About Tutti Matti

Tutti Matti serves traditional, authentic Tuscan cuisine, prepared using only fresh seasonal ingredients.
Everything is made in house, including our fresh breads and pastas. Some dishes are permanent productions of our kitchen — gnudi, pinci, papardelle, tagliatelle. Others are more seasonal, like stuffed zucchini flowers in the summers and polpetta and hearty soups in the winter. From day one, we have served venison, wild boar, fennel pork sausage and we love to produce delectable trays of antipasto, which change seasonally and daily (sometimes even mid‐service!)
Discover a great list of Italian wines, carefully selected to match the flavours and spirit of Tuscan food.
Tutti Matti has been hailed by critics and received both local and national awards, including the prestigious 2009 "L'Eccio D'Oro" for Osteria of the Year (an award previously won by Mario Batali and Alain Ducasse).
Located downtown Toronto, steps from the Theatre / Entertainment districts.

Italian waiting times for food here.
Me and my friends have ordered just a second course each and we waited more than an hour for our food to come!
Other then that the food was delicious..

It’s always a joy to have a meal at Tutti Matti. Love the wild boar pasta. And great appetizers. Try the Washington State Sangiovese wine Chingiale.

The best tiramisu in Toronto! Short ribs fell off the bone! Sage stuffed ravioli was melt in your mouth! Unique cocktail blends were excellent! Planning to go every couple weeks!

The restaurant and staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating, we had a great meal and evening out, the menu and food is undoubtedly authentic Tuscan Italian.
This was especially good as the restaurant was very busy and the reservation made via OpenTable had not been received by the restaurant!

Our friend Allison Fryer recommended this restaurant, and we loved it. The capanota was delicious, the beef and chicken both tender, moist and flavorful. Our server put extra bread in our to-go packet so we could have a proper lunch the next day. We'll definitely the next time we're in Toronto.

The food used to be amazing here a few years ago but sadly it's just not what it used to be anymore. It's adequate but disappointing compare to what it used to be.

Had the most delicious meal again at Tutti Matti. Interesting and yummy food, with a great atmosphere and in an ideal location. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted fresh and all plates were generous and well-balanced with flavours and seasoning.

We ordered from the Summerlicious menu. The food was non descript was uniformly disappointing to all members of our group. Our group tried all options on the Summerlicious menu. The chocolate dessert was served in a jar so tiny that the spoon barely fit in.

Very congenial server. We had th Summerlicious set menu. Food was fresh and tasty although both the roasted escarole and the roasted veggies in the main course we're very oily. Dessert was alright.

Overall, our experience was very good. Our server was okay. Mumbled when she spoke. Didn't seem knowledgeable or wasn't able to properly describe the dishes or answer the questions we had. Offered us coffee after we were finished dessert. Didn't come back to check on us.

Not sure if the servers were just having a bad day, but it was pretty clear we were annoying them...... until it came time to paying the bill.

Food was OK. Admittedly we ordered from the Prix Fix menu so we probably should not have been expecting much.

I appreciate a lively restaurant because the sound of ambient conversations picks up one's spirits.
But Tutti Matti is just plain "rock-concert" loud.
Food is tasty enough, but their so called "secondi" should come with something besides a ton of meat, maybe some greens and a bit of starch.
Even their "primi" pastas are too meat-forward.
Tables are small and there are too many of them in the room.
I guess they need to make a buck.
Server was good.
We had the charcuterie board, the pappardelle, the beef ribs, and a bottle of wine.
Our bill with tax and 18% tip came to just over 200 bucks.
Definitely too expensive given that the food is not that creative.
Especially the wine list.
Maybe that's the going rate for Toronto.
Try it if you like a lively place.

Who needs to go to Tuscany for Tuscan food when you can go to Tutti Matti? We were in Tuscany 2 years ago and this food was totally lights out and totally took us back to the trip.
5 star food. Period.
