Umi Sake House is a unique Japanese cuisine restaurant in the Belltown area of Seattle featuring the highest quality seafood available in the Northwest, a large izakaya-style tapas menu, and boasting a sake list of over 60 imported Japanese bottles. The interior is multi-faceted, with a black slate tiled traditional dining room, a gorgeous 14 person capacity wooden sushi bar, a semi private "tatami" room which holds 12 people, a larger 25 person private dining room, an enclosed "back patio" casual dining room complete with tropical garden, a black concrete liquor bar with custom sake cocktails and fusion traditional cocktails. The variety of atmospheres allows for a different experience with every visit, and the vastness and quality of the menu does the same. For the budding sake enthusiast or the seasoned veteran, the sake menu at Umi is bottle for bottle the best found anywhere outside of Japan!

The food and drinks at Umi is excellent. Was at the restaurant with coworkers and everyone was impressed with the quality. The seafood was fresh. For the sushi, rice:fish ratio was excellent, the cooked dishes and full flavours. The top dishes from our dinner was the chicken kaarage (omg, so moist), spicy tomato tofu (what a sauce), the rolls (all were yums). The cocktail drinks were well balanced with unique Umi twists. Def a Seattle fav.

This is a Jem! Great sushi done creatively. Everything was delicious. Service was awesome and the restaurant was beautiful.

Un lugar delicioso, llegamos por recomendación y 100% valió la pena. Fuimos en el happy hour donde los precios son mucho más económico. Por 4 rollos 1 sake y una bebida sin alcohol fueron menos de 55 dlls

Super yummy food. Great drinks. Party atmosphere that was pumping. Very busy but they make it work. Very energetic upbeat place to go eat and hang out. Will definitely be back. We also started out with a cocktail at Bathtub Gin- a funky speakeasy- and then walked to Umi Sake. It was a great night. Sad to see so many drug users on the sidewalks but what can you do? That’s a Seattle problem I guess.
