Quality takes time. That’s why gravy is slow-simmered on the stove, where ingredients are carefully selected and prepared.
This is how Frank Sinatra preferred it. Chef Carlos De Veyra, chef of Uncle Tony’s and nearby Woods Restaurant, has created a menu of old classics that the Rat Pack would approve of.

Each one of the 4 of us ordered a pizza, which we all enjoyed. Mine was the delicious funghi pizza. The crust was thin and 12" in size. When the bill came, I was surprised to see an overpriced cost at $22. The iced tea was very tasty, but arrived in a small glass, also overpriced.
We loved the live music, and the excellent service, but the prices tend to be high.
I highly recommend the spaghetti with seafood. There was a generous portion of squid, mussels, clams and shrimp. The sauce was delicious.
A casual and relaxed ambience, friendly and efficient service and delicious food. My first time here, will definitely return!!
Great spot downtown with awesome food and fantastic service.
Wonderful food my grandsons had pizza I had the agnolotti which was fantastic also great wine. Excellent service very attentive.
We reserved a booth and requested a special dessert for our daughter’s birthday. Following our fabulous appetizers and main course, came an accordion version of “Happy Birthday” played by the in-house musician at our table (very sweet) and a delicious Tiramisu with the best candle/sparkler I’ve ever seen!
Thank you to our waiter for the extra effort.
We’ll be back!

All was good except it was too cold in the restaurant
Food was good ... service wasn’t great
Great food, service and ambiance. Loved the pizza, perfect crust, fresh ingredients and amazing service. 👍👍
been several times, never disappointed, have recommended to others
Great food and atmosphere. I love their thin ceust pizza.
Everything was good, like the decor, the food and the wine were good. Service was a little slow, sometimes it felt they were forgetting about us - for example, we were done with out food but the plates stayed at the table for at least 20 minutes before someone came to pick them up. I ahem to say there only was one server on a Monday night and the restaurant was packed. So totally understandable but it was getting too late for us so we decided to ask for the bill and skip dessert. I would like to come back another night when less busy as I am sure it will be good.
Above and beyond service.
Our reservation was delayed so staff brought us next door to wait with complimentary drink. Had a special table for us and treated us like gold.
Our first visit here and we were both highly impressed. The food had some unique choices as well as some authentic ones. The service was excellent. Even when it became super busy the staff remained attentive and friendly! For a unique and fun atmosphere the price for two was good. (Two appetizers, two mains, two drinks and two desserts and coffees $80. without tip) No matter how full have the cannolies! We will be back!
The decor was very nice and the service was good, however the food was disappointing. The pizza crust was so thin that it actually felt more like a cracker. The risotto of the day was quite blan and of portuguese influence, not italian. Nonna would not approve!
Great Italian food. We all had different dishes, pasta, pizza, appetizers, salad... and loved them all!!
Excellent food and service. Definitely I recommend this restaurant 100%.
The waitress was very absent minded. She removed/attempted to remove plates while we were still eating. She didn’t offer dessert or coffee when we were done our meals and just brought the bill but then took a half hour to bring the card machine for payment.
Sadly disappointed... we have been to Uncle Tony’s several times over the past year and we were surprised at the decline in the quality of the food. The casual ambiance is always great the waitress are super conscientious... but ultimately you come for the food. When an Italian restaurant does not offer complimentary bread, and tomato sauce only comes on request, ... you know something has gone wrong or the cook really does not understand the cuisine. Flavorless, low quality cuts of chicken should not cost that much.
This was our first visit to this Venue and we were very impressed.
After the warm greeting at the front door; we were promptly seated at our table.
The décor is awesome and is a throwback to the seventies; from the red and white chequered tablecloths, with tapered candles stuck into old chianti bottles, to the romantic booths.
Great food (Authentic Italian - fresh ingredients ) combined with great service, makes this place a winner.
The wine list is limited but certainly adequate for pairings with the food.
A great dining experience........We will be back.
This was the second time I’ve been to Uncle Tony’s and it was again great. Pasta cooked to perfection, good size portions and good service. Love the casual feel but with good, home cooked quality food. Definitely worth a visit.
One of my favorite restaurants in the city. Always good food and friendly service.
Very good atmosphere and food. A bit loud, sort of hard to hear conversation, but nice. Food was amazing. Waiter was very nice.
Had amazing pasta and pizza in a double date!
Amazing experience with live music
Loved the live accordion music that was playing here. The music, decor and candles gave the restaurant a great ambiance. The restaurant was very loud and quite busy when I went on Saturday night. The waiters were nice, but were very busy so it was a bit hard to get their attention at times so we had to wait longer than usual to get our bills and coats back after we paid. I appreciated that they took our coats and stored them in a safe place right when we walked in though!
Food was delicious, my sister and I loved the gnocchi.
Pizza was thin crust just as I like.
Great tomato sauce!
I was left in charge of making dinner reservations and I didn't take the time to read any reviews - it was simply an Italian restaurant near the ACC. I am so happy that we 'happened' upon Uncle Tony's because it was great! Our waitress was super nice, food was delicious and they have REAL candles burning...oh and they accommodated: "no bruschetta on the menu? No problem, we'll make some" . And it was deliziosa!
The food was not good, the beer was flat. Overall way overpriced. We got sucked in by previous reviews and proximity to the Sony Centre but please do not waste your time and money!
We had an early dinner. Not busy at all.. Other diners arrived after 6 pm. Nice classic Italian music and style. Good food at fair price.
Food was awesome, fresh and well prepared. Wait staff were super helpful and friendly. We went in for an item recently taken off the menu and they were able to prepare for us. Very authentic and fun. The only area where the restaurant was lacking was dessert. I would have liked authentic gelato to finish the meal but otherwise, great evening.
Dropped in before theatre - and was pleasantly surprised - pizzas were excellent and a pasta also very tasty. Reasonably priced for location. Will return!
They made my daughters 7th birthday extra special!
Great service, tasty food, cozy and vibrant place with inviting atmosphere. Our server, Zach, was friendly, helpful and very patient (unfortunately not everyone in our party was what you call a great guest!). Thanks and my apologies Zach!
Great comfort food, easy atmosphere, good prices and excellent service.
I just moved to TO from Vancouver and because I had no food in my new condo we went for dinner. I hosted my brother and sister and their respective spouses. The whole experience was wonderful. Sheila (I think that was her name) could not have been more accommodating! She was warm and welcoming and it is a place I will go back to with friends or family and even by myself!
Thank you so much
Always a pleasure to dine at Uncle Tony’s! The food, ambience and friendly staff which is eager to please makes it an easy choice when consistency and great value are among your top list of requirements.
We live in the area, we have been to this great little place many times. We really enjoy it here. Good food, good music, good atmosphere.
Great atmosphere and amazing Italian food! Feels like home! Love coming back :)
