Tutti Matti serves traditional, authentic Tuscan cuisine, prepared using only fresh seasonal ingredients.
Everything is made in-house, including our fresh bread and pastas. Some dishes are permanent productions of our kitchen — gnudi, pinci, pappardelle, tagliatelle. Others are more seasonal, like stuffed zucchini flowers in the summers and polpetta and hearty soups in the winter. From day one, we have served venison, wild boar, fennel pork sausage and we love to produce delectable trays of antipasto, which change seasonally and daily (sometimes even mid‐service!)
Discover a great list of Italian wines, carefully selected to match the flavors and spirit of Tuscan food.
Tutti Matti has been hailed by critics and received both local and national awards, including the prestigious 2009 "L'Eccio D'Oro" for Osteria of the Year (an award previously
Amazing food, wonderful service and decent public parking available.
Get the pizza dough. Don't think about it, just do it.
Love the warm casual atmosphere. Food is so good and the service friendly. Great place to go as a couple or a group of friends. Highly recommended. Will definitely go again
Appetizers to die for. Brisket pappardelle lovely flavour but brisket was tough and chewy. Should have sent back, but didn’t. Pasta was hard in spots. Not cooked evenly. Service mediocre. Will say they do not rush you so you can relax and enjoy. Will definitely return for appetizers and drinks.
Everything was good
Everything was good. I felt I’m at family dinner. But the portion of the food was very poor. If I pay for a plate of food which is very delicious , it must not deserve a small portion.
Valentine’s everything was amazing!
Went there for a birthday celebration. The service was attentive. The restaurant itself needs some decorating. Too many blank walls that makes it look more like a casual eatery than a place that has $250 bottles of Italian reds. The food was mostly excellent. The restaurant was kind enough to provide a glass of champagne to start. Very thoughtful. We started with the burrata salad and the pizza dough. It was very tasty. Then we shared a boar ragu pasta. It too was amazing. The main meals. One was the short Ribs. They were spectacular. Joucey and tender. The other meal was the fish. It was a decent portion but badly needed salt. The shareable broccoli side was tasty. We stopped the chef/owner to compliment her on the food. She was gracious for a few seconds but walked away leaving us a bit surprised. After spending almost $300 on dinner, you would hope it mattered. Guess not. In any event, foodies would like this place.
The food was mediocre not to say bad - This was a place that served great food and I looked forward to going there when in Toronto - TM is now a nondescript Italian restaurant with mediocre food- I know I won’t go back-
As always great food, not too noisy.
My girlfriend and I went for a Winterlicious dinner. The food was fantastic! The pizza dough with prosciutto was incredible. The ambiance was nice, the staff was very friendly and attentive. It was a memorable meal, I would certainly recommend!
Gorgeous food with very friendly staff will most definitely be back
It was amazing!
Great food and service. I think it is a tad bit over priced but arguably worth it. Very good food. We always enjoy going.
We started our reservation with two people, and by the time we arrived at the restaurant we were four. The restaurant were very accommodating and provided us with excellent hospitality, food and wine. All around it was a wonderful evening, and we look forward to returning soon!
Waitress was very good.
Overall the venue was not warm and welcoming.
Owner/chef very unfriendly Food unimpressive.
My wife and I took our adult kids for our anniversary dinner, and we all ate wonderfully well - with a certain amount of cross-tasting just to be sure. All the food was delicious, though not all choices were healthy by some standards (but that was our choice, of course). Service was first-rate: friendly and helpful but not obtrusive or excessive. We would go back, for a special occasion.
a great meal
I highly recommend it.
Good rustic Tuscan cuisine. Portion size extremely generous. Come with a hearty appetite. Excellent dinner location if going to Bell Lightbox.
Love the pizza, pasta is fair too. They offer feathered dish of the day, however, the waiter did not mention the price. They charge for sparking water as well, without notifying costumers in advance. The waiter did not ask if we want cheese or pepper for our dishes. The atmosphere is really good but still, we feel that we paid way more than what we got.
1st time we had pizza there. It was amazing!
Waited for 1.5hrs before getting mains, even though we were seated before surrounding tables (all tables had 8-10 people). Our team lead had to eat everything quickly and run out before the rest of us due to the huge delay in service. Food was good, but we were on a work lunch and ended up out of the office for 3hrs. We would have ordered dessert/coffee, but couldn't because we were out too long. I had been on a work lunch the week previous and everything came relatively quickly, so I don't think they always have this issue. Still unfortunate.
Tutti Matti is a delicious restaurant in a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. The new pizza menu is a delight. I highly recommend it!
