Always a fantastic experience! I love this place!
Food and atmosphere are great! Been there a few times. A bit pricey for just pasta dishes.
One of best, if not the best tasting Italian cuisine in the West Loop!
A wonderful place to enjoy an authentic Italian menu with a few adventurous options. Hosts make you feel welcome and appreciated.
Always an incredible time at Viaggio’s! We are locals & love going here.
Dining here felt like you were eating with friends in the neighborhood. Jen was our server and took great care of us. She was our new best friend by the end of the evening. The food was excellent (chicken piccante, best ever). We will make a special trip back here anytime we’re back in town.
Great service, ambience and crowd. Would be back again!
Solid Italian, better than most. Great staff, go with the bartender's wine recommendation and seriously consider the special dinner entrees.
Love Viaggio. It is my neighborhood restaurant. Family owned with family recipes it is like eating in someone's home but bigger. Great wine list and bar.
Excellent service and food.
Love the food - great tasting, nice portions. Our server Nick was the best - so nice, professional, knowledgeable!
Loved this restaurant, the atmosphere and staff. Food was fantastic. Roasted peppers and bread were excellent. As was the meatball salad. We were so full we couldn't eat anymore. We can't wait to go back and have some pasta and veal. Dishes looked amazing.
This is our favorite neighborhood restaurant. The food is always great and the service impeccable. Dinner was excellent but the banana cheese cake was something special.
Food was pretty bad... service was great but still
I've been to this place a dozen times and I keep finding new things to fall in love with on the menu. The stat and the owner ALWAYS make me fell welcome and the valet parking is really convenient in that neighborhood. Some of my favorite go-to's are the Sunday Gravy, the house made cavatelli, meatballs and make sure to order the egg plant stack (YUM). Finish off the meal with the house made Limoncello and tiramisu.
Always excellent food and service!
Service exceeded expectations, food was delicious, friendly, neighborhood feel! We will be back!
Another wonderful meal at Viaggio. From the hearty greeting by Dave as we arrived to the attentive service from Kristen and the rest of the staff, the evening was wonderful. How can you not start without the meatball salad? The special of the day, Chilean Sea Bass, was cooked to perfection and the banana cheesecake was delicious. Others at the table had a variety of pasta dishes including ravioli and penne bolognese followed up with tiramisu, spumoni bomba and canoli. Everyone was very happy. Wear your stretchy pants, you're going to need them!
Always good food and great place to go for an evening out.
Delicious, fresh Italian food with great service! Everything we ordered was on the specials menu and excellent...the fish was cooked to absolute perfection. Thank you!
Food was good, but we were rushed through the dinner and the waiter charged us a $3.00 per entrée split charge for two entrees to be split by two people.
Construction was underway inside but the owner graciously offered us a beautiful seat outside on a great day. Good food and attentive service
Kristen, our server was fantastic. Food is great, Chicago style Italian. Lots of flavor, great potion sizes and tons of traditional Italian flavor. Chicken, sea bass and 8-finger cavatelli all got rave reviews at our table. Then lemocello shots! Really fun and one of the owners, Dave is there onsite making sure things go well. They went very well!
Loved the restaurant, however, the valet parking was dishonest. I used the valet who verified the $12 rate good through the end of the concert I was attending that evening. When I later picked up my car at 11:15 pm I was charged $20 and was told that the rate goes up after 11:00. I did not see anything posted letting me know of this rate change. To top it off, the shuttle bus that runs to the United Center was not running that evening. Physically, not a problem for me but it was in the high 90's that evening and I was hoping for some cooler air.
Great food and very friendly service. The meatball salad is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had.
Excellent experience at Viaggio. The service was timely and very friendly. The food was flavorful and well prepared. The menu was traditional Italian food and it was all done in a way that was authentic to the traditional dishes, but with a little bit of upscale dining added. Our group had the spaghetti carbonara, shrimp risotto, and vegetable pasta special of the day and all were really terrific as were the meatballs and calamari that we had for appetizers. Would definitely recommend Viaggio.
great spot for business lunch. and a great Italian choice for dinner any time
Excellent food at reasonable price. Very good service time and attentive. Indoor-outdoor seating. Local to United Center and area entertainment.
Enjoyed everything . Was there to celebrate and was amazed with the service and ambiance.
Wonderful service and excellent food
A great neighborhood spot to enjoy authentic Italian cuisines in an environment of warmth, friendly hospitality. The owner is present, but careful to stand back and allow his team of professionals to cater to the needs of his guests. We’ll run business. Great food. Incredible fresh menu. The grilled calamari is the best we’d ever had. Fish of day (Chilean Sea Bass on our visit) was outstanding. Other great entrees at our table of satisfied aficionados included Pork Sausage & Gravy, Egg Noodles with Shrimp. We will definitely be back. Five stars here!
Delicious - especially their meatballs. I had the sea bass entree, again, delicious but wasn’t told the price so was surprised when I
Received the bill. Highly recommend!
Kids visiting from out of town. Wanted celebratory fun atmosphere with fantastic food and impeccable service. We were satisfied on all fronts. One of our favorites in the shadow of the Madhouse.
It was just very hot in the restaurant- due to the age of the building but otherwise the food and service was great
Everything about our experience was outstanding! Food was great, service was outstanding. We arrived an hour early and they were able to accommodate us easily. Delicious fresh fish special was perfect and the meatballs are best ever.
We thought the overall experience was outstanding, service and food were great, highly recommend.
Love Viaggio!! I have never had a bad meal there. Everything is fresh and delicious. Service is warm and friendly. It truly is my favorite Italian restaurant in the city!!
Second time here and I'll be back again. The food is seriously REAL Italian food and a great wine list to boot. Unpretentious and amazing.
