Lots of free parking! We can not reserve specific tables due to high demand but do take requests.
Service was great! Window table with a view and slight ocean breeze was perfect!
Salmon & chips plus Cod & chips very good....batter light and tasty homemade chips
Good portion size....good value
I love the WAG! Everything was great... it was super hot in there but hey ... it’s the summer ... and I’ll dress a little cooler next time. Thanks so much!
Service was superb. Hot pot and value for Tuesday $30 three course meals was excellent.
Very warm in restaurant and for some reason the fans weren't running. Our server was not very attentive despite the fact it was an early seating and we were left waiting quite a while for our dessert and then later our bill.
We enjoyed the atmosphere & view. The food was good as usual.
Service was rather lax. Although we had made a reservation, we had to wait. Which I understand can happen. However it would’ve been nice to of been offered a drink from the bar to have and enjoy with our friends while we waited for our table. Nothing was offered to us. when we were seated and the waitress came to our table she immediately asked what we would like to order. She didn’t mention if they had any specials we had to ask. Food was rather standard but the view always makes up for the lack of service. Can’t say I’ll be rushing back though. There are plenty of other places along the white Rock strip that service Is much better and the view pretty much amazing at any of the local restaurants
Long to get drinks when we arrived (prob 10 plus minutes after being seated). Finished drinks (alcoholic) before meals came no second drink was offered. Even when food arrived they did not ask if we wanted more drinks even though glasses were empty. Also did not suggest any appetizers when taking initial drink order or dropping them off. It was extremely warm in the restaurant. Very loud. It was a special family occasion and unfortunately a very average experience. I want to like this place but have had a few very average experiences there now. Will try other comparable restaurants in the area in the future.
The WAG is a solid, consistently great restaurant. It has been a part of East White Rock beach for a very long time and our family has celebrated many special occasions. This time we were celebrating my Mother's 70th birthday. It was a challenge for my Grandmother (91) to get up the stairs, but she managed and she enjoyed her shared meal that was accommodated by the server as her appetite is less these days. It's those little things that give thoughtful caring to our beloved elders, so that they too can enjoy an evening out with family. The only negative was the loudness of the restaurant, but how to manage that is beyond me. Thanks again for a terrific evening.
Great spot with fresh food and unbeatable views. Very different design and decor, will return!
Very disappointed that I couldn't get the garlic mashed potatoes until 5 o'clock .
Did not see ANY reason why I couldn't make a 4 o'clock reservation ( plenty of open tables)...
Our server seemed more interested in just getting us out of there....not the kind of service we have come to expect from the WAG or the Vault.
Pretty disappointing on my b-day.
Excellent evening, Couldn't come up with one negative. Don't visit White Rock without coming here, because you will not have experienced the best food on the beach!
We had a fantastic dinner, with any amazing view of the ocean. The drinks were perfect and the food was on point! We definitely will be coming back soon! Worth the drive from Chilliwack:)
Great service delicious food great view and free pkg. Liked it alot!
We have been to the WAG many times. This time we reserved for 2pm on Sunday. Best time to reserve for sure. We picked our own table with an ocean view. Our server was pleasant and helpful. The Caesars are excellent as is the red wine....Pepperwood.
Have been a satisfied diner for years. Wonderful Ahi Tuna- medium rare (that’s just right)- as good as you will taste anywhere- and in my case that’s a lot of places. Always get full value for a great evening out with just the best food!
Love this place but often I find the service less than impressive ( a bit slow and inattentive). I’ve eaten there 6 times now. I keep going back for the great food and ocean views though
Good was excellent. Nice view
The food and service is FANTASTIC. Better than the Keg and Milestones. The price is totally reasonable. The noise level is SO loud though it's obvious and uncomfortable. The set up doesn't allow for sound absorbing (The Keg is far larger and they have set up their restaurant to help reduce noise/chatter). The indoor patio makes you feel like you're in a sardine can, the inside dining area is much prettier and the lighting is ambient and pretty there too. Live music is wonderful except we didn't get to see or hear any of it because they were set up by the bar and due to how noisy it was on the patio we didn't realize there was a live band until we walked by them to leave. If WG revamp their set up a bit, they would easily double their clientele. Thank you for the delicious Pistachio Crusted Steelhead:)
Noise Level ... there should be a Loud option ... it was very loud ... hard to talk across the table.
Very loud. Hard to have convos
Absolutely love the WAG. This was our 20th wedding anniversary and wouldn’t have chosen anywhere else to celebrate.
