    We went on a quiet Tuesday night. We had the best experience. The atmosphere was relaxed, the server, Johanna, anticipated our needs unobtrusively, and the food was outstanding. It was the perfect meal.

    This was our first experience dining at VMertz, and we weren't disappointed. From beginning to end; preparation, presentation and flavors were all outstanding. The steaks weren't a favorite, but still very good. The service and ambiance are excellent, it's a unique and quaint place to enjoy a very special meal!

    Lovely spot for dinner. Superb service and tasty food —we especially enjoyed the charcuterie and the cheese small plates. Extensive wine list. Dinner portions are on the smaller side. Will return when we’re back in Omaha next time.

    The 8 Oz New York strip was perfectly cooked. Delicious bernaise sauce, amazing risotto. Absolutely worth going for that alone. The “small plates” size is a bit of an understatement for the asparagus dish we had. Our very attentive waiter did say it was a personal-sized portion so we ordered two. They were laughably small for $14 each…. Maybe 3 chopped up spears with a little bit of a carrot, some butter, and an egg yolk. Oh, and a few literal bread crumbs. It was good, but I had to resist asking our waiter if they’d accidentally split a single plate for us. I couldn’t stop giggling at how empty the plate looked. Wish I’d taken a photo. Ambience was lovely, gorgeous setting, very romantic spot. So all in all, temper your expectations for the minuscule plates but definitely go and have a truly amazing steak at a beautiful venue.

    We enjoy V Mertz and always try to visit when we are in Omaha. We invited family who live in Omaha but have never been there. They loved it. The steaks are great, perfectly prepared as requested. It is a bit pricey for Omaha but worth it for the quality and creativity of the food.

    Georgie elevated our experience from a simple dinner out to an unbelievable gourmet culinary experience by explaining courses in great detail and answering our questions about various dishes. We ordered several small plates in addition to the main course and dessert. Georgie made absolutely certain everything was tabled at precisely the right time in an order that allowed our taste buds to take in the best of every last morsel. She is an absolute treasure who clearly possesses a passion for culinary excellence and exceptional table side service. Thank you Georgie!!!

    We were unfortunately quite disappointed with our experience. Having never eaten there before, we were excited. But the portions were too small for the price, and the flavor was bland. Too much ice in our cocktails too. The dessert was the only thing we enjoyed.

    one of the most special places to eat in Omaha. Really the only Fine Dining experience. Sommelier was wonderful and service is impeccable. Food is creative and delicious and beautifully presented. Our go to special event place.

    This was the second year that we chose to celebrate our anniversary at your restaurant. It was once again an outstanding experience. We really appreciate all you do to make your customers feel special. The menu is great in the choices you offer. My husband had steak,which he says was great,and I ordered the pasta. It was the best pasta I have ever had! Kudos to the chefs! And we really appreciated the help we received in picking out the wine that we absolutely loved. Thank you again for making our anniversary dinner memorable. We will be back.

    Cozy and intimate, perfect experience for friends visiting omaha for the first time from NYC. Wonderful food and wine. In particular we loved the cavatelli, cauliflower steak, and chicken thighs.

    Nice romantic spot, very pricey food was ok whatever side comes with the wagu steak 8oz was not good, wife enjoyed her food, got to try some appetizers that I never had before. The waiter is very nice and informative over the menu. Probably won't go back because the food didn't taste as good for the price.

    Excellent, pleasant service, whisked our napkins and cutlery, dishes out several times, carefully. We tipped a water glass and they were like ninjas quietly, happily serving. Food was over the top great, no shortcuts here. Tomahawk unforgettable, halibut perfectly cooked and chicken Ballantine fork tender, delicious. Best lamb chops I’ve ever had, truly. All beautifully presented, perfectly seasoned. Use of seasonal veg colorful and creative! Charc board, tartare, cheese board, tender octopus, flavorful—I can go in for just those and be really satisfied. The Gen mgr went overboard to make the night shine for daughters birthday. Superb wine suggestion. Bartender surprised with creative mocktails for NA son. Each employee we encountered was pleasant helpful and professional. We are thankful for this superb quality of restaurant in Omaha. Extraordinary experience!

    We frequent this restaurant and our go to is the tasting menu with wine pairing and we have always thoroughly enjoyed each and every experience! VMertz is actually one of our absolute favorite restaurants in Omaha!! We have never had any complaints until our dinner last night. It took 20 minutes for us to get our drinks after being seated and we didn’t leave until nearly 2.5 hours after we arrived which was far too long. If there were delays for any reason we would have been understanding if that had been communicated to us but it wasn’t. We hope this was just a one off and will most likely return but we are definitely a little hesitant after our last visit. Food was amazing as always!!!
