Trius Winery Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We enjoyed a fantastic lunch at Trius Winery. The appetizers were great, followed by the roast chicken and braised lamb. Joshua was a great waiter, well balanced between personable and professional. I certainly recommend Trius.
We always look forward to dining at Trius when we are in the Niagara area. It is especially nice during the Christmas season.
Extremely SLOW service for a lunch during house tour day
By far the best food.the best value in NOTL.
Just love it!
As usual, Chef Dodd didn't disappoint! Awesome lunch with awesome friends - the perfect way to spend an afternoon. I sampled all the entrees - flatbread with pulled pork and chorizo, Mennonite chicken, and lamb shank. All delicious with outstanding wine pairings.
My wife and I and two friends had lunch at Trius a few days ago. The meal was excellent, service great and the wines that they paired with our starters and main courses were some of the best I have ever had. All in all a great meal. Gluten free not a problem. They even had warm gluten free bread from the oven for me to enjoy.
Service and food were 5 star
We went for Fabulicious and it was. Our only complaint...We ordered a beer to start and mentioned how we wanted to enjoy it prior to starting our tasting menu offerings with wine. Our waitress made us believe that she would take care of it and there was no need for our concern of being served before the appropriate time, but within 10 minutes our wine pairing and appetizer arrived. So there we sat with tempting food staring back at us while we tried not to rush our first beverages. :(
We were a foursome for the Fabulicious promotion. We all chose the lamb shank for the main and it was excellent, served with a white bean cassoulet. Dinner ($39) with a glass of wine and a coffee and tax was $57/head.
Family girl’s lunch before heading to Niagara Falls for a nights stay. Was a great way to start our little get away in Niagara. Service was top notch and food was delicious. Plan on returning! Thanks for a wonderful experience.
We went to Trius Winery Restaurant for Fabulicious. You get a 3-course lunch for $25. The food was excellent, service was prompt but not overbearing. Overall an excellent experience I would recommend to anyone.
The service at Trius is always beyond amazing. The food is delicious. The butternut squash pumpin is just the best.
Really great dining and wine pairing, excellent advice from our waiter, who we've had in the past. Great evening for the four of us, our guests were delighted and will I am sure go back to Trius on their own in the future. Keep up the good work!
The food was fantastic, the ambience delightful, and the service was very noteworthy. Our waiter was a true professional, and was always one step ahead of our needs. Bravo!!!
The food is absolutely amazing!!! The squash soup was to die for! Loved everything about this restaurant. Service was impeccable. Deffinately one of my favourite places to eat!
Outstanding experience. Will absolutely be returning!
Only item to note was that shared meal protion size was a little small. Amazing food and wine pairings. We will come back for sure.
We were somewhat disappointed with our experience at Trius. The service is very friendly, we were seated soon after our arrival and the decor and ambiance were excellent.
We had a 3 course meal with wine pairings. Both the appetizers and desserts were quite good. One of the mains (the fish and chips) was good but the lamb shank was tough and chewy. It was also quite bland.
The wine pairings also left something to be desired. The wines we were offered as pairings were almost exclusively at the lower end of their range. The exception was a Vidal ice wine that was served with one of the desserts that was excellent. It would have been nice to have been offered their Trius 'Red' blend which is lovely or one of their wild fermentation or barrel fermentation whites.
While I really like Trius the winery, I do not plan to return to the Trius restaurant.
the fabulicious menu was excellent. great choices and great food combined with excellent service
Great value for its "Fabulicious" menu. Every course was mouth-watering.
our lunch was amazing. We drove 2 hours to enjoy the fabulicious lunch menu. Food was amazing and service was very good. Great value and worth the drive.
First visit to the restaurant - was very impressed. The food was amazing. Going back tonight for dinner with the girls - wish the ribeye burger was on the dinner menu tonight!
OMG was soooo good!!!
Amazing food as always. Went for Fabulicious but usually it is pricey.
Trius knocked it out of the park for Fabulicious. Each course was innovative, delicious and well paired with the wines selected for the menu.
Great service. Great experience.
Un endroit magnifique. Très belles présentations, service impeccable.
We have always enjoyed visiting Trius. The food is always excellent but this visit the butternut squash went above and beyond!!!
Simply 1st class! Great value for the quality of food. The service was impeccable, the server was above and beyond friendly & professional.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday brunch.
The food was very tasty and the service was great!
Out of town guests.
Everything was wonderful from the food and wine to the service. We came down for the wine club weekend, but it was also our wedding anniversary and my brother and sister-in-law (who introduced us to the wine club) have since built a new house in St.David's. I absolutely love the whole experience at the winery and especially at the Trius Winery Restaurant. I look forward to coming again next November or hopefully in the Spring as well.
Food was awful. Ambience very nice. Would never go back
Our favourite restaurant to eat at in Niagara. Fantastic food which is always presented creatively. Great wines and excellent, informative service.
Great service. Greeted with sparkling wine as it was our anniversary. My husband loves the steak he ordered. Not a lot vegetarian options.
The wait staff were truly exceptional. My group felt pampered when all our meals came out at once with one staff per diner. Our sommelier explained the wine and the process for pouring it - the decanter was amazing! And the food - wow! Everyone loved their meal. We have already recommended Trius to all our friends. A fantastic evening was had by all.
It was my boyfriend’s bday and it was special enough for us to have dinner at Trius!
Good staff and good food with wine pairing. We had nice conversation with great atmosphere! I would definetely recommend this place to my friends.
We enjoyed the Trius Winery Restaurant following a day in Niagara on the Lake and a tour of the winery in the late afternoon. The place is elegant, with a nice outdoor patio for the summer season. The service was a bit slow considering the few patrons, but our server was very experienced and pleasant. Our party of four ordered different entrees and appetizers and shared them. Our favorites were the duck egg, the cauliflower spinach pizza (don't be fooled by this description - it is a deconstructed plate of those ingredients with a lovely presentation) the steak and the lamb. All were beautifully presented and prepared and tasted delicious. The Trius wines were a nice compliment. We enjoyed the sparkling wine and the Trius Red. I would skip their white wine as it is not as appealing as the red. We would definitely go back.
I went for a Sunday lunch with 3 friends and having their 3 courses brunch menu. There're a few choices for appetizer , main and dessert. All dishes come with good presentation and were delicious. We opted for the wine pairing and were not disappointed.
We ate lunch here the day before and ended up ordering the same meal the following night as there was no other fish option (website menu showed halibut). We found the Friday meal superior to Saturday meal, although both were good.
Great restaurant, great service & great food! Have been there 3 times and plan to return again soon!
It was our first time dining at Trius and it was a memorable and enjoyable time. Food was amazing as expected and service was wonderful. Very charm-full place but also very well put together. The menu is small but that’s a good thing because whatever does come out of the kitchen always hits the mark.
