.

Its a small room and a short menu -- so make sure that you want something on it or be willing to be flexible.

We will return and will happily recommend it to anyone interested in good service.

We had the chefs tasting which was a 6 course meal paired with sommelier Tony’s recommendations.
The meal and the wine did not disappoint.
Hands down top 5 meals I’ve had.
Can’t say good enough about this restaurant.

Enjoyed Treadwells on a Sunday night getaway with my wife. The food was superb and the service was excellent. We were very impressed by the young people not only delivering the service but doing the cooking as well. We spoke with the young sous chef and he said that he was 21 years old. They did a great job. We would highly recommend the dining experience at this establishment.

The restaurant was awesome. Food was delicious and service was fantastic. I really enjoyed the patio screen room which was heated (October) and was candlelit. The bill with a good tip was $210 for my wife and I. I feel like $150 would have been more appropriate given the size of portions.

Food was not as great as when they first opened at this location. In particular their much touted lobster club sandwich was a disappointment. The challenge for them is what had attracted us previously was great food despite their lack of natural scenery like some of the outstanding places to eat at the wineries. Was not impressed this time around. Maybe we had a kitchen staff that day not as inspired but executive chef should be there for quality control.

Treadwell always impresses with its creativity & quality of food, attentive knowledgeable service, and fabulous Niagara region wine recommendations. Yes, this is an upscale restaurant, so expect to pay based on value not quantity of food. That said, we didn't leave hungry and in fact because we stopped in for lunch, and the food was so good, we were in no rush to have dinner later (in a good way!).

The servers were knowledgeable and approachable. The sommelier was helpful with the distinctions in the wines we were having and in letting us know if or how much local wine we could expect to find at the local LCBO, when we asked her about it.
The food arrived warm enough with enough variety and freshness to delight the palette. My fish was just the right combination of 'crispy on the outside and cooked to tenderness on the inside'.
Thank you for an all around satisfying visit to your restaurant.

I loved this restaurant as it truly is Farm-to-table. Wait staff are extremely professional and knowledgeable. We had the short ribs and they were fantastic. Our waiter suggested the dish and we were extremely grateful. In fact, the couple next to us decided to order them too and we're thrilled with the choice. The wine list is outstanding - tried the Stratus Red and then went to the winery the next day and bought six bottles of it and an additional 12 bottles of other great wines sold there.

Last sitting, 9PM - hostess was not friendly especially when we asked to sit outside (she had to set the table). Service was professional but not special; food was good but not for cost. Appetizer was not refined (marrow and tuna) - tuna was cut into big chunks. Never offered a bread or anything prior to the meal which would have been nice given the overall cost. Left with not the best feeling. Food came out quite quickly. Lacked a special dining experience.

This is our second time at Treadwell, but it has been probably 3 years since we were last there. It is nice to see that the quality has not diminished, but has possibly even improved.
We sat at the bar, as it was a busy Thanksgiving weekend there. It didn't diminish our experience at all. In fact we quite liked it a the bar.
The service was top-notch, and the meal was great. You feel like you are some place special when you eat here.
There is no denying that Treadwell is not a cheap place to eat, but you get great quality for the price. While this isn't necessarily a place for every day eating, it is definitely a wonderful restaurant for a date night or a special occasion.

This was our third time dining there (once a year when we’re in NOTL). It never disappoints. Excellent food, excellent service. It’s a little crowded—you can feel like you’re sitting on top of the people next to you if you’re at the beck seats in the back, and it’s a very small space so it can be a little noisier than other places. But we always enjoy our meals there!

Food was outstanding, as always, but we felt as though we were being rushed even though the place was half empty. Our appetizers were barely done and the next course was placed in front of us. Both mains were cold and had obviously been prepared too far ahead of time. They took them back and prepared new ones which gave us time to at least finish the wine we’d ordered with our apps at least. The people beside us complained very politely about being rushed as well and the server was rather curt in her response; as she was with us when when we informed her our meals were cold. I am not saying the service was poor but it wasn’t up to par either. We will go again because one less than stellar experience doesn’t write the place off but it is something they should be aware of.
