Quality takes time. That’s why gravy is slow-simmered on the stove, where ingredients are carefully selected and prepared.
This is how Frank Sinatra preferred it. Chef Carlos De Veyra, chef of Uncle Tony’s and nearby Woods Restaurant, has created a menu of old classics that the Rat Pack would approve of.

the ambience of this restaurant was truly beautiful. The accordion player added to the romantic vibe that the candle lit tables gave off. The server was very friendly and recommended to try the chilli oil which was perfect for the pizza. The spaghetti was delicious but the pasta to meatball ratio was off; not enough actual spaghetti. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be returning.
Disappointed the online menu wasn’t the menu offered. We went specifically for the Osso Buco but it wasn’t on the menu any more The veal scallopini was a poor alternative. Also had to share a booth with other couple even though we had reservations
Awesome experience as always! Best service and amazing food!!
As always, great food, excellent service from our server, Lindsay, and great value. One of our favourite local eateries.
Excellent food from a simple good value menu. Great service and atmosphere my whole family enjoyed the meal and welcome.
The food - although a lot of it was just average. The service though was impeccable.
Really good service, always had an eye on you. You could tell that they were very invested in their clients. The pesto pizza was to die for. Will definitely be coming back!
Great little Italian restaurant in the Esplanade. The food is great and there’s a real New York Italian restaurant feel to the place. Meatballs are good and the risotto was awesome. Definitely recommend.
Great food. Great service. Glad we found this place. Will definitely be back.
Lovely Italian restaurant. Great food and would highly recommend.
Small, casual dining spot near our hotel. The caprese was just so-so, but we enjoyed the very thin, crispy style crust on the pizza. Our waitress was friendly, but she spilled a good portion of my wife’s cocktail on the table when she set it down and did not clean the table, the glass, or replenish what was lost. Everything was sticky. Overall, a decent meal after a long travel day.
Amazing ambience! It ddn’t feel like we were in Toronto. Definitely recommended on Fridays and Saturdays. They have an Accordion Musician from 7pm till 10 pm. Must go! Ordered Funghi Pizza and Gnocci Bolonese, the food was good.
The pizza was outstanding but the salad was very bland.. I would have liked a good casear salad to go with the pizza.
Great value. The pizza crust was light and thin, but still soft and chewy. Seafood spaghetti was a great value for money too with lots of fresh seafood. Will try the tiramisu next time.
Nice red and white table cloth Italian restaurant . Ate at 7 pm and they were out of Calamari was a bummer . Pizza was thin and crusty and past was home made and good.
The veal scallopini was tough and lacked flavor.
Carte peu fournie mais excellente. Une seule personne pour assurer le service !
Authentic and charming Italian with excellent service. The Spaghetti and meatballs are just like Nona’s! Red checkered tablecloths and Chianti bottles with candles add to the charm. The restaurant is very small and quaint.
Each one of the 4 of us ordered a pizza, which we all enjoyed. Mine was the delicious funghi pizza. The crust was thin and 12" in size. When the bill came, I was surprised to see an overpriced cost at $22. The iced tea was very tasty, but arrived in a small glass, also overpriced.
We loved the live music, and the excellent service, but the prices tend to be high.
I highly recommend the spaghetti with seafood. There was a generous portion of squid, mussels, clams and shrimp. The sauce was delicious.
A casual and relaxed ambience, friendly and efficient service and delicious food. My first time here, will definitely return!!
Great spot downtown with awesome food and fantastic service.
Wonderful food my grandsons had pizza I had the agnolotti which was fantastic also great wine. Excellent service very attentive.
We reserved a booth and requested a special dessert for our daughter’s birthday. Following our fabulous appetizers and main course, came an accordion version of “Happy Birthday” played by the in-house musician at our table (very sweet) and a delicious Tiramisu with the best candle/sparkler I’ve ever seen!
Thank you to our waiter for the extra effort.
We’ll be back!

All was good except it was too cold in the restaurant
Food was good ... service wasn’t great
Great food, service and ambiance. Loved the pizza, perfect crust, fresh ingredients and amazing service. 👍👍
been several times, never disappointed, have recommended to others
Great food and atmosphere. I love their thin ceust pizza.
Everything was good, like the decor, the food and the wine were good. Service was a little slow, sometimes it felt they were forgetting about us - for example, we were done with out food but the plates stayed at the table for at least 20 minutes before someone came to pick them up. I ahem to say there only was one server on a Monday night and the restaurant was packed. So totally understandable but it was getting too late for us so we decided to ask for the bill and skip dessert. I would like to come back another night when less busy as I am sure it will be good.
Above and beyond service.
Our reservation was delayed so staff brought us next door to wait with complimentary drink. Had a special table for us and treated us like gold.
Our first visit here and we were both highly impressed. The food had some unique choices as well as some authentic ones. The service was excellent. Even when it became super busy the staff remained attentive and friendly! For a unique and fun atmosphere the price for two was good. (Two appetizers, two mains, two drinks and two desserts and coffees $80. without tip) No matter how full have the cannolies! We will be back!
The decor was very nice and the service was good, however the food was disappointing. The pizza crust was so thin that it actually felt more like a cracker. The risotto of the day was quite blan and of portuguese influence, not italian. Nonna would not approve!
Great Italian food. We all had different dishes, pasta, pizza, appetizers, salad... and loved them all!!
Excellent food and service. Definitely I recommend this restaurant 100%.
The waitress was very absent minded. She removed/attempted to remove plates while we were still eating. She didn’t offer dessert or coffee when we were done our meals and just brought the bill but then took a half hour to bring the card machine for payment.
Sadly disappointed... we have been to Uncle Tony’s several times over the past year and we were surprised at the decline in the quality of the food. The casual ambiance is always great the waitress are super conscientious... but ultimately you come for the food. When an Italian restaurant does not offer complimentary bread, and tomato sauce only comes on request, ... you know something has gone wrong or the cook really does not understand the cuisine. Flavorless, low quality cuts of chicken should not cost that much.
This was our first visit to this Venue and we were very impressed.
After the warm greeting at the front door; we were promptly seated at our table.
The décor is awesome and is a throwback to the seventies; from the red and white chequered tablecloths, with tapered candles stuck into old chianti bottles, to the romantic booths.
Great food (Authentic Italian - fresh ingredients ) combined with great service, makes this place a winner.
The wine list is limited but certainly adequate for pairings with the food.
A great dining experience........We will be back.
This was the second time I’ve been to Uncle Tony’s and it was again great. Pasta cooked to perfection, good size portions and good service. Love the casual feel but with good, home cooked quality food. Definitely worth a visit.
