   My friend and I both ordered the steak frites. It's a very reliable choice, as the steaks are consistently thick and of very good quality. "Medium-rare" gets nailed every time, which is impressive. Our server was attentive, despite how busy the place was. Reasonably-priced red wines.

   I was very disappointed with our experience today. My daughter and I came for brunch originally we were suppose to be a table of 3 but changed to a table of 2 so we asked for a regular table. The host didn't really sit us down, she walked by and dropped one menu on the table and kept walking. So we just sat down and reached over to another table for a brunch menu. We ordered two French toast , blackened salmon, truffle fries and drinks. The server brought regular fries and did replace them for the correct fries they were cold. The server brought the rest of the food minus one of the French toast. We thought it was still coming it never came , compared to the last visit this food was not at all to the same standards and we thought "must be a new chef". We never got checked on so we couldn't ask about the missing food. When he did come, I asked for the cheque and mentioned the missing French toast he said he thought I only wanted one because he thought we would share. Which was weird because he confirmed my order, because originally I asked to add a side of scrambled eggs and bacon with one of the French toast orders and was told that was not possible today which was fine. Overall, this was not to the same standard of service and food that had brought us back has a repeat customer.

   Just another basic bar with average food. The avocado dip was good, the shrimp tacos were soggy and lacked flavour. The buffalo tacos were okay but not great. Overall below average. And the service was almost fully ignored, except for when the bill came of course.

    Food and service was good / fine. Noise was very very loud. I had to ask for a table away from the speakers (lousy music) and even then we could barely hear each other. This seem so be a recurring comment in the reviews, but the message does not seem to get through. The bad part is that the music does not add anything to the ambiance or the "dining" experience. Lose the pounding music guys! I will go to a club if I want to hear that music, not a business lunch!

    We were happy with this restaurant except for the noise level which made it impossible to converse. Not only was the noise level of people talking very high, the pounding background music bordered on unbearable. Lose the music at least.

    Our server was the saving grace- he was very nice and helpful. My wife and I had our first date here 8 years ago, and it’s not what we remembered at all… Knowing the backstory, the restaurant called us 3 times in 24 hours to get us to move up our reservation so that they could close early (commuting from Mississauga for work, this would’ve been difficult for us to get ready and be there in time). We were cutting it close to their last call for food so I called ahead to place our order just in case. When we arrived, the hostess at the front was rude and made it clear that we were inconveniencing her. I told her we called in to order but she said the girl who answered was new and they don’t do phone orders and that we have 5 minutes to order, without ever once even looking at us to talk. Not even a hello, she just kissed her teeth rolled her eyes and hurried us to our table. Though we had fond memories of our first date there, we probably won’t be back there ever again

    The shrimp taco was a cold wrap with flavourless and over cooked tiny shrimp. The salad lacked flavour and the spinach was bad. The calamari was tough.

    The voicemail should be changed to be a marketing tool. In particular, the concept of Union Social being referred to as a “store” should be eliminated. The burgers are great and the Staff are terrific. Thank you.

    I made a reservation for 4 approx 2 weeks ago,with a specific request of a table near the front windows.I even called the restaurant the evening before of that request….the lady confirmed. When we arrived at the restaurant,they didn’t have my table.We were placed at the BACK of the restaurant in a booth overlooking the brick wall.Not happy re:that,but service& food excellent!

    Union Social Eatery is out "go to sports bar" in our neighbourhood of Yonge & St. Clair. We just walk there in five minutes from our home. I love meeting friends for both lunch and dinner. Really love to sit in one of the booths mid-restaurant. It's just so comfortable, friendly and a terrific spot to have a meal and kick back!

    We had a fabulous waitress. Jessica was great. The food was good and the salads are quite substantial. It just happened to be a quiet day and so it was nice for my friend and I to talk and catch up. We didn't feel rushed at all.

    Despite the loud noise, we had a very enjoyable evening. Food was good, and enjoyed the casual fun atmosphere. Despite the perception of lack of staff, our server (Terrell - sorry if name incorrect) was attentive and friendly.
