Great service and food. Fondue was amazing, as was the prime rib.

The alpine fondue was a highlight of the evening. Delicious food overall with a fantastic ambiance. As the restaurant is located a few minutes walk from the Banff Springs Hotel, we appreciated that the restaurant organised taxis and shuttles for patrons.

It was fantastic as always. Best schnitzel and spatzle.

Outstanding service, Good food, amazing atmosphere!

Fondue was excellent. Everything else we ordered was disappointing. We’ve eaten here 3 times now, and all other experiences were good. $500 meal felt like it should have been served at Denny’s.

The food and service was great but it was a bit noisy as two families had been seated closely together so their children struck up a friendship. This was nice but quite noisy. We love children. Main problem for us was it was too dark! The main room was nicely lit but we badly needed table lamps in the turret room.

This was a perfect way to spend a cool night after a day of intense hiking. Best to come with an empty stomach. The staff is exceptionally knowledgable and accommodating, and the ambiance is reminiscent of life in the alps. My husband family is Swiss and this was the best example of his family's cuisine that we have enjoyed outside of the home (or Europe).

Such a beautiful old building, beautiful cozy setting for a restaurant. Food is amazing, their Fondue is second to none.

Be ready for a small menu with authentic german dishes, so not lots of flavors and spices. The ambiance, decoration, and service are phenomenal! You will not regret it.

Restaurant is old and tired. Menu needs to be updated. Fries were incredibly salty, veal was good. Cakes in the chocolate fondue were ice cold like they had been removed from the freezer. Over priced for the quality. Disappointing as every other restaurant on the hotel property were terrific.

Smallest beer or radler is 20 ounces. Schnitzel is very large. Also is very good but bring your appetite! We wanted apple strudel or Black Forest cake but we’re waaay to full to have any

Oktoberfest band was great & the food was delicious!

We celebrated our 25th there. Amazing meal and equally amazing service - plus the ambiance and view. Memorable without question. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back - maybe even tonight again :). Our experience was that good. Thank you.

Dinner at Waldhausv was very good.
Only short coming was fact that restaurant was off site - a $10 cab ride from hotel to restaurant. Nobody at Banff Springs told us about the travel voucher!!

We chose to have dinner at Waldhaus because of its medieval European look. The place is well located and did not disappoint. The staff was amazing and very friendly, and the music and ambiance definitely set the mood. Our waitress was very helpful in ensuring that we had the best experience and to choose a menu that matched our appetite. Thankfully, she recommended that we split the main course, and we still ended up being very full at the end of the evening! I would definitely return in the future!

Great experience while staying at the Fairmont Banff Springs. The food and service were great. A bit over priced, but still a fun night.

Nice German style restaurant. The fondue experience is good with cheese fondue to start, followed by 3 choices of entrees (veal, schnitzel, or salmon) followed by chocolate fondue with fruits. Price is a bit high, however there is no cheap restaurant at the Fairmont Banff Springs, like it or not.

Great view overlooking the golf course! The schnitzel was good. The sides were ok, but not very flavourful. Overall ok, but much better dining experiences elsewhere in Banff.

Fondue meal was amazing! Schnitzel was perfect and pretty authentic as well. Our waiter suggested keeping the cheese fondue around to dip the schnitzel in, and he was not wrong. We did the basic wine pairing too and all 3 wines were delicious, plust the $45CAN price tag for that was pretty reasonable.

Excellent food, excellent service. Was a little hard to find the place - had to walk up a steep staircase then across a treed area. Not conducive to those wearing heels - but worth it.

Food was outstanding. Service unfortunately was not great. I had read reviews saying service was amazing. There were other servers who were very attentive and friendly. Ours was not.

First and foremost, we were served by Angela and she was AMAZING !!! We shared the fondue and it was delicious, I had the Jaeger Schnitzel and it was PERFECT and amazing !! I can't wait to come back. The food, the service was excellent!!!

Disappointed that the veal chop was served with French fries and lettuce. That's it. Schnitzel wasn't served with any accompaniment such as cranberry sauce. Very bland. Cheese fondue was mediocre.
