Celebrated the first day of 2023 with a special Prix fix dinner. Our server (Harold) I believe was his name. He was amazing. He was friendly, made recommendations, and was attentive and thoughtful. The appetizers were delicious especially the venison meatballs. The special kanpachi fish was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The homemade honey wheat bread was amazing. If you want a perfectly cooked meal served in a warm and vibrant environment I highly recommend Merrimans.

We had new years dinner at Fish Hopper and had a wonderful time. We started with the calamari. It was cooked perfectly. My husband had the pasta Isabella and enjoyed it (the taste I had was great!). I had a special of a local fish called Monchong - white and very delicate - served over asparagus with a light garlic sauce. Very tasty. We finished the meal with Crème Brûlée. Good thing we were walking!

The entire staff are helpful, pleasant, friendly...waiters, waitresses, those in training, bar hosts, servers...incredible! The appetizer with the hummus is to die for. The lamb chops also. The wine list is good! The waitress helped me with making gluten and dairy free choices. She also made sure my husband got a dessert for his birthday. We come at least 3 times every time we visit Poipu.

Sy was our waiter. 5 stars! The only disappointment was the bar very loud & annoying noise nonstop. As my friends said “Michels was known for elegant fine dining & to constantly hear the martini shaker, waiters talking & such non stop noise” it was sad. We felt sorry for those closest to the bar. We all know space is limited yet bar needs to be out of dining room. More room for tables. I remember piano bar quiet magical. Sunset spectacular! Location spectacular!

Oysters on the half shell were excellent. We’ve had the Chef’s pre fixe menu before but dined al la carte this night. Food was excellent. Arrived just in time to see sunset and torch runners. Staff was very attentive. “Mayk” and Brian were great and all staff very helpful. Our guest now wants to move here. Mahalo KPC! ;) All in all a very nice evening.

Lets Start with the Food: I had the Risotto ai Funghi, what a great amazing meal, the tableside finish in the parmigiana wheel is amazing. Bold flavors all come out, but not killed by the parm finish! Wife had the tagliatelle con prosciutto e Funghi was a highlight. Such flavor, just the right amount of sauce and pasta! We had to try the house made Tiramisu, another highlight, blown away how good this was, as was the Crema Catalana Wow, all i have to say is Wow!! Hats off to Brantley and the Crew

I already gave 100 Sails a glowing review here the first time we went, but this 2nd time was so special I feel obliged to make another. We were mistakenly told we could be served the regular, non-buffet menu when making our reservation (which we had the first time and generally prefer) for a Thursday. Issue being, their buffet nights are actually Thur-Sun (we were under the impression that non-buffet was Mon-Thur, a simple over-the-phone mixup). But the manager on-duty went above and beyond for us (despite our insistence that it was a simple misunderstanding and we'd happily come back another night!), moving us to "his favorite table" outside of the buffet area and taking the time to ensure we got the experience we were hoping for, the same fantastic experience we got the first time we came, and importantly, the experience I was hoping to share with the people I brought to dinner this 2nd time. It truly feels like 100 Sails views its customers as people they care deeply about. To the manager: I know I already said this when we spoke after our meal last night, but you've truly made lifelong fans of us. I'll be coming back to 100 Sails for the rest of my life. Delicious, gorgeously presented food (especially for the price), kind, attentive staff, and a beautiful location over-looking a fantastic view of the harbor, especially from my newly favorite table 💙

For two devoted foodies, one a chef who has authored a number of cookbooks, this was one of the most exceptional dining experiences ever - and for our anniversary. Every detail, from the seating to the food, wine, and incredibly welcoming and expert service and fantastic dishes, was perfectly arranged and managed by Justine, the host and server, and Kevin, her husband and the lead chef, who are also the owners. We would and will go back many times. On a scale of 1 to 5 stars, Justine, Kevin and Pai rate at least a 7. Truly off the charts.
