Lots of free parking! We can not reserve specific tables due to high demand but do take requests.
We had 6 adults at our table and it was very squishy once all of our food started arriving (I had to just hold my plate at one point as there was no where for it to go on the table), so a little more space would’ve made it a perfect experience. However we were very satisfied with the food and service.
It was my birthday dinner with my boyfriend. We throughly enjoyed our time at the Restaurant. The food was delicious and the wine selection was great. The music was very nice not to loud. I enjoyed the Saxaphone player he was awesome. The service was excellent too. I'd recommend the WAG to anybody who wants a great dinner and evening out
We have dined at Washington grill quite few times and always loved the food experience, service and ambience.
We did have a choice of other restaurants however since was a special outing we felt it was a good place to celebrate our friend birthday.
When we made reservation we ask if possible a window table knowing very well the request couldn’t be confirmed, upon arrival the bartender took us to the table along the entrance not far from the stage, the dining was quite busy so we were okay with that, however would have been nice to acknowledge our request.
Menu were brought in quickly and soon after we were served water and we order wine, after that we never sow our waitress until my friend complain about taking so long for our order, when the waitress arrived at our table, there was no apologies kind of well here I’m!!
The food was great however the service and attentiveness wasn’t there, wanted to get more ciabatta bread however no one insight,
Even when We ask for the bill several time finally arrived and once again we waited quite long time and never anyone came back to the table, I had to get up and look for the waitress to pay the bill, I did express my disappointment on her service, even so she apologized our friends were not happy and our evening was spoiled.
Being a server it’s not an easy task, and every client is different,
We didn’t ask for any special request, we just wanted to experience a nice evening out, perhaps next time let your party know you are either busy or perhaps new on the job but please do not take things for granted and passive, we do not appreciate dining out and having unpleasant service.
Ordered beef short rib but seemed as though the meat was microwaved before being served. Crazy hot and steaming from inside but cooler on outside. Disappointed!
We had the Taste of White Rock at $35/person. Salad and dessert were basic but quite good. A bit disappointed wit the short ribs - not up to their normal standard. All in all, still an enjoyable meal and ambiance.
Great experience. At lunch 2 diners were vegan & after calling ahead were totally happy with their menu choices, my spouse loved her salad & my mussels were outstanding.
The ambience and decor was wonderful, blown away by the entry foyer with a hanging motorcycle and fantastic art work adorning the walls, the eclectic decor was I felt spectacular leading to the 2nd floor dining area & bar overlooking Semiahmoo Bay. A total 5 star experience.
The restaurant was packed to capacity , we were seated right away , the service was very efficient , the food is outstanding , seafood is the star here , loved all that we tried. salmon wontons , tuna poke , crab cakes , pecan salmon , hot pot were all delicious
I went there with family to celebrate my son's 20th birthday. We ordered soup to start with. It came out cold and had to return it back. For my main course, I ordered steak and it was pretty good. But my 2 kids ordered ribs and poutine, it was burned and too salty. My wife ordered stuffed chicken, it was average.
WAG was as good as it usually is. It’s one of our favourite restaurants in White Rock/South Surrey.
Food and service is always great - really good value in a beautiful location. We try to go at least once every month or two.
Love this place! Great views and the decor has such a cool vibe. Food is generally pretty good however their menu doesn’t include calories which is sort of annoying. Anyways, when my food came out it was cold but my server got me a new plate right away. Overall a good experience!
My friends and I had a great time. We enjoyed the live music and the room downstairs was great for taking pics. The food tasted so good, but it was a little pricey.
The WAG is always good but tonight it was extra special. All our meals were perfect and service top notch.
Love this restaurant! We celebrate here regularly!😊👌
We went on a Tuesday, crowded in with the others in 1/3 of the restaurant while the remaining 2/3 was empty. Ordered the Calamari as a starter, it came with diced hot green peppers all over it, we thought it was chopped green onion because green onion is something you would expect on Calamari. After a couple bits with hot peppers we realized, scrapped them off. However the burning taste and sweat lasted through the evening, I took most of my dinner to go since I could not enjoy it.
Would have commented to the server, however she never once came by to ask us how our meals were, so....
We love coming to this restaurant but this time around the noise level was almost unbearable and we were with elderly people with hearing aides and they found the noise challenging. Having tables so close together in some areas ie access to the east dinning area as an example is too tight... recommend big parties in a secondary dining area while smaller groups ( quieter) can enjoy their meals and experience more thoroughly. The service was excellent as usual. I was a bit disappointed with the ambiance is all
Love it. Always love it. Feels like home....but a super fun home with live music and a great crowd. Service was impeccable, as ALWAYS. Thanks again
We went there at 4:45 to catch a happy hour drink then have dinner with the birthday coupon the W.A.G. sends out to diners. It was the day after New Years and quiet when we arrived but was getting busier by the time we left...very popular White Rock dining spot with a very cozy atmosphere and fair prices.
