   This review is in no way a reflection of the dining experience at Villa de Flora. As per previous reviews, we booked through Open Table for Mother’s Day and the restaurant was closed when we arrived. We were told that they haven’t taken reservations through Open Table for a couple of years - ONLY BOOK THROUGH THE RESTAURANT DIRECTLY!!!

   Buffet Style, thought more Italian but really not ! Service was good, open seating in the Atrium part of the Hotel which is nice but very bright until night time. Wine list was not up to date as server went to wine cellar to locate our selection only to return with other options which was ok. Overall very nice if you're staying at the Gaylord or being dropped off otherwise parking not great and valet is expensive.

   Very disappointed with your service. I had the reservations for over 3 weeks. Arrived at the restaurant and found it closed. If the restaurant was not going to be open why would you give us a reservation? Your service disrupted what was suppose to be a nice evening out for three couples.

   ABSOLUTELY OVERPRICED!!!! $90 per adult & $45 per child DRINKS NOT INCLUDED. Food was mediocre at best. For the price we paid I was expecting so much more. This restaurant really rip us off.

   Dining was not the usual 5 star experience. The quality of food was disappointing and items normally found on a Saturday evening buffet were missing (i.e. shrimp, tomato bisque soup, salad greens, homemade bread, etc.) The dessert bar did not have any placards and the buffet attendant gave "guesses" which turned out to be erroneous. Missing was ice cream, cookies, brownies which according to attendant no longer offered. Several small children were present who were looking for the above. Our waiter, however, was spectacular. Very solicitous and a pleasure to talk to. He went above and beyond! Another change was the Christmas show where there would be Carolers in the atrium for guests to see and enjoy. Now it is a ticketed event, closed off with black curtains creating a noisy atmosphere. And to end the night...$43.00 for valet parking plus tip!

   I had made reservations for this restaurant several days ahead of our scheduled dinner. I received confirmation and even called the day of our dinner to confirm the reservation. When we arrived, we were surprised to see that the restaurant was empty and no food was ready at the buffet. I rechecked the website for the restaurant and confirmed that it was to be open for dinner (5pm to 10pm). Several other couples were also at the gates. They had reservations also. Absolutely no one was at the restaurant, not even any restaurant personnel. We went to the resort's front desk to inquire as to why the restaurant was not open. All they could say was that the restaurant was closed and that we could go to the other restaurants within the resort. Essentially telling us to kiss off. We inquired as to why no notification was sent to us letting us know that the restaurant was not open. The front desk had no answer, only an apology. We had traveled 30 minutes to get to the restaurant and were going to celebrate my son's 20th birthday. For a high end resort, this was a deplorable way to treat a guest visiting their resort. For those of you that wish to dine at the Villa De Flora, I wouldn't bother, even if you make a reservation because the restaurant may closed when you get there. You can't trust their website and the resort personnel giving you the correct information.

    Our server “Ali from Morocco” was absolutely amazing as our dinner server. We also went to the breakfast brunch and food both times were wonderful. At breakfast there was a wedding and it was a little more loud but still very nice. Beautiful scenery. Beautiful restaurant and very enjoyable!

    Our rainy date night was made perfect by visiting Villa de Flora! Sitting in the atrium is amazing. The food: even better! And the staff are so nice and ready to serve. Hard to believe a place like this isn’t very busy on a Friday night!

    This was by far one of the best buffets I’ve eaten at. From the meat and cheeses to the pasta station to the hand carved brisket station. Every dish was delicious! The ambiance was perfect. It really was just a perfect night. Our server Ali was very friendly and on top of things. We would duplicate this night if we could!

    Not nearly as good as all of my previous years enjoying dinner at this restaurant. After closing for many, many months, they have opened with a red decoration and design of the serving area which at least to me, wiped out all of the Mediterranean homestyle I came to enjoy. The stations are more clinical, the pasta station reduced to a sterile looking and hard to find corner and they totally eliminated the ice cream station. Sadly, there were many people in line wearing bathing suits and other attire that I’m not used to ever seeing before at the restaurant. our reservations were for 7 PM and a party of six so I would’ve thought at that hour that while leisurely attire would be approved, there would still be a higher level after of a dress code present. sadly, after we paid our bill we never saw our server again. Water glasses were not refilled. And dessert plates were left on our table. And even though the tip had been added to our table in advance. We still chose to leave extra knowing that we would be sitting at the table a bit longer talking and enjoying the special birthday occasion. Lastly, management should consider developing a layout plan to place families with small children on the outer perimeter and in the same area with other families having children. Sad that they set a party of five right next to us with two loud rambunctious crying children who absolutely affected our ability to enjoy what could’ve been and should’ve been an amazing time at the Gaylord palms. Clearly this is not the review I’d hoped to of left and sadly as a result of this visit I’m doubtful that I’ll be choosing to go back as often as I have in the past This is a Voice to text transcription so I apologize in advance for the spellings or mistakes in grammar.     Was at resort for conference. Had lunch here. The server, Jackie was very nice and attentive. Only problem seemed to be with the amount of people trying to get thru the buffet lines. Very crowded and slow. Food was ok, just not replenished fast enough so felt rushed to keep line moving.

    We found the restaurant to be relaxing, food tasted very good. My daughter has many food allergies. The chef came out and cooked an individualized meal for her. They brought out a candle and dessert for my granddaughters birthday. Cost is not cheap, but it is typical for a resort.

    I had no idea this was a buffet restaurant, I think the listing should have made that more clear. The hostess was not very friendly, though our server Luisa was magnificent. Still, its a buffet, so there weren't many demands place on the service people. The food was very good, and the selection of food was modest. $279 for 6 people for a buffet.... I won't be back.

    Parking upon arrival was a nightmare. The valet was nowhere to be found, cars were backed up to the point where I was unable to drop off others and self park. Upon entering the restaurant the staff was not very pleasant and were visibly frustrated and irritated with the fact that they were busy.
