Outside the private vault, guests are seated in the restaurant’s lounge or dining room, surrounded by an eclectic décor, including bicycle frames, ornate mirrors and a tiki lounge! The funky style combined with live jazz or blues music and you’ve got yourself a hip and quirky restaurant, with a cool, laissez-faire vibe. The Vault’s diverse menu features Northwest cuisine, offering dishes that are simple, yet rich in flavour.
Our server was extremely helpful and did and fabulous job.
The food was delicious .
The food was excellent and so was the service. Just a little crowded and noisy... bar like atmosphere which is ok if you're not planning to converse much... The music was good!
Enjoyed the evening very much :)
We have been many times and have never been disappointed. Exceptional!
The food was fairly good and in good portion sizes. The crab cakes were not bad. The short rib was tender and delicious.
We visit the Vault several times a year for special occasions, birthdays and anniversary’s service is always outstanding food is amazing and the ambiance is great you can even have private dinners in a large booth inside an actual bank vault . The food selection is great with something for everyone the wine and liquor selection is also excellent. The desert menu is filled with things to share as is their appetizer selection. Would I recommend the Vault Absolutely ! For Celebrating anything from birthdays to Friday’s and weekends. You won’t be disappointed .
Awesome server. Great food!!! Yes of course I will return!!! Love this place!!!
Great food and location. Service was a little slow for how busy they were. I had mentioned to the host that it was my dads 86th birthday thinking maybe they would put a candle or something in his dessert and it wasn’t even mentioned. I wasnt looking for anything free just want it to be acknowledged.
Great spot! Food was amazing, I had the short rib and it was succulent, tender and delicious! The red wine reduction was perfect and the accompanying mashed potatoes and veggies were fitting sides to a comforting meaty dish. I had a Moscow Mule to start and i felt it could have been more gingery. (Maybe a stronger ginger beer?) We finished with the dinner with the peanut butter pie which was creamy, peanut buttery and a great size. Could have been a rad bit sweeter and the crust a bit thicker.
Overall i was VERY happy with the dinner itself but felt the server could have been more attentive. (My only reason for a 4 star rating
Very enjoyable, will go back.
We love coming to The Vault. The food is always great as is the ambiance and service.
Food is always great. Nice atmosphere.
We made our reservation based on a "dine out" menu I was emailed. When we arrived at the restaurant the menu was different. We were not allowed to order the menu we were sent via email although the items were available on the a la cart menu. The waitress rolled her eyes at our request and was not apologetic or accommodating. Although the food was delicious, our dining experience was not pleasant and I would not recommend going or return there again.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were totally ignored. A young woman was manic rushing back & forth from the enterance to the rest of the restaurant. No eye contact, no verbal acknowledgement, no smile. We felt invisible. EVENTUALLY, she told us someone would be with us shortly. At that point I had my doubts how the service was going to be, given our initial introduction to the restaurant. I would suggest she be given a patron services training course.
Our server was totally the opposite, she was really on top of things. Friendly, helpful, & there when needed. She was terrific & great fun. She told us some of the history of the restaurant. We enjoyed her.
was honestly disappointed int he prawn n scallop skewer thought it was a little much for only 4 pieces
Slooooow service despite being one of two tables in the restaurant. Close to 10 minutes just to take our orders though we clearly had menus closed at sitting on end of table.
Email promotions misleading. Had received email about Dine Out. No mention whatsoever that you cant use a GC towards it (unlike on other promotions it's clearly stated at bottom) Get to restaurant and it's on the paper menu. No biggie but Gift cards very frustrating to use there. Were given one for Christmas but because the gifter bought it at Costco (which how are we supposed to know) it couldn't be used.
Ridiculously over priced wine menu
Great food though with good potion size despite previously mentioned issues.
Great food and atmosphere. Service was awesome, except for a very minor mistake. It was quite busy for a Sunday evening, so it was actually pretty loud in there, but easy to overlook with the quality of food and service. Been to The Vault twice now, had a great experience both times. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay outside of Vancouver for a great meal.