It was smoky (wood burning oven not ventilated properly), cold (doors open in winter to accommodate for oven) and extremely loud. Our food was great - when it finally arrived. The service was not good. Perhaps as there were some large groups there, but that’a not an excuse. We waited a very long time for our food, and then again between courses - and were not asked about wine, coffee, or given proper utensils. This used to be a wonderful intimate spot for a business lunch. They have work to do to get back to their previous level of service.
The service was amazing when we dined and the atmosphere was great. While the food was incredibly fresh and homemade, my only critic was that the food was a little bland. I ordered the Bolognese and the dish really needed salt. It didn’t seem like the pasta water had been salted at all. We also ordered the mushroom crostini. I was a little taken back when it only came with one piece. For the price, I was expecting to get at least two pieces. I was disappointed as it was pricier menu and my expectations weren’t necessarily met.
I don’t like giving negative reviews and don’t want this to be looked at as negative. Our server was amazing and very attentive. I would have enjoyed the experience more so if the food had been seasonsed a bit more.
Wonderful food and great service - Free BYOB made it very economical
First time there and we had an awesome time. Service was great, very attentive. Menu was varied and all of our selections were done perfectly. One of our new favourites!
My partner and I enjoyed our anniversary at Tutti Matti and everyone there treated us wonderfully. The food was terrific and the service really was exceptional.
We visited Tutti Matti on a week night. The ambiance is nice and cozy, good for a quiet conversation. Great wine pairing.
The food is average, the pizza bread was salty and the pasta lacked flavour. The service was slow and not upto the mark.
Overall good for a glass of wine and conversation but would not recommend the food.
Food was very good, traditional well prepared Tuscan dishes. Unfortually the service seemed inattentive, the bartender wasn't sure how to make the house cocktails. The menu seemed a bit overpriced. Really wanted to love this place but it sorta fell short for the price tag
We had visited Tutti Matti in the summer 2017 and had an awesome experience. The owner came to our table, made recommendations for our family, talked about her passion for food, her mom helping with making the homemade pasta, etc. Truly we had a memorable evening. My son, remembering that evening, chose Tutti Matti for his 18th birthday this past weekend. Interior facelift was nice to see. Our service was awful. She appeared rushed, but she didn't even have another table that we could see. She poured water, then disappeared for 8-10 minutes. She returned and realized she had given us lunch menus. She still hadn't taken a drink order from us. When she did return we asked for some recommendations. She told us the specials, one of which included steak, that she said was good. We ordered it - she returned to say it was no longer available. We asked for some advice choosing appetizers; she was unable to provide descriptions of what might be good. We asked her if we could order drinks. She returned to tell my husband they didn't have Southern Comfort. When our food arrived it was disappointing. The boar pasta was as always awesome but the eggplant "meatballs" were flavourless and texture was mush; the sausage toast was a very unappealing colour and lacked much flavour; broccoli with parmesan was okay; the pizza served wasn't what we ordered and when we identified this to the waitress she apologized but had no resolution. And, then she was gone again... Never did get asked if I wanted a refill on my drink, which I totally would have taken at that point. Music was waaaayyy too bass driven and made it impossible to hear your companions, at least where we were sitting. My son had to go ask for the bill - at which point the manager? owner? came over to see what he could make right. Comped the pizza. Overall, sorry to say, not what we remembered or expected at that price point. Giant birthday fail. Oh well.
It’s was great!
Waiting time from the appetizer to the main was a bit too long. Thought our order were forgotten.
Pizza was very delicious though.
Friendly and relaxing atmosphere, good for a Tuesday night dinner. Our waiter had great recommendations for both dinner and wine. Will definitely be coming back!
Poor service, got food before wine.
Took a long time to get the bill
Gnocchi was very average tasting.
WORST SERVICE!!!!! Not worth the money or your time!!
We were a party of 4, we arrived right on time for our reservation but they didn’t sit us for 15 minutes until we finally just decided to sit wherever there was a table open. The waitress didn’t take our drink order for another 30 minutes and once an hour had passed we hadn’t given our food order nor received drinks. The drinks came about 1.5 hours into this experience where the waitress told us the beer couldn’t located so we had to order different beer. The food came 25 minutes after that. My friend said the gnocchi was gross.
It had been a while since my husband and I had been to Tutti Matti and we chose to revisit it on our anniversary. I had the beef shank in red wine and rosemary and my husband had the roast suckling pig. We had the roast squash and the Brussels sprouts for contorni. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be back.
The place was empty when we arrived and our server did not know about the theatre menu. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu options and wine. The food was delicious although the service slowed down considerably as the restaurant filled. We were there pre-theatre and yet our main course salads were not served for over an hour after we’d arrived. I would go back though because the menu was interesting and unusual!
