Waterfront is a small 50 seat Restaurant and Wine Bar. We have just begun our eleventh year of business and have established a strong following for the creations of Chef and Sommelier Mark Filatow. Chef Filatow exudes a passion for his art that is brought to new heights through marriages with the exclusive selections found on our wine list.
Our menu specializes in a mixture of Tapas-style items and Main Courses, with the focus on offering our guests as wide a variety of flavors as possible.

Great! Pleased with all aspects of visit. Will be returning to host the next out-of-town visitor.
Lovely food, great ambience, great prices for the quality! Will return!
Our server, Lindsey, was exceptional. Food was thoughtful and perfect. Favourite spot.
Though we have been there but a few times, Waterfront has been a very pleasant experience. The food is a cut above and unique. We always enjoy food that "Grandma won't not make" - Waterfront meets that criteria. Service was professional and knowledgeable. If we had a question about the menu or food preparation, our serve had an answer.
If you have a special occasion, guests in from out of town or you are from out of town, you cannot go wrong with Waterfront.
Great food and service. Little loud. Lalalaalalalalallalalalalalalallalalla
I thought the pork chop was overpriced. It tasted fine but the roasted root vegetables were almost raw and for $42 it was disappointing. I have had other meals there that were outstanding so hopefully it was just a one-off. I’ll be back for sure
This is me and my girlfriends favourite place! It’s constantly amazing every time we come
Thank you !!!
I love the simplicity of the dining room and the friendliness of the staff. The strip loin was cooked perfectly at medium as requested with a generous amount of truffles. Service was excellent and the wine list had lots of variety without being overwhelming. A very enjoyable evening and we can't wait to go back again.
Great meal as usual! Wine, food and service were all terrific. Thanks!
Sharleen was outstanding - attentive yet not intrusive, humorous yet not irritating, and her recommendations and accommodations for our (ok, my) dietary needs was perfect. In fact, my custom-made meal was the most delicious and my friends, although thrilled with their fish, we envious.
Thank you for a terrific evening.
The only reason it wasn't 5 star is that I thought we would have a lake view, given your restaurant's name.
Waterfront....nope, no view of the lake here. Staff clearly didn't look at the notes on our reservation, we were there for a special occasion. One staffer caught it just before we were about to leave. The food was good, but we were underwhelmed. For the reviews and awards, we expected more.
If we were to go back it would be for a casual experience and not the main course. We suspect their patio in the summer would be great.
We were there for the Skate Canada event. The restaurant is close to the water front park. Since it is a small restaurant, reservation is highly recommended especially on special events dates. The seating is comfortable, noise level is moderate. Menus do not offer too much of main dishes but the quantity of food is great. Wine is great as well.
Just found this restaurant and I would say its a gem. When we come into town from the coast for the weekend we would always go to Raudz which is also a wonderful restaurant . Definitely in the same category . Awesome food , great ambience and professional staff. All in all a wonderful place.
We were with another couple on our Anniversary and it was spectacular!
The food and wines are second to none. The chef James McKenzie is a genius. Absolutely incredible food.
Lighting and decore could use an update but the food outweighs all of that! Would definitely recommend.
Delicious food (and of course an amazing wine list) in a smaller room, especially good for romantic meals. There is nothing negative I can say about the food, in fact I will probably send everyone I know there just for that fact.
However, while our server was simply lovely, the hostess/other server (not sure of title) was outwardly rude, not just to us, but to other patrons as well - ignoring us/them, not making eye-contact, and making snappy remarks at very simple and kind requests. At this price point, that is unacceptable (at any pricepoint really), and it had us leave the restaurant a lot earlier than we otherwise would have, as we truly felt uncomfortable. Our server, however, was lovely- she took great care of us, even offering travel advice, and she was very knowledgeable about the food/wines.
Ladies, bring a scarf/cardigan- the AC in this restaurant is freezing and blows very strong.
Very enjoyable evening. Would certainly recommend
While the food, service and general ambiance was good we (party of 4), were extremely disappointed at the lack of recognition by the restaurant for the birthday celebration in our group.
When asked about this, we were told they provide a ‘candle’ in the the dessert that we would pay for. Considering the average bill with wine was 150.00 - 200.00 per couple, this seemed so ‘chintzy’. A small complimentary dessert would have been a perfect ending to a lovely evening.
Excellent Tuna Starter, good Halibut, many wines by the glas. Nice service.
Great food and wine
Just all around pleasant evening. Wine list was great. Server was kind, courteous and informed.
Waterfront Wines is our favourite for an evening out-delicious food, amazing service and a great wine list. Absolutely loved it
The ambiance and atmosphere did not speak to fine dining, although the food was definitely top shelf!
Had been my favorite restaurant since they opened their doors over 10yrs ago. Never once had a meal that was just good or ok, always absolutely amazing. From the food to the service to the wine and cocktail list, hands down the place to go if you want a flawless and truly memorable dining experience
One of my favourite places to eat. Every time I go to Kelowna, I always end up eating at Waterfront Wines
Perfect all around. Sat on the patio for dinner, it was beautiful. Service was excellent. Highly recommend.
The kitchen is small but efficient. We watched as servers, hostess, and line cooks all pitched in with the dishwasher. The duck breast was the best I’ve ever eaten and the dessert beignets were sublime.
Atmosphere & food provided a great evening with friends passing through from Victoria. Quiet enough to converse - while enjoying superb entrees & wine. Friendly and knowledgeable server helped guide our choices. We'll definitely be back.
Visitors from Ontario. Really enjoyed our evening. Service and food was exceptional.
Simply delicious! Fresh ingredients prepared and cooked to perfection! Every time! That’s what makes a great restaurant.
Anniversary- our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and all drinks- we enjoyed the outside as was quiet. This was an incredible evening. Top marks for everyone!!
We were a table of four. We started with sharing two starters that were delicious. We each had a different main. Halibut, lamb, steak and the daily special. Each were beautifully presented and the flavors were incredible. Server was helpful and attentive. We came early on a Tuesday evening and we're able to sit outside on the patio. Would highly recommend.
Incredible dinner. Service was knowledgeable and thoughtful and every dish was excellent. I highly recommend anyone to visit Waterfront when in Kelowna. You won’t be disappointed.
Food was amazing and our server was fantastic. The only issue we had was with another server who was standing beside our table telling other customers we were leaving shortly when we hadn’t even finished our dessert or the bottle of wine we ordered.
Great food and service, as always !!
This was our second visit to Waterfront Wines (the first, in April 2019, was wonderful.). Our experience this visit was indifferent, at best. Service was ‘okay’ - generally prompt but no effort was made to help our party of four feel special. And the table was also ‘okay’ - high traffic area so we felt a bit exposed to the hustle of the wait staff. Food was a bit of a disappointment- my spouse and I both had the lamb - flavourful but it had been rested too long - the fat bits, often so yummy, were congealed hard fat and were totally off-putting. Our companions both had duck and while cooked to the proper degree of doneness the skin was totally soggy. The most disappointing part of the evening was an unfortunate incident at the beginning of the evening: one of our companions unfolded her napkin to find a live black centipede in it (yuck!). When brought to the attention of the wait staff their reaction was puzzlingly indifferent- they whisked the napkin away but virtually pretended it didn’t happen. No real apology, no visit from a manager, no discount or reparation of any kind. I would have expected a bit more from an establishment at this price point and that we had previously had such a great experience at. As a result, they have lost our future business. Many other great choices in Kelowna!
We had out-of-town guests, and wanted to treat ourselves to a fabulous meal. Waterfront Wines you exceeded our expectations.