We went to the restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Dine Out Vancouver was on and we chose two options from that menu. For the price of $30 I chose the caesar salad with curry khalua shrimp over rice with vegetables and creme brûlée for dessert. The person who accompanied me chose also the caesar salad but had the spare ribs over mashed potatoes with a side of vegetables also followed by the creme brûlée. Both of us really enjoyed our meals from start to finish. The spare ribs turned out to be just the meat off the bone cooked to perfection in a hoisin sauce. The salads were a good sized portion. The dessert was perfectly executed. I would recommend this restaurant for a fine dining eclectic experience. The restaurant was filled with interesting artifacts like an old motorcycle and a oversized vintage picture of a boxer and much more.
Will definitely come back. I always order my favourite dish, curry penne shrimp.
Too noisy had a party next to us that was 4 people and we could not hear ourselves speak. Dinner and our time there was ruined. We asked to be moved but the place was full.
I had asked for reservation for Tiki room area as it is quieter. Hostess did not appear to know this.
Slow service after I was seated for someone to come and take my drink order.
I had to ask to order a drink and wait while they figured out who was my server.
Otherwise once they sorted that out service was good. Food is excellant but expensive as it is with any nice restaurant.
We love the Vault. The food is always goodfor both lunch and dinner. Always a pleasant experience. Can’t give a best dish as they are all good.
The Vault was the perfect place to have lunch with a friend and to catch up without noise. We'll return
It never fails to be enjoyable. I took two friends that have never been there before and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Could you please get the seafood hotpot on the menu like the WAG? Thank You!
Our waitress was terrible. We waited a long time before she took our order. She got my friends order completely wrong. So while the two of us had our meals she had to wait for hers. My company requested a refill on get drink, she completely forgot about it. My friends pasta had way too much salt in it. We were there for a birthday celebration and to our disappointment the birthday girl meal was horrible. Our waitress completely ignored us.
Excellent place to go for dinner. Decor is very nice. Meal was hot and very good. Service was excellent!
Wine by the glass is expensive. Huge price mark up .
Not a good value when compared to the Cactus Club
The dine out menu wad limited but still good value.
Good service and food average. Prices on the high side.
Probably won't return
Went for my husband's bday that they did not honor his coupon due to to many restrictions. And i had dine out menu that i wasn't even allowed to have my fav dessert. I even showed the email that showed peanut butter pie was there and they said no it's all wrong.. maybe they should have l resend an email showing what is allowed?
The server was sweet, but to many excuses not to honor my husbands bday coupon, and sending false advertisements on dine out. No more Vault
Great place to eat! First time there and everyone who went with us loved their meal. Cozy restaurant.
The ambiance is perfect for a date but the lack of lighting makes reading the menus a challenge
Ambiance was excellent. Amazing live music. Food was very tasty .. Our server was not ideal as she had a negative attitude and the lady bussing food was even worse ... but the rest of the experience was great .
The sauce on my vegan food was WAY too sweet. The bruschetta was fair.
My husbands chicken was dry.
My sons rack of lamb over cooked.
My son’s girlfriend enjoyed her chicken linguine.
The atmosphere was nice and the singer was a pleasant surprise and not too loud.
The decor is original and fun.
Sever was great!
Restaurant, food, service etc. were great. Only minor problem was they did not show my reservation on their computer. However, there was a cancellation so things worked out
Delicious. Will come back. Did find it very noisy so would go elsewhere if you’re looking for quiet dining.
Food is consistently tasty - especially the short rib. Can never miss having the chocolate peanut butter pie... wish they would bring back the sweet chilli chicken (appetizer) my husband and I always had our own order because we didn’t want to share.
Also bring back the chicken mushroom Farfelle and Cajun snapped please 😉
We got a lovely booth, quiet, intimate and had appies and drinks. It was lovely.
Great food and fun atmosphere! Our eight year old son loved that it used be a bank.
You don’t have your hot pot on the menu anymore it’s what I cane for all the time will have to go find it else where.
The menu is limited if you go often, but the food is good. The music is very nice very time we go. Not too loud, just background.
Great as usual. Food fantastic. Table service- not that great this time.
Everything was great, thanks!
