Village Tavern Alpharetta
Brunch was amazing!
This was our 1st time to Village Tavern and it won’t be our last. Food was amazing but service is really what stood out. Heather was the best!
Reubens are the best, but so is everything else. Opentable reservation got us to a table at high occupancy lunch time, food served on time. Great place
Filet was delicious, server was very good! Dessert wonderful!
Poor service but not necessarily the server’s fault. He seemed to have more tables than he could handle. Food was very good as always but the service was disappointing.
Food was excellent. Service was good too. We had reservations so the wait time was minimal.
We went for Mother's Day brunch. The place was very crowded, so service was a bit slow. The menu is amazing, many choices, great food combinations. French onion soup was really good as was the shrimp & grits (although a little salty). We had some issues with our avocado toast (eggs almost raw), which was replaced with eggs that were just about hard boiled. The rest of the toast was great, though. Also issues with our steak and eggs. We asked for medium steak, got rare, and sent it back. It came back more charred on the outside, but still rare-medium rare on the inside. Bummer. However, management was very apologetic, and did the right thing and compensated us for the mishaps. So even though our food wasn't what we wanted, we would absolutely come back again and give them another try!
Outstanding Mother's Day meal! I had the filet and crab special, and all parties enjoyed their entree. The desserts were phenomenal - possibly the best creme brulee I have ever tasted. Memorable meal to celebrate a special occasion.
Village Tavern is one of my all-time favorite places to go since 1994. The food was delicious, and the service impeccable. However, even though we had a reservation and arrived about 5 minutes prior to the reservation time, we were kept waiting for 20 minutes. That, and the noise level, which was overpowering, were the only drawbacks. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time.
Brought my wife for Mothers day and we had a great time as usual. Food and service was great.
Normally service is good here but this time we waited over 10 minutes before a server showed up.
He was nice but not attentive as he rarely returned to check on us. It wasn’t full at the time either. We have noticed a decline in service over the past year. Been going there for over 5 yrs.
very good experience- the service and food are consistently good.
Great place to eat with teens. We took our 3 teenage boys and it was a great value.
This was our first visit and we really loved it. The food was delicious and we had the amazing butter cake for dessert! We will definitely be back.
Good menu with many different selections. I had the ribs, which were a little more fatty than the last visit. My wife had the Thai salad which she said was very good. The noise level was extremely loud, with several large parties in attendance. We sat in a corner booth and still had to lean over to hear our guests. The server was professional and very knowledgeable, but had to make several trips to accomplish our requests. Overall, it was good.
When I travel to Alpharetta on business my company is very close to this location. My wife and I have visited the Village Tavern many times now and have enjoyed every visit. We have tried different entrees each time and a repeat or two and everything has been a great choice.
We took our family for lunch. The server was very pleasant and thoughtful which we very much appreciated. The food was good. When I had ordered I asked for something a little different from exactly what was on the menu and the server made sure that it was prepared correctly. She checked in us to make sure everything was as it should be.
Service could be improved. A soup and sandwich combo came only with the half sandwich, which should have clued the server that the soup was missing. Straw was not served with drink unless asked for. It wasn't busy, so there is no explanation for the oversight, except an inattentive server who never came back to ask how our meals were.
Food could use a lift and improvement to be as good as it used to be!
Food is consistently very good! I only had 2 complaints - Red wine was served too cold and the hostesses are not very friendly. There were 3 of them, we had a reservation, there were empty tables and we still waited 10 minutes to get seated. They offered no explanation just kept talking to each other and on a walkie talkie. Good thing this is one of our favorite places and we had been here before and knew our food would be good.
We were catching up with a friend from out of town we had not seen in several years. Shaq did an awesome job. We did not feel rushed. The food was awesome. An all around perfect evening. Thanks.
Amazing food and the service was just as great.
Normally we have great service so I am hoping last night was just an off night. Our server was not attentive at all. Sadly we watched as she swooned over a table that would obviously leave a bigger tip. That is not the kind of service I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. We had to ask other servers for refills and I believe she only visited our table 3-4 times. Since the service was not up to par, we opted to skip dessert which we normally get here. Last but not least the waitress lost my debt card. Thankfully it was recovered.
