Delicious! My girlfriend and I came here on Saturday for a date night and had a blast. The food was fantastic, the service was great and it was the perfect night out. 10/10.

We enjoy fine dining and really were looking forward to visit this restaurant. The menu and reviews were promising an outstanding dining experience.

We showed up exactly at 5:30pm and placed the order for an appetizer and two entrees in about 10 min. And after that we were literally forgotten. Waiters were rushing back and forwards delivering the pick-ups to the door.

The 2 medium size crab cakes were delivered to us in about 30 min. The presentation were fine though the cakes were pale and defiantly overmixed. There were no such a desirable flakiness in the texture. It was not original, it was almost boring.

Do you know how long we set in front of empty crab cake dish after? 45 min. My husband mentioned, - we should have probably ordered some wine, they would possibly pay more attention to us. But it was the food delivery service that kept the attention of the staff away from the people who actually set in the restaurant. They were just running back and forward with a speed and persistence of the pendulum clock.

45 min of waiting to present us with 2 entrees in a size of food-tasters? We are not big eaters but by 7:00pm we were starving. The BUCCATINI CACIO E PEPE were so overpowering heavy on herbs, especially rosemarine (and I love rosemarine!), you would not be able to distinguish ingredients by the taste, only by the texture. My husband (a huge Italian food fan) could not even eat it. AGNOLOTTI OF PIEMONTE ‘BOLOGNESE’ was outstanding, but literally not enough to feed both of us.

We asked for the bill way to fast after the food was delivered and suddenly got a lot of attention. Was it a tone of my voice or the sudden break in food pick-up services. Who knows? We left hungry and angry.

So if you are not ordering wine and overpriced Signature Seafood Platters (we watched a couple of them delivered to people who placed their orders long after us) - don't go. And if you are, hide a sandwich in your purse.

Always amazing food service and wine at Vero! We love the atmosphere there. Perfect for date night.

Overall it was a good experience. The food was fast to come out (all three appetizers at once) with the mains shortly after, so the experience felt a little rushed.

The appetizers were ok, but the mains (both pasta dishes) were fabulous. I guess my expectations were a little higher given the 5 star reviews and price point!

Great service! The experience option wasn't very good as the food was coming out too fast. Could not enjoy the food as such. Will try again with the ala carte option.

Chef's tasting menu is absolutely fantastic. So inventive, so delicious. It's an incredible experience. (The wine pairing is very well done too.)

The staff at Vero Bistro did an amazing job to make my birthday celebration special. The food was amazing and the 50% seating capacity was nice. The only thing I would change would be the changeover of the seatings to be a little smoother - the entrance got a little packed. But overall a 10/10 experience.

We were a group of friends that had been in touch for awhile! We had a very private table, quiet, great service! Food was fantastic as was the wine! Vero is consistently delicious, warm and friendly , our favourite in Calgary. The Best!

Gourmet food at affordable prices

I had heard great things about Vero and I was not disappointed. The food and the service were excellent.

I went on a Wednesday for the steak frite special but was told that it was no longer offered despite still being shown online (Open Table).

We were also told that the wine discounts shown on Vero's website were only available for take outs.

I highly suggest to Vero to update the information on
their website and Open Table to avoid disappointments to customers.

Came here for my birthday celebration with my husband and two kids. We ordered two sets of 4-course chef menu which we pre-ordered when I made the reservation and two extra second and two antipasti. Overall, the food is fresh and delicious. My daughter has ordered the Pork Milanese. To our surprise, the pork is juicy and tender. The price is reasonable because the food portion is big. The service is exceptional good. It is a very small place but due to the Covid restriction, it can only accommodate 1/2 capacity and we feel relaxed to dine in there.

Really appreciate chef Jenny preparing the four course dinner even though it wasn’t advertised on the menu that night. Really made my girlfriends birthday a nice experience.

Went later in the evening for date night. The food and service were outstanding, although a little bit pricey. There’s several interesting specials that are definitely worth trying. Will be coming back for sure.

The service was great! The sangria was the best sangria we've had in North America that was the closest in comparison to Spain. The food was great. Definitely recommend checking this place out.
