Lots of free parking! We can not reserve specific tables due to high demand but do take requests.
Great food and service, love this place will be back
We came back because we love WAG! And brought friends. Food was wonderful, as always. Beef carpaccio was tender & flavorful. Hot pot is my favourite with the curry & noodles & seafood/fish in every bite. Lamp was excellent. Shrimp on the lobster ravioli is a good idea.
Our waitress was top notch. Every request was done so fast, eg turn off fireplace. We were a bit crowded (6) & server offered to pull over a small table which made everyone much more comfortable & was really appreciated. Will we be back....without a doubt!
Good food, as usual. Favorite restaurant.
Very much enjoyed celebrating my brother and my birthday at the WAG. Crystal is a great server.
Absolutely, however the parking in Whiterock is a mess, it always adds to the Bill overall,Can’t something be done or is this just a tax grab by Whiterock?
Came for an early dinner at 5 and we were rewarded with a seat on the patio at a window overlooking the beach. Our server was great and the food was delicious!
Fantastic evening, live music, great service and delicious food! Cant go wrong
I had the mixed seafood grill which was excellent as usual except the half the green beans were stingy and tough. I mentioned it to our waiter and she said she would let the cook know. I was full so didn’t want anymore but just wanted to let her know.
Beautiful setting, gorgeous ocean view, great service and yummy food. Can’t ask for more. Loved it.
Definitely not the best experience this trip. The food was not great - the beans were so tough I couldn’t bite through them, the mashed potatoes were over seasoned and tasted reminiscently of chicken noodle soup and my baby back ribs were very dry. The halibut special was over seasoned and the sauce was not great either, definitely not suited for the fish and it was reused with different dishes such as the steak - the steak being the one item that was cooked as requested and the eater had no complaints about.
The 2 appetizers we had were tasty - but why no warm bread anymore? The waitress was fine but never checked in to refill waters, didn’t check to see if we wanted tea or coffee after dinner - didn’t feel like a special time unfortunately.
The whole experience I would rate as minimally meeting expectations. Not what we have enjoyed in the past.
My colleague and I decided to treat ourselves for their Thursday $3 off on Martini’s. Once again, the food was delicious, Margret our server was top notch, the martinis were adventurously yummy and the entire evening was an enjoyable success. We will be back!!!
All 5 of us found the dining experience to be exemplary. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We were given a window table as requested and my 71 st birthday celebration was memorable. Our waitress was pleasant, efficient and helpful. Great job everyone.
We love eating here! The food is good...not magnificent but good, and the service is excellent. Good people work there. Always friendly and worth a stop when visiting White Rock.
Took my mom out for the second mother’s day in a row. Always a great time at the WAG. Food was excellent but the service is what makes this restaurant stand out for me!
We were celebrating our anniversary, and the host at the front noticed this on the reservation and wished us a Happy Anniversary. We were given a table by the window with a lovely view of the water. This was all a positive start to the night. But from there on we found the service lacking - our waitress wasn't very attentive to our table. She didn't come by to offer us a second round of drinks, even though they were finished before our meals arrived. We had planned to order a bottle of wine, but decided not to bother as we didn't even see our waitress again until after our meals arrived. After finishing our entrees, we ordered dessert and after dinner drinks. Before we had even finished, we were presented with the bill and asked if we needed a machine to pay. It felt very much like we were being rushed out, even though we had barely finished our meals. We had only been there for 1 & 1/4 hours and it had taken almost 30 minutes of that to even get our meals after we ordered. So I'm not sure what the rush was, unless they overbooked for the night and decided they wanted to turn our table over to make up for it. We certainly hadn't been there as long as other tables around us that were already there when we arrived, and still there as we left.
The other issue we had that evening were a couple of tables with small children/infants who were crying, wailing, and screaming throughout the time we were there. While I understand it is up to the parents to know their child is disturbing the other patrons and deal with it, at some point a manager should have approached those tables and asked them to quiet the kids down for the sake of the other diners. Not sure we would come back here for any special celebrations in the future. There are restaurants that actually appreciate it when customers choose their establishments to celebrate, sometimes even with an acknowledgement from their server of the event & maybe even an appetizer or dessert on the house. But not this one.