When making reservations mentioned we were celebrating anniversary. Nothing was done by restaurant or even brought up.Waite staff very poor, dripped wine on table, never wiped up,never came to refill glasses. Told we could not order side salad unless we substituted one of our sides, even though we were willing to pay for it . Generally waiter was very poor not the least bit professional. Waiters never placed drinks on table when delivered they handed them to guests. Received better service from a fast food restaurant.
Excellent. The greeting, seating, and service was “.text book perfect.” We were a party of two. The Bruschetta order was more than ample, presented well, and
Tasteful. The Grilled Salmon plate was also ample, presented well, hot, and tasteful. A very good job by the Village Tavern.
2nd time here, and once again, they are in dire need of a busboy. The used plates continue to collect on the table as each new course is served. It is very odd for a restaurant to keep serving food without first clearing the dirty plates. Otherwise, the food is good and the menu offerings are terrific.
Vilage Tavern has been for years and continues to be one of our favorite restaurants. The food, atmosphere and consistent service makes it a refreshing outing. Our only wish was that one was located closer to our home. None the less, we will always find you when we desire a special meal out.
I love Village Tavern! The food is always excellent; the wait staff friendly and kind; and the overall ambience is perfect for so very many occasions. So glad you are a local treat!
I am a returning customer of many years and this was the first time I have felt compelled to complain but the food was very disappointing Saturday night. My wife and I both ordered our usual chicken terriyaki. We had brought another couple with us and they had Shrimp and Grits. Our dinner came out unusually quickly (less than 8 minutes, I believe). It did not appear to have been freshly prepared. The chicken wasnt really “hot” and the vegetables on top were soggy indicating it may have been prepared earlier in the day. The rice also was barely warm. She and I didnt say anything about it to each other at the time, because I didnt want the other couple to be uncomfortable. I will say your carrot cake desert was as good as always!
But it appears your
Kitchen may be pre-cooking some of your more popular items then barely warming them up. It also dries out the chicken.
Many prom goers when we were seated. The waiter was a bit cold. There was no refilling of water glasses and an ice tea was never received. Once the crowd had left we expected a bit more attention but did not get it. Previous isits were better
Village Tavern is one of my favorite spots in Alpharetta! We had dinner with our dear friends. Unfortunately, they sat us beside a large party of 10 celebrating a birthday. It was loud. I should have asked to be moved before our friends joined us but it worked out ok. Shaq was our waiter. We love him! Good service and the food is always amazing!!!
We had a wonderful server. I’m sorry I can’t remember her name but we were in a booth by the window in the back area to the right of the entrance at 5:30 on Thursday, 4/25. I had salmon and my husband had the shrimp and grits. Superb! Village Tavern will continue to be a “destination dining” experience for us:)
Enjoyable atmosphere for visiting with friends. Attentive staff.
The waiter was amazing my dish was a pasta dish and the oil on it was so heavy and gross I couldn’t eat it so I picked out the chicken and ate only that. When I asked the waiter about it he said that is how the dish always is so warning if you don’t Normally sit down and eat an entire dish of oil I wouldn’t order the chicken pasta it says it’s a basil cream sauce but it’s an grease pit. 🤮 my husbands Got shrimp and grits and it was delicious.
Service was very good but the food was defintely subpar for the price. This place may be better on a night when there isn't a concert at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre. I would go back for cocktails and apps but pass on a dinner if heading to a show.
Great options on food and drink. Very noisy crowd prior to concert
Waitress was fabulouly. My order wasn't as it should have been and she was on top of it. I didn't expect the restaurant to take the charge off, as I easily removed the onions and tomates. Burger was the best.
The manager came over and apologized. Being National Admin Day there was bound to be a few minor hiccups, but they handled it in a very professional manager. Kudos to them both.
The food was great and the service even better!
Our waitress Heather was awesome. She gave us outstanding advice on menu choices.
