   Waited 2 hours for cold food to come. I’ve been going here my whole life and didn’t realize it had gone down hill. Very disappointed. Manager did take care of our bill but we left hungry with a 5 year old because we had booked a carriage ride. Very disappointed and don’t think I’ll be back.

   Food was standard Upstream experience. Never gonna knock your socks off, but everyone in the group was satisfied with their meals. The irritating part was the substitute “magician” who awkwardly held our table hostage for 20 minutes with his mediocre tricks. Our group had guests from six states who hadn’t seen each other since before Covid - we really would have preferred to have been talking to one another. I tried to tell him that a couple of times in polite terms, but he didn’t seem to follow.

   The buffet food:’omelets, roast beef, peach bread pudding were amazing. Everything else was basic. Besides those 3 items, everything else was very cold. Tater tots- basic & cold. The biscuits were hard and gravy was cold. The fish and chicken were rubbery. I love breakfast buffet but i will not be back to upstream for their buffet.

    Got together for a birthday celebration. Waitress was attentive and overall provided good service. Brunch food was just okay- on the smaller portion and a little bland.

    Out waiter was great but that’s where the great stopped. The host looked high and was slow and disorganized and the food was not nearly as good as it used to be. We have been there many times and had high expectation. They were not met. The prime rib was literally raw and I love rare meat. It was also cut with the grain making it like chewing wet jerky. The rest of the food was not great either and it looked like little card was put into it. The fish was dry, the waffles soggy, the sausages were not even slight crisp. It was so disappointing. We were also overcharged and didn’t see it until we left. We used to love this place but like many places, you can tell the employees don’t appreciate their jobs. I wish them well.

    Was our first time visiting. The food, service, & atmosphere was excellent. Will definitely visit again next time in Omaha. Be sure to save room for dessert; they are worth it.

    We made a reservation, however we still had to wait. As I had recently had surgery, it was hard for me to stand and be jostled about. The roast beef was difficult to cut and the omlet veggies hhad a diirty taste to them. Overall, the oother food was good.

    Easter brunch - this is our second time doing the brunch buffet at Upstream. The service was great, the food was very bland. From the eggs, the pastry’s, the fish, the fresh sliced meats, even the made to order omelet was lacking flavor. The chicken cordon bleu was very tasty! The mimosas were also great. We made reservations early (definitely required for Sunday brunch) we were seated in the bar area which is louder than the other areas of the restaurant.

    Easter brunch. Everything was good but not excellent as previously experienced there. First cup of coffee was very weak. We love our coffee & the tiny cups make it hard for both sides (customer & server)

    Our server was great. My husband ordered a medium rare steak and it was cooked medium. The bottoms of the asparagus was woody on both our plates. Flavor of the food was great though! We had fun and will be back.

    Very sweet server but had no clue about anything on the menu, including beer. We asked about their Cask Conditioned Ales and she thought that meant Crowlers and said they were to go vessels. She was also unaware that additional selection may be added to the flight of 4 for an additional $2.50 (per menu), advised if we wanted more we’d need to order another full flight. Had reservations for 2, we were taken upstairs, past empty tables and sat in a corner surrounded by other full tables and right next to (close tables) a family with young children. Not ideal nor well considered by their team. Food is trying too hard…a couple of good components way over thought. Beers in flight were not cold. Love trying new breweries….and although the beers were pretty good, very disappointed overall.

    We love Upstream because of all the different menu choices. My husband is kind of a meat-and-potatoes guy and I like things a bit more inventive, so both of us can find something we really like. Last night I had the Miso Salmon, and wowie-kazowie, it blew me away. The fish was cooked beautifully, the glaze was spectaular, and the sides complimented it perfectly. My husband had a steak and baked potato and it was cooked just the way he likes it. No matter what we're in the mood for in the Old Market, from burgers to salads to a range of entrees, the food is always excellent.

    It had been 5 years or so since being there, the Upstream is one of our favorites, but we were so disappointed to see that it has not kept up with the competitive neighborhood. The food was meh- slightly above cafeteria grade. The beer also- just OK. Interior/ambiance the same for the last decade- dirty paisley carpet and sticky, old booths and seating- the air felt heavy. (Our server, however was lovely and upbeat and a bright spot.) Overall, the experience had us saying “how long until they close?” They were also not busy—on a Friday night… on St. Patrick’s Day. Super bummed for what had been a cool place. :(
