Our waitress was very nice and the meal was fantastic for a great price.
Blown away by the food!!! Everything was excellent! We will be back!
Great spot and interesting menu. We arrived way to early for our reservation and before the restaurant was even open and they had fun with us about our early arrival. No big deal because the neighborhood had nearby fun spot to hang out with our older teen kids while we waited. We were immediately seated and had a wonderful waiter who made an excellent wine recommendation. Interesting items on the regular menu and on the specials. Chicken and veal dishes were superb as was the short rib ravioli. Fried calamari was unbelievably light and good, better than the grilled calamari here. Tasty desserts including key lime pie and cannoli. Warm ambiance and typical for a traditional Italian place. Lively and fun.
Excellent stop for dinner on the way to any UC event!
Been here a few times. Food and service always consistently top notch.
Great food. Great ambiance. Meatball salad is to die for.
I had a 6pm reservation and when I arrived our party of 4 was taken way to the back of the restaurant...dimly lit and away from the main seating area. The entire restaurant was 90% empty and I asked to be seated up front or somewhere in the main area. I was told that all those seats were already reserved. Upon leaving at 7:45pm there were still many empty tables. Because I was with my 85 y/o mother and 90 y/o father I believe they just wanted to stick the old folks in the back so as not to ruin their chic urban vibe. I was very disappointed and will not return.
The best Italian food I’ve ever had!!!
Nice ambiance. Service was good. Menu has lots of great options for appetizers and entrees. We shared the eggplant stack (with tomatoes and mozzarella) - it was so big for the two of us that we skipped our salad. We shared a veal entree and it was more than enough for the two of us. We paid a small fee to share the plate, but they didn't give us a hard time at all.
Our experience was excellent The Sslmon was fresh and tasty
The cavstelli was outstanding and our waitress was wonderful
The owner stopped by our table and we felt very comfortable
Great food, service and staff! We'll definitely be back :)
We had an early reservation before heading to a show so the restaurant was empty when we arrived. But, within about a 1/2 hour or so it started to fill up and become more lively. The food was excellent and the service was great!
This was our first time dining at Viaggio Ristorante and I'm sure it will not be our last. It was recommended to us by friends who dine there often. The wait staff was amazing explaining everything about the menu and specials.
We dined here before a concert at the United Center. The food was fabulous! They even had some great gluten free options for my friend. The waiter was knowledgeable regarding the menu and had some great recommendations. I did notice that it was a little loud because the space is quite open, but we were still able to enjoy conversation at our table.
We all gave it two enthusiastic thumbs up!
The food is absolutely amazing!!!!! This is a great place to go if you are going to the United Center for an event!
Went on a Sunday evening. Food and service was fantastic. Loved the Rigatoni Vodka. Would highly recommend.
Great Italian food, great service, all around great, casual Italian restaurant
Great food great service.
I recently moved out of the neighborhood, but that won't stop me from returning to my all time favorite Italian restaurant in the city. I have never had a bad meal here, am always treated like family and LOVE that they cater to the neighborhood.
Once again we had an outstanding experience. We were celebrating a birthday and Kristin and the rest of the staff made this a memorable evening. The food was absolutely outstanding! We highly recommend to everyone!
Viaggio will always be one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Chicago!!
First time at Viaggio, we all had very tasty food choices and no one left hungry. The atmosphere is busy, noise level is quite loud so I wouldn’t recommend to go with children or if you wanted a romantic night out. It was recommended for us to try and we were all glad we did.
Absolutely loved our dinner date night at Viaggio! The food was outstanding as usual and our waitress and wait staff were friendly without being intrusive on our special night. We will definitely be back again. And oh yes, the meatballs are to die for!
Enjoyed the food very much. Will be back for another meal.
Solid food, good service, good energy in the room. Nice to see they are opening in Highland Park. I will definitely check it out.
The best Italian restaurant in Chicago
We had a great meal at Viaggios on our girls weekend trip to the city. The service was outstanding and the food was so unbelievably good. And the coffee with our dessert was the best coffee we had all weekend. When we get back into the city we'll definitely go back! :D
Great food, great service!!!
Very over priced for what you get. They wanted $14 for a smallish slice of key lime pie. If it was the best key lime pie in the whole world, maybe I would understand but I was not willing to find that out.
Great dinner, wonderful environment
Great food and fun atmosphere prior to a concert at United Center. Very accommodating to our time frame. The Meatball salad was honestly amazing! We are talking about return trips to Chicago just to get a meatball. But it was all really good.
Excellent food and service as usual.
Full house. Booked for 5 but at the last minute had 2 more guests. We were accommodated wand were pleased to all sit together.
Server was great.
Very nice time served very fast tables were a little too close together but overall a really nice restaurant
Viaggio came highly recommended by a friend who lives near us in a Northern suburb of Pittsburgh PA. She said the meatballs are the closest to her Mom’s homemade ones! The fried peppers served with bread were a fantastic start, followed by the meatball salad (never heard of that before, but it was great!). I had penne bolognese and my wife had chicken Marsala. My daughter had ziti with vodka sauce. The two pasta dishes were great while the chicken dish was good.
Fabulous as alwayd
Lovely neighborhood joint. Great service, food and atmosphere.
It was our first time at the restaurant. we live in Milwaukee. We went for dinner before the bulls/bucks game. Everything was so delicious! The homemade pasta was some of the best that I have ever had. The tiramisu was wonderful too! We will definitely return to Viaggio again!
We love this place! Always great food and service.
First time at Viaggio and loved everything from the ambiance to the food. Haout out to a wonderful waiter at lunchtime. Veal Marsala was excellent!!!
