Food, service and ambience were amazing! The waitress was super helpful and knew all the ingredients. I really recommend to try The Beef blade with the root vegetables, delicious!!!

Came here for my birthday and had such a great experience! The steaks we had were perfectly good and really tasty and the rest of the food was great too. The service was amazing and couldn’t have asked for better :).

I booked this place as I was told it served chicken schnitzel. Sadly it is no longer on the menu. My ginger parkin was not very gingery but pleasant enough. The Baileys cheesecake was not very Baileys flavoured but again pleasant enough. Service was good and would recommend this place . Just needs a few tweaks to make it really good

We came for Sunday roast after Easter services at the abbey. The atmosphere is very nice, the service was attentive yet not intrusive and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The Yorkshire pudding was superb!

Due to its fascinating history, stories of ghosts and stunning Tudor architecture, 'The White Hart' is an amazing venue for a meal. However, although clean, its slightly shabby appearance lets the hotel down somewhat, so it is in need of some refurbishment whist hopefully retaining the original fabric of the building and its historic character. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and polite, but the food, although tasty, had a slightly 'retro' vibe and would have benefited from more imaginative presentation, such as the addition of garnish. However, the hotel is centrally located - just a stone's throw from the abbey and town centre shops - and there are some quirky decorative touches, such as the suit of armour standing in the corner of the bar. Therefore, overall, I would recommend the hotel as a suitable venue for a casual meal or a celebration of a special occasion.

Tudors at the White Hart was a great local find. Lovely genuine welcome and service throughout. Good food cooked to perfection - especially steak. Good ambience for a weekday lunch in a beautiful traditional Tudor house/hotel. Highly recommended. Car Park was small so just to be aware get there early just in case you need to find alternative parking.

Great restaurant. The food was good, although my wife's burger was so-so, but the lamb shank I ordered was very good. The best part though is the atmosphere. It' s an old building with half-timbered walls, a huge fireplace, wooden walls and wooden floors. Shall I say more? The only downside was a bit of noise from the pub part (which also looked great) and some customers whose behaviour had been obviously altered by alcohol. We still had a great family night out, and we definitely recommend!

Very atmospheric venue, wood burning stove and wood panelling, very Tudor, as the name suggests. Food was very good, service staff were attentive and quick...overall a very pleasant experience. We have eaten there before and certainly will continue to do so.

No one to welcome us in, online booking system didn’t work and was refused a table initially, staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing, no uniforms, not suitable for family’s with prams. Will not be booking here ever again

We arrived at 7.40pm but didn't finish until 10.45. In this particular circumstance it was acceptable as it was a chance to chat and once at your table, you have it for the evening. Staff are friendly and get the orders correct. The Christmas ambiance was lovely and the bar area full They had a large group of about 20 in that night which obviously kept the kitchen and the waiter busy.

An utter s**t show. Shoved in a cold corner because there was a wedding on. Ignored by staff. Undercooked food. Crowded by the wedding party whilst they shouted over our table whilst we tried to eat. A half heart underwhelming apology from the male waiter who mumbled about a reduction, but still added service charge. Management should be embarrassed. No other external bookings should have been accepted whilst they were hosting a wedding.

We arrived at 1.30 and the service and food were fabulous. We have already booked to go back again and our friends have too. As it got busier we found it hard to get the bill and for someone to return for us to pay it but in all honesty we’d been there a long time and probably outstayed our welcome.
