The brunch menu was varied enough to satisfy all dining choices. Brunch or lunch variations. You were able to order off the menu on Mothers Day which isn't always the case. Service was attentive, and was able to sit at the table my choice. Quality of food was excellent in all three orders.

I had the crispy chicken with whipped potatoes & I cleaned my plate, loved it! My wife had the scallops & liked it but said she’d like to try something else next time. Reasonable prices & great service! We’ll be back!👍

We were seated promptly and the staff was friendly and professional. The Crispy Lollipop Kale was quite tasty and surprisingly melted in your mouth. Highly recommended. I can also recommend the handmade pappardelle pasta with short rib. We also ordered a side of Crispy Brussels Sprouts that was also nicely don. Serving sizes for all dishes including sides were substantial and could easily be shared by two people. All in all, a great little restaurant.

Vin Antico has lost a little of its luster. The food was good but not great. The service was quite good and the waiter was quite conscientious and responsive. Overall it didn't quite live up to its past glory

The wines by the glass were healthy pours, the Caesar Salad was extremely bland, entrees were good, but portions were somewhat small. Service was ok due to low staffing, our waitress tried as best she could, no fault to her. Nice setting, reminded me of a Manhattan bistro. Unsure if we will return.

The beet salad had maybe 2 pieces of beets at the most. And it wasn't cheap... It seemed a little skimpy on the cheese too. Otherwise donner was delicious.

Ceasar salad tasteless. Vegetable Risotto good. Pear Arugula salad delicious. Pappardelle pasta with short rib ragu was disappointing. The sauce will a dollop of crème fresh presentation was unattractive, the pasta was really thick and doughy taste was lacking. Fried chicken and garlic mashed potatoes were great. Affogato was ice cream and coffee. No whipped cream to make it line a cloud. Tasted good. Flourless chocolate cake too cold, hard to cut but the vanilla ice cream was delicious. This was my 4 time there over several years. Something changed.

The service was outstanding! We were welcomed warmly, and our young server was attentive in the best way - polite and there when we needed him. The manager Kelly made us feel like VIPs. Our meals were served promptly. We lingered over dessert but were not rushed. I had arugula salad and the ahi special, which was very good. My companion ordered beet salad and Brussels sprouts,which she loved. We shared a bottle of the Heffernan cab - EXCELLENT!

Vin Antico is a favorite of ours, and it did not disappoint this time. The food is consistently delicious and beautifully presented. The Heffernan Cab was so perfect with my steak with chimichurri sauce. Yum! The ambience at Vin Antico is really warm, cozy, and welcoming with a lively vibe. The Warriors game was on the tv over the bar, and the music playing was just right. This all makes a difference to us when we choose where we want to dine. Most of all, the service is always, always outstanding at Vin Antico. We were well cared for from the moment we entered, by the host, our server, and the water boy. To make the experience outstanding, manager Kelly greeted us and spent time to visit with us for a bit. She makes her guests feel like valued friends.

We had the Cajun-encrusted ahi, and the short ribs. Both were outstanding! Started with the charcuterie plate, and a side of grilled sourdough with our entrees. A small but good wine list that satisfies. I used to think that Il Davide was the go to Italian restaurant in San Rafael, but now I’m not so sure. Either way we’ll be back!

My husband and I had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner at Vin Antico. Everyone is so gracious and friendly. We started with the arugula salad which was super fresh. Then veganized risotto for me and the pork chop for my husband -- both were fantastic. Great cocktails and atmosphere. We will be enjoying Vin Antico again soon!

I had a reservation and confirmed it via Open Table the day before the evening reservation. I drove 75 minutes to get to the restaurant and was meeting another couple at the restaurant. When we got there on Friday evening January 14th for a 6 PM reservation we found a note pasted to the door that the restaurant was closed from January 13th through January 15th. Why would the staff not call or e-mail us to let us know? Very disappointing in addition to trying to find a restaurant that would take four people on a Friday evening.

We had a lovely New Years Eve dinner before a show at the Marin Memorial Veterans Theater. The food was delicious, the service team were prompt, helpful, polite, and cheerful. The atmosphere was quiet so we could enjoy our food and conversation. We will return.

We had dinner at Vin Antico between Christmas and New Years. Same as past experiences, it was wonderful! The staff is great, very attentive and helpful. Our waiter patiently addressed my menu questions (I eat a plant based diet), checking with the chef when he was unsure of an ingredient. He also consulted with the bartender to recommend a wine that we loved. Cocktails were great, too. Dinner was excellent. My husband had the porkchop with white beans and I had a pizza minus the cheese. We had a really nice time and will be back soon!

The food was very good, especially the prawns diablo - the marinara sauce was incredibly flavorful. Service was good but you could tell the young waiter was not very experienced having to be prompted to bring salt and pepper for our salad and later parmesan for the pasta. But we'll definitely go back.

Vin Antico is a solid choice in Downtown San Rafael. Our server Eddy was attentive and thoughtful. Meatballs were tasty with delicious marinara & olive bread. Scollops on polenta with grilled asparagus were nice and the pasta with mushrooms was a delight. They also have a nice range of wines available.

This is only our second time at Vin Antico and we are so impressed! The first time was Valentine's Day in 2019, just before the Covid shut-down. Our recent visit was my birthday and my sister flew in from Atlanta to celebrate so I knew we'd have to have dinner at a really great place. We were not disappointed! I called ahead because I'm vegan and often disappointed with menus. The hostess assured my that they could modify items on my behalf and she was right! When we arrived, we loved the energy and ambience. The hostess is wonderful and was there in 2019 so perhaps an owner? In any case, she's wonderful and sat us in a nice booth. We started with cocktails which were great. We all had a salad, my husband had the Caesar and my sister and I had the arugula. They were both fantastic! My husband had the pork chop and my sister and I both had the risotto> I'm vegan and they "veganized" it for me. No room for dessert since we had cake at home but am looking forward to our next visit and trying dessert. Oh and finally, it was our waitresses first night and we would have never known! She was attentive and knowledgeable. Everyone was. We'll be back! Thanks to you all!

I love the look of the restaurant, friendly staff and I like supporting my local restaurants. I have been to this restaurant on many occasions hoping it will get better but it is always disappointing. I ordered the pasta with the short ribs in a tomato cream sauce and the pasta was smothered in the sauce. Not very appetizing. The Brussel sprouts were delicious, crispy and flavorful. Unfortunately paying high prices, $25 for mediocre pasta will not encourage me to return.
