Waterfront is a small 50 seat Restaurant and Wine Bar. We have just begun our eleventh year of business and have established a strong following for the creations of Chef and Sommelier Mark Filatow. Chef Filatow exudes a passion for his art that is brought to new heights through marriages with the exclusive selections found on our wine list.
Our menu specializes in a mixture of Tapas-style items and Main Courses, with the focus on offering our guests as wide a variety of flavors as possible.
***Waterfront Wines guests must all be over the age of 19***
It was our first time but definitely won’t be the last time. Service was excellent and our server was the best. Very knowledgeable on the menu and helped immensely with our selections. Lastly the food was too die for. I had the duck and my wife had the steelhead trout. You can’t go wrong with any of the menu options
Another excellent meal. Everything was exceptional.
Excellent food and service. The deserts were amazing. We will be back !
Great experience. Food was first rate and the 'wines by the glass' list, albeit small, was nothing but gems. Would definitely go back,
Fantastic food, reasonably priced and great service. We came here on the recommendation of our wine tour guide and we were not disappointed.
10/10 would eat again
We have been at this restaurant numerous times....the chef/owner is outstanding....farm to table!
His knocks it out of the park with a joint of beef on a spit or a summer appetizer that you want to lick the plate...
Very generous servings and you are full.....but the desserts???? Where to put it?
We were 4 the ither night so we shared a creme caramel. Velvety smooth custart....excellent!
You can get the sparkly sandles out and put them on....half there had made a good attempt at not wearing their beach gear!
But you can...the patio is open for the summer.....
Food was amazing!
Exceptional halibut main course. Too bad we don’t live closer.
As usual, the food and service was amazing!
when booking, was advised that there was room only at the bar and only time was 5:45. Arrived in a hurry to find the restaurant empty with lots of seating everywhere. It's called waterfront - but there is no waterfront view. The risotto was not done well. The sauces did not seem freshly made.
Good food, good times! I sat on the patio with no water view though.
I would have given food a higher rating but felt I should mention that medium rare was more rare than we would have preferred. Other than that everything was excellent!!! Next time I will insist on Medium.
We enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Waterfront Wines. Everything was delicious from the wine, to the cheese platter to our Angus flat iron steaks.
There was nothing wrong but nothing outstanding. A fine dining experience should have at least one course that generates enthusiasm but there was not one.
The chowder was short on content, the foie gras was a bit bland, the mains were not exceptional. The doughnut dessert was the best course. So any recommendation would be qualified.
It truly is the most consistent bistro in Kelowna. Chef Mark and the team embrace the farm to table better than most. Creativity is always a bonus. Highly recommend
Good food. Not great. And very not great considering the cost.
My wife had a ceasar to drink. Simply put, it was not good.
Great Service, our waiter was informed and friendly!
A delightful little restaurant, great for a date night out or just dining with friends. The food was delicious (we had the Halibut) and our waiter Shane helped us select the perfect bottle of wine (Fandango) to go with our meal. I rarely order a dessert however, we decided to share the Chocolate & Coconut Semifreddo and it too was divine! We also enjoyed being outside on their patio, as it was a lovely evening. Truly one of our nicer meals while visiting Kelowna and would be happy to return when next in town. Thank you again to Shane and the chef(s) for making this a special experience.
Best Restuarant in all of Kelowna. We are blown away by the food every time we go and the menu is always changing for amazing variety. The service is top notch, classy, professional and still fun.
Overall dining experience was great with the exception of Caesar salad that was bland with limp romaine lettuce
Really enjoyed the service, atmosphere and food. A great choice for a weekend vacation while in Kelowna
Great food and friendly staff. A bit too dark for Insta photo shooting ,,,,,, But it was an excellent treat for dinner ! Highly recommended
I wrote anniversary under the reservation but it was never mentioned. But the food and service was great.
Every time we dine at Waterfront Wines we say we must come back as its always stunning.
Thank you Waterfront Team.
This is one of the best places to eat in Western Canada. I am always very happy when I can go and enjoy a meal there. Service, ambience and of course the food were all amazing.
If I could change anything it would be great if a person could book a table through the online reservation process.
Thank you for the opportunity to voice my thoughts.
Please continue what you are doing, it is a great formula.
Awesome as always. Love this place. Great vibe, humble chef, fab food
I like your restaurant but it is really loud. Hard to hear your dining partner talk. Also the tables are really tide together. I've eaten at the bar a couple of times and I think I prefer that to a table. Service is great!
Absolutely amazing food and atmosphere!! Highly recommend!
The food is extraordinary. The place is very small, seating close. We had booked an outside table but it was so cool and windy we asked for an inside one. None available except one that we could have for just over an hour. We enjoyed the wine and dinner but didn’t stay for dessert as we would have had to move to the bar. Again, the food wonderful.
Fantastic! Our anniversary dinner couldn't have been any better. I would highly recommend Waterfront Wines! We'll be back.
This is our favourite restaurant in Kelowna .....food always great! Service exceptional! We have been dining here for about 12 years .......need we say more!
Had a lovely anniversary dinner on the patio. Server was very attentive and had lots of suggestions when we asked. Food was all fantastic!
Great food, great ambiance, and great service. A little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. An overall great quality restaurant that is perfect for a romantic date night.
First time customer. The caesar was very bland, but that's not a big deal. More importantly, I ordered the signature flat iron steak dish. The waitress said it comes medium rare, which is normally how I prefer my steaks anyways, but when it arrived it looked like seared tuna dish. It arrives sliced up and the outside was nicely grilled, but the rest was bright bright red.... it was still very chewy that's how rare it was. Anyways, you can't send a sliced up steak back for another round, so I ate it and went about my evening. A bit disappointing given the cost of the dish and the hype around the chef.
On the positive, the rest of the dishes were excellent and the service was very good. Would I go back? At that price point I'll probably try another option or play it safe with the keg.
I was expecting a “waterfront” place to eat but it is not. The reviews online didn’t really say anything about that. It was a very nice spot non the less.
The inside was very loud (music wise) so we choose to sit outside. But being such a small area, tables were close together and a table of 10 was sat right next to us that completely drowned out any conversation that our table of 2 was trying to have.
Waterfront Wines is one of our favourite places t dine in town for a special night out! The food is always amazing, service exceptional, and ambiance just right. Looking forward to our next time back!
Very nice. Good food, wine and service. Would definitely come back.
Food was mediocre at best (fish cooked the point of being dry, vegetable raw). Ambience was also lacking (looked Fraser’s apartment from the 90s sitcom). Service and wine list were above average. Not worth the price point despite the reputation for being one of Kelowna’s top eateries.
