   My first time at Uncommon Ground was wonderful! Enjoyed the margarita and pork carnitas tacos and my friend enjoyed the gnocchi. We sat at the restaurant chatting for over two hours. Our waitress was gracious.

   Made a reservation for dinner and they were not serving entrees, but then were out of half of what they were serving. We ordered a beer and an appetizer. Beer was ok, but the greens served with the calamari had gone bad and were wilted and slimy. Went to the bathroom and it was absolutely disgusting, so much so that at that point we didn't order food and inconveniently went to another restaurant during dinner hour, which actually was phenomenal so it all worked out, but I would highly avoid this place. The app alone took an hour to get to us. I can't imagine how long a full table would wait to eat for entrees, well sandwiches or salads because you know, no entrees.

   Years ago, this used to be our go-to spot for brunch and dinners out in the neighborhood so decided to return for brunch. The French toast, chilaquiles and sweet potato fries that came with the grilled chicken sandwich were the highlights. The banana pancakes were just buttermilk pancakes with bananas and banana butter. They were fine but nothing special. The chicken sandwich begged for toasted bread - the softness of the sourdough just didn't do anything for the sandwich. If offered the "goat cheese fondu" for your fries - skip it. Its not a fondue, but rather a chilled cream cheese blended with goat cheese and herbs. A good family spot, and great for live music and weeknight events.

   East walking distance for us. Just north of Wrigley action. The food here is always quite good! That said, I really should branch out from my usual fish tacos! So good. Michael, our waiter, was great…..knowledgeable and friendly, without being too “in your face”. I am not a beer drinker, but it seems that they have an extensive selection of styles of beer.     Staff was fantastic with very good food. Our table was very happy with the different taco ordered. Mac and cheese had nice flavor, but wish it was a little more on gooey side. Brussels sprouts were so light and airy.

    BF had the roasted salmon with pea, beautiful presentation and said it was delicious. I had the carnitas tacos, those were very good as well. I'd go back for sur!

    We've been coming here for years. The staff and ambiance has always been great (which is why we haven't given up) but the last few years the food has really gone down hill - both at brunch and dinner. Either boring or too salty - except the sweet potato fries which were excellent. We remain hopeful that they can turn the ship around.

    I just love this place. Used to live near it, I visit every time I’m back. The team that was there today went way out of their way to make my celiac needs cared for in the food and drink water has always transformational. Looking forward to my next visit already!

    The Uncommon Ground offers an interesting and creative menu which should please most diners. One could choose between a variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches,and entrees. I’m addition this restaurant is a brew pub with extensive selections of beer and other beverages. My party enjoyed their meals and the very comfortable relaxed ambience.     Uncommon Ground is a wondeful neighbourhood gem, the staff is always friendly and courteous and the food fantastic. I love that the menue changes with the seasons! Hopefully th green tomaties will be back soon. Very sad to see the second branch close don recently but glad to know that Lakeview is here to stay <3

    Will definitely return as the food and service are wonderful. This is neighborhood gem, especially given that other options in the area offer standard bar fare. This is a welcomed option with more interesting, healthier and even several vegetarian options.

    I had the veggie hash, and my partner had another egg dish that was slightly spicy. I guess a couple of things to say, firstly we were there kind of early, and I think some things may not have been quite prepped yet. Secondly, it was initially very quiet, and then they were slammed. We went for brunch And I think it’s quite popular. I only read it as good because quite a few of the vegetables in my hash were not cooked properly and, the coffee was just horrible. I had ice coffee, which was mainly water and my partner has a latte, but it tasted like frothy milk.

    I had terrible service, maybe waited 15 mins before I was even given water in a section that only had 3 other tables occupied. Other the steak and eggs and the steak was practically not fit to eat.

    My daughter and I had great burgers and beer before a show at the nearby Mercury theatre. The meat seasoning was sensational. Our split order of sweet potato fries was the best-soft on the inside and crisp on the outside.

    Had reservations at 11:45 before the Cubs Opening Day game. Arrived on time and was seated right away. We ordered and had food delivered by 12:10. The order was accurate and the food was hot and tasty. Service was quick and we easily made it to Wrigley on time.

    We had the best experience at Uncommon Ground. The staff was so friendly. The food was incredible. Their beers are some of the best I have tried. I am a harsh critic of beers and every beer I tried was good! Our waiter was so helpful and nice. My daughter said it was her favorite restaurant. We will definitely be back. It was cute, clean and my daughter even mentioned they had really nice and clean bathrooms. Lol! We love Uncommon Ground! Oh yeah and she knew all the music they were playing and was bopping around to it.