One of our favorite restaurants! Definitely recommend it.
Loving ambience. Nice to look over the ocean.
Best ever fish (steelhead) and chips - such a light batter and so tasty! We’ll go again just for that and the beet salad (also amazing)!
Great view of the water boasts it's own parking lot which can be a challenge in white Rock. We have been a number of times for lunch and dinner. Favourite dish is khalua curry prawns with jasmine rice and crisp green beans. Generous portion of 10 prawns for $21.99 and that sauce omg. Great wine selection too. They need to replace the worn black staircase but otherwise good destination
It’s a nice place and the service was good. A couple minor issues but nothing worth mentioning. The food is average, they have messed up with two basic dishes that are so simple: the boccincini salad -by adding arugula and serving the tomatoes in wedges vs. slices and the beef carpaccio, also bulked up with unnecessary mixed greens- the rest were okay. The creme brûlée had a very thick caramel top, not how it should be. What I’m appalled by is the fact that they’re getting away with zero accessibility for people with mobility issues. My elderly Mom had a lot of trouble climbing up and down the stairs. Given the demographic in the area, it’s outrageous that this restaurant isn’t catering to their elderly neighbours. I very much doubt I’ll be back or recommend it to anyone with so many options out there that aren’t this inconvenient.
Not only would we recommend but have...many times. They ever disappoint.
Absolutely fabulous as always! Food and service were superior and the live music was perfect and wasn’t too loud that you couldn’t have conversation. We will be back next week as always
Took our clients out for Christmas dinner . We visit the wag approximately 1-2 times month for past 15 years . Some of us Ordered Caesar salads with grilled Cajun chicken and sautéed mushrooms , 1/2 my grilled chicken was missing off my plate when it arrived , I showed server right away , then after 3 bites we all complained our Caesar salads were swimming in way too much dressing , lettuce was wilted and soggy because way way too much dressing , 2 of us sent salads back , 1 of us lost our appetite and cancelled , server was bit condescending to us OH you want 1/2 dressing then ? We said we’ve been ordering this salad for many years and it’s never been like this before ( shone my iPhone light on salads to show her ) then manager came at our request and she wasn’t very helpful either , big disappointment, what was supposed to be a nice Christmas dinner with clients was awful experience, some guests ordered lamb with no potatoes salad instead , she waited 10 min for her side salad and it was loaded with Blue cheese , she hates blue cheese , she never asked for crumpled blue cheese NOR was she told it had crumpled blue cheese , some of us ate our food , or sent it back , we all ate at different times as we all had problems with our very simple ordere ( it’s not like we were asking for lots requests it was very basic simple ordering ) my husband does not want to go back he said for long time as he’s dissatisfied disappointed, we wanted to impress our clients for Christmas, the complete opposite happened
Awesome spot, unique
Great food and service. Will come back again.
Great food and service. Love the live music, but wished it was a bit quieter. But overall outstanding place
Awesome as usual!!! Absolute favourite place to gather or dine together
As always The Wag staff were friendly and efficient. The food was awesome and the presentation was 4 stair
The Lady singer provided nice background ambience
WAG is our go-to place for mouth-watering food, tentative service and delicious martinis. Margaret was our server, and as per usual, she was friendly, outgoing and, in the end, made our night an enjoyable success.
We always enjoy our experience @ The Wag...great ambiance, electric decor, friendly and efficient service and delicious food. Portions are on the large side so come with a good appetite!
It was our first time visiting the restaurant with another couple who have been on many occasions. Unfortunately we were seated under a heat lamp on the outer portion of the restaurant and it was so hot it was very uncomfortable. We did ask for the heat to be turned off but it didn't appear to happen and we were relieved to leave the restaurant so this wasn't the best experience for us.
Great food, prompt service.
Food and service we're both great.
Nice location, with a great atmosphere.
Nice atmosphere, friendly service and great food, nothing more required.
I have had many enjoyable meals at WAG with family and friends. Always had great food.
Unfortunately my friend and I ordered fish and chips and we're both disappointed and didn't eat much. It was too heavily battered and fried and the batter was extremely thick and had a hard crust.
The cod inside was dry.
Won't order this again but will certainly continue to enjoy the WAG.
Food was service was outstanding.
Love the decor ambiance and music
Server didn’t prioritize our table, felt ignored and think it was because of our age (we were much younger than most tables in the restaurant) and food was good but not worth the price although they are decently big portions. Wine selection was good along with beer selection, and rooftop patio tables are very charming and romantic.
We were celebrating a birthday. We had good service, but I was not very satisfied with my food which was tortellini. It had too much rich sauce which I tried to remove from the pasta but, in the end, I was not
feeling well for the rest of the day and night. I did not mention this to my waitress, so she was unaware.