Our dinner & wine was fabulous. Can get very noisy, at least it was a beautiful evening & the windows were open. Thank you
Great service, atmosphere, food, view, people, not too much noise
Great night celebrating Mother’s Day (early). We arrived and got a beautiful table by the window the already amazing ambiance and view was perfected by the beautiful weather! Wonderful service and amazing food quality (as has been every experience here!). Will be back
Lots of different options. Fresh delicious meals... great variety...
A very pleasant find. Can't beat the location and the menu is varied and fairly priced.
We love WAG! Always a great dining experience. I always pic WAG for our special occasions. The food is amazing!
Good and environment was great. Service was spotty. Waited a while for drinks....
Food and table were excellent and service was somewhat slow. Overall was very good.
My wife and I come here a few times a year and the WAG never disappoints. The staff is friendly and the menu is very good. I had the special which I rarely get, and it was fantastic. I love this place and will continue to go there.
We have never been disappointed with the WAG. It has a great atmosphere for dining overlooking the Semiamhoo Bay with great views.
Great restaurant. Great food. Very lively. We got a seat by the window at sunset this time, so it was perfect. Friendly staff. We've been before, and we brought some friends of ours this time who had also been. Good times.
We recommend a reservation for sure! It was easy and we requested a window table which was perfect. The service was incredible and the food to die for!! It was a perfect evening thank you!!!
We had a beautiful view and our server was very friendly and personable (when she came by) and food was served with good timing. Service was not great however. Water was not replenished regularly enough, our wine came when we were literally finished with our dinner and we were not asked how our meal was at any time. The restaurant was busy, but I don't think the lack of service was acceptable. We shared two delicious appetizers (beef carpaccio and tuna poke) but the entrees were ok. The Cajun spices on the halibut were overpowering and took away from the fish. Overall, for the scale of restaurant the service was poor.
Noisy place but the food and service are very good
We had a wonderful dinner the food was amazing, perfectly done everything that came out of the kitchen looked wonderful.
It was very busy lots of people, we never felt rushed we had a wonderful waitress. The wine was good dinner was fab service excellent. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Great food great service terrific location
Brent the owner great guy
The Chef, Sao Kitigawa, ROCKS! He has been there for over a decade and leads a team of culinary artists that he selected and trained. The Halibut dish was the best I have had with a mild dusting of Cajun spices encrusted on top. The Apple Cheesecake Pie was incredible! The musicians were world class, and particularly the vocalist was great. No wonder this restaurant is packed most of the time...and the little kitchen is churning out the same quality for years! Better make a reservation!
Ive seen this place there for maybe 20 years? The outside appearance was a turn off to me. So glad we chose to try it. Great ambiance and i think it will be my go to for white rock.
We enjoyed a lovely lunch with a great view of the ocean. Wonderful place to celebrate our daughter’s 19th birthday. The food and service were excellent. Unique decor and she enjoyed finding places to mark the occasion with pictures.
We were very happy with our dining experience and Krystal was our waitress. She even remembered us! We are always greeted warmly and the service is always great!
Food was average for this kind of establishment, ambiance was great with the Joshua Wyper duo.
The noise level was crazy I thought.
Food was incredible, service was quick, ambiance was great for a really Saturday night dinner.
Really enjoyed dining at WAG!! As it was a Saturday evening it was quite noisy by 6:30 pm so would
choose to come on a week day for a quiet intimate meal! otherwise fantastic!
Our server Danny was great. So friendly and hope we can sit in her area again. You hire great people and we are always made to feel very welcome. Thanks for the great food and atmosphere. You are our favourite restaurant in White Rock!
The service was good. Our server was good. I did say we were there for a birthday but there was no acknowledgment of it. Other places have given me a complimentary dessert but I had to pay for mine. The food was good. The wine was great. Comments I had written on my original reservation about my birthday were completely ignored
