I have been here a few times with my husband years ago and loved it. So I recommended we come here with my friends. The food was average at best and the smash burger was not even a smash burger. The server seemed uninterested in serving us. We were her only table. I was very disappointed and lost credibility with my friends to recommend restaurants after our experience.

We've been to different locations of Uncommon Ground several times over the years and always enjoyed it. We like the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere and the food is always good. Last night was no exception, except that the service was subpar. There were four of us and we first ordered drinks. Then we ordered two appetizers to share and our entrees. And all the food arrived at the same time. We asked the waitress why, and she said she thought we wanted it all together. Based on several thousand restaurant meals over the last half century or so, I'd say that's not the norm. Generally, your appetizers arrive first, you get a chance to enjoy them and then the entrees arrive. On occasion, a waitperson will ask when we want various dishes to arrive, which is fine. But to assume it should all arrive at the same time is not, in my opinion. Then we started eating. After a while, I had finished my glass of wine and was ready for another. I looked around for our waitress for several minutes, but she was not around. Eventually, I caught the eye of another waitress and asked her to send our waitress (who I named) over. Several minutes later, she arrived and I ordered a glass of wine. It took several more minutes to arrive. Overall, I ate most of my meal without wine, which diminished the experience for me. As for the food, it was quite good. We liked the salad and goat cheese/asparagus dip we ordered as appetizers (though the dip could have used more toast as an accompaniment.) I and a friend had the bacon-wrapped meatloaf, which was good as usual. My wife like the chicken pot pie a lot. The fourth person ordered the pumpkin ravioli, which she said was just okay. So, four stars for the food, two for the service, which was uncommonly unprofessional (though friendly) for a usually reliable and understandably popular neighborhood restaurant.

We really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant. It was really close to the venue we were going to. My husband had a mixed drink that he absolutely loved and the bottle of red wine my friend and I shared was on point. The food was fantastic and we didn't feel like we were rushed.

The service was excellent and the food was quite good. The noise from patrons in the farthest back room was too loud, and they accommodated us by allowing us to sit in the middle room instead. Very happy about that, and they had the wood burning fireplace going, which was nice. The prices are on the high side, $15 for a slice of carrot cake, wow. Our lunch of one salad with chicken, a chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries, 1 iced tea and tap water, and 1 slice of carrot cake was $91 after tip.

I was astonished at the varied menu vegan and gluten free options. Excellent food!!!!! I really loved the flavor. I was so impressed with the kindness and care from staff and owner. Clean restaurant. I will be back again as a repeat customer. Very happy with the price too

Awesome experience! We were 20 minutes late for our reservation due to traffic and we were accommodated as if we showed up on time. We also mentioned that we weee seeing a show at the metro and we’re running late and our food cage out so fast it was impressive. We’ll be eating there again for our next show at the metro

Pleasant surprise! Most restaurants similar to this place would deliver up small portions. That’s what I was expecting for my $17 plate and went ahead and added a side of toast and sausage to fill up my hunger. Those additions were the best mistake I’ve made. The plate was a HUGE omelet with lots of potatoes. Definitely didn’t expect that portion. So much delicious food! The service was great, the staff were friendly, and it was good vibes. I’d go again!

The food was terrible. The eggs in the Benedict were hard with a drop of the hollandaise sauce. The potatoes in the skillet were almost raw and pancakes tasted like they are made with the box mix.

The place was so hot. Service was slow. Lost revenue as they did not keep our glasses full. Didn’t ask if we wanted drinks. And we we did ask for drinks they forgot to serve them. Would not return.