Bought Entertainment book on line and assumed the WAG coupon would be on it, as it is in the paper Entertainment book, but were told by waiter that u only accept the paper coupon. This was very disappointing.
I usually have the short rib and once again mine was fine. My wife tried it and hers was dry and sinewy. Not as nice.
My husband and I dined at WAG on Mon July 1st (Canada Day). Celebrated my birthday which gave us a free meal worth $25. Great Gift! Had a table closest to the water with an awesome view of the ocean. Could smell the ocean air all evening with the window open. Wasn't super busy as it often is so it was quite quiet. Great food, great service. We have never had a bad experience at the WAG Highly recommend it.
I loved the eccentric little house with a gorgeous view of the ocean; however, my food arrived with a hair mixed in with the food so my date ended up eating their dinner while mine was re-made. The waitress could NOT have been nicer and even bought us dessert to make up for the inconvenience. If we wouldn’t have had the waitress we did, my review (with the exception of the view) would be all one stars.
It was a great evening locale for a dinner to celebrate anniversary. Great table placement as requested, and staff was attentive and friendly. It's a place we return to again and again. It's on our recommended list for all our short stay guests.
Good food...good service...great value...extensive lunch menu...very enjoyable.
I would recommend it.
We will go again!
We were squished in the corner. Which was unfortunate as we requested that we be put by the window with a view as we were celebrating a 10 year anniversary. Our waitress was almost never around for us to talk to, not overly friendly. Our food was pretty bland. It was just an overall mediocre experience, which was too bad because I think it was just a fluke thing. I do believe it is probably very enjoyable otherwise. We just had a bit of a bummer night.
I havent been there for about 1 year. Disappointing. A Tuesday evening. Noise level was terrible. Kept asking friend to repeat herself. Service was good, food adequate. Sorry, but wont be returning.
It was my birthday dinner and it was amazing! We have always loved the food there. I’ve been coming to the WAG for quite some time now and I love it. Always get the same enter just different appetizers and drinks :)
Great food...Great service from both waitress and bus person. Wonderful view from window table. Only slight negative - was very noisy.
Anniversary meal - great food and service. Small issue of a live band so glad we were sat at the opposite end to the them as otherwise I’m not sure we would have been able to talk and enjoy the meal as much.
We went on a busy Saturday night. We were seated quickly at a fairly nice table. Our service was quick, but the server was a bit impersonable, possibly distracted. The seafood we ordered was cooked perfectly and the pasta dish was incredible, but the side of vegetables were undercooked. Overall, pretty nice date night out, but we will likely try to do a quieter night of the week.
Thank you so much for food and service. We had good time however our friends who we invited from Richmond noticed that reserved table wasn't ready: no forks, knifes, napkins ( for 6 people there were only 2 sets...) as well I had left 1/2 portion of my main meal ( stuffed chicken ) and asked to pack - we were waiting , waiting -however it didn't come.... and no waitress was able to talk at this moment. Otherwise we enjoyed our second ( for me and my husband) visit of your restaurant.
Always love going to the WAG!
While previous visits were generally good, this was the worst experience. This was Happy Hour at 4:45pm and not busy. Despite reservation and birthday notation, host showed us to a tiny corner table when plenty of tables were available. We asked for a different table and sat for 10 mins with no server acknowledging us. It was my husband's birthday and he had to go to reception to ask for service. While no one was rushed to serve us, they were rushed to clean our table. Balsamic vinegar removed in a flash when I still had bread on my bread plate. After I finished my dinner, I left my plates to one side of table. Busboy came to take my plates away and then REACHED OVER TOP my husband's main entree while he was still eating to remove his bread plate. Totally improper etiquette. Then server had the nerve to remind me that the bill total was AFTER the birthday voucher, meaning I should tip BEFORE voucher was applied - which I knew and have always done so. I did not appreciate being reminded. And despite reservation and voucher noted “BIRTHDAY”, not one person said “Happy Birthday” to my husband. My lamb shank was also the smallest I have ever had. Food quality was just manageable - lamb shank was very salty. We were going to celebrate my husband’s birthday with more drinks and desserts but decided to leave. Bad memory for a birthday celebration. So, don't go there if you expect good service.
Great food, service, and atmosphere, while being family friendly.
We have been going here for many years, and always enjoy ourselves!
Enjoyable meal with customers. The food was good and the service staff exceptional. Will definitely return.
Food is excellent. We just found it a little loud overall while trying to talk at the table.
