Watermark Restaurant - Niagara Falls Ratings and Reviews
Our server...i think his name was Kevin?? Excellent, he was attentive and personable. Very much enjoyed our dinner.
I have stayed at this hotel many times and disappointed that it was my first time at the Watermark restaurant. Everything was fabulous, food ambiance etc. One thing I would recommend though is... if you are acknowledging that we are there for a special occasion (in my case my husbands birthday) it would have been nice to see that either a card at the table or a very small desert or just something saying Happy Birthday. Just a thought that would definitely make an impact.
Did get my appetizer and still was charged for it as it was a prix fix meal
The view was spectacular. Food was delicious. Highly recommend it.
The food was lovely, great ambience and we sat right next to the window with a very pretty view. Drinks were a little on the pricey side, and I ordered a 2nd round of the martini I was drinking and was given a conpletely different dribk the 2nd time. It was still a very tastey drink but not what I was originally drinking lol.
Overall really good experience and they brought me chocolate creme brule for dessert for my birthday and it was soo Good! :)
The ambiance is stunning and the service was perfect. The food however left a lot to be desired. I ordered the one plant-based option and it looked like canned chilli. I expected much better for the price.
A bit overpriced for the food and wine list. Definitely paying for the view.
Second visit and was just as impressed this time. Server was attentive and nowledgeble . Food was amazing. Cooked to our request and so delicious and we love the whole ambiance of the Watermark. Can t wait to return
I guess it wasn't a total loss!
I'll make it short and straight to the point!
Great view, 2 of the appetizers and wine were good. And I'm glad at least we had that, because otherwise it would have been a complete loss.
Mushroom soup and calamari were phenomenal. Escargot was meh, bland and not tasty at all and the rest of the meal was just terrible!
Risotto, was NOT risotto but instead mushy overcooked rice, shrimp on it was bland, we ate 2 of the 3 to say we did. Chicken supreme was not too bad but the sauce and mashed under it was not appetizing at all.
Waitress came to take our plates and took absolute no interest in finding out why 3/4 of our food or more was still on our plates, maybe she already knew what we were going to say and thought it was best to avoid the answer by not asking?!
$55/pp for an appetizer each, which is all that was acceptable to eat is a bit much for most people's price. Then you are hit with the ridiculous bill and you feel even worse about your choice, plus tipping and the ridiculous "tourist tax". We felt like we'd been robbed.
Upon leaving you stand right in front of the "check in" desk and the girls were just too busy chatting away to thank the people leaving, us included.
Saw the manager a few times going to a couple tables, not once did she come to ours or to the tables in our close proximity. I suppose picking and choosing which to great?
The view was great with "mood" music and sufficient without the belting out of the gentleman singing.
Very disappointing, will not go back or recommend it at all.
The food was excellent.
Date night dinner, service was good, seat & view were excellent. The wine we ordered was very nice, the appetizers were excellent. I had the duck and it was excellent, my wife had the NY steak and it was OK, not the best, but not the worst. However, we both opted for the lobster tail (not included in the meal package), (and no price was indicated), but thought that since this was a special occasion we would enjoy it. This was not the case, we probably both should have sent the lobster back, it looked perfect, but was exceptionally tough and stringy and neither of us particularly enjoyed it, especially at an additional price of $19.95 per tail.
I would not rush back at this point, at least not without carefully considering the menu options.
It was wonderful
Excellent meal and great view. A little rushed with the courses coming to us.
However our servers were very pleasant and were kept very busy through the time we were there.
Look forward to coming back in the future.
Menu selection was great (3 course or 5 course offering). We made reservation and scored romantic table for 2 along the window with a great view of the night illumination of the falls.
We enjoyed the complete dinning experience and a fabulous view of both falls !! and our waitress was very attentive but not intrusive. We are already making plans to return !!
Escargot starter was simply ok not the best. Seared scallops would have been excellent with a touch less of salt. Chicken in chicken entree had no real flavors, menu did not indicate it was breaded and waiter stated it was pan seared which it did not seem like it with breading.
Great location and view of both Falls; service was excellent as usual. Food was good same basic menu with a slight modification removing some good features. Main dish was not hot, barely warm and cooled quickly so by the time I had three bites it wasn’t even warm. Disappointing. Parking on arrival wasn’t great but with the construction going on it made the garage a backed up mess of vehicles and we were waiting on young valet attendants that seemed a bit overwhelmed. Exiting the garage when the valet brought the car was confusing as nobody told me where to exit due to the construction closure of the main driveway. This was a dinner with visiting family from Australia; she loved the views and the restaurant. Thanks for a nice evening.
The view was great. The service was great.
Dinner - The food itself was lacking in presentation and flavor.
Breakfast buffet - pretty good selection with hot and cold foods.
Was very nice place, the waiter was great!! The price for the food was very very expensive!!! Didn’t think it was worth the price for the food!! The drinks were also super expensive!!!!! So great place if you don’t mind spending a lot of money on your meal and drinks! But for the price I wouldn’t go back.
We booked a little staycation in Niagara and decided to try Watermark. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere, service and food were wonderful.
Great view of the falls with a meal which went well with the ambiance. Food was enjoyable and friendly service
Excellent food, great view of the Falls and the Service was Outstanding!! Nick was our waiter and he was great!!
The food was so great and we ate so much they pretty much had to roll us out the door afterwards! Outstanding view of the falls. Great service. Steaks were expertly cooked. Overall, we were very happy with our meal and experience.
Outstanding view of Niagara Falls, wonderful service, delicious food. One of the most memorable New Year’s Eve dinners we have ever had.
My carrot cake cost $14 and tasted like the kids from Schriner's Hospital were on Chopped Jr and the kid with no arms made a carrot cake with his feet. My squash soup was sweet when it should have been savory. Take a good look at the menu. Taste the food. Get some help and some new recipes.
Highly recommend going on a Friday evening around 9pm so you can see the fireworks. Really amazing vantage point to see them from.
Amazing restaurant as always. Been going there for 15 years, and have never been disappointed yet. I highly recommend it to everyone I know.
The View of the falls makes this restaurant. The service was great but the food was not prepared well. Ordered the 10oz Steak and they came out cold and over cooked for our Med. Rare order. we sent them back and they brought us very rare steaks that we did not finish. The appetizers and salad were good but the scallops were under cooked. The service and the View made up for this and we still had a great night. It was nice of them to offer us a free dessert to make up for the mis-steak. Would recommend to friends but avoid the steak.
Could not have asked for a better view of the falls! Excellent service! Really liked the price fix menu for 3 courses. Great night out - will definitely be back!
I had a good experience overall at Watermark Restaurant. For the future, I hope Hilton informs T.I.fee (additional 7.9% fee for Tourism Improvement) when booking the venue. I did not expect the additional fee more than single time.
We had dinner here on Christmas Day. It was a nice ambiance with a window table overlooking the Falls. Our server didn't really explain how the menu worked. You could choose 3 or 5 which we thought included the sides. We chose A starter, main, sides and desert thinking that was 5. When we got the bill it showed 2 3 course meals plus extra for sides. A little confusing.
I had the salmon which was a little bland. my husband had the lamb, recommended by our server. We were a bIt disappointed in the experience
Good food with good service.
Good for the money as well.
Tasty meals, very good service, very good view on Casino and Falls
This was our 4th visit to the Watermark and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The wait staff were professional, accommodating and the evening was magical with the lights and the view of the falls.
Everything was perfect. It was a cozy place to eat, drink and get a great view of Niagra Falls and the city. The food was excellent and the service was great and super friendly. My boyfriend and I loved every aspect of it.
When party ordered 5 choices option it was disappointing that some choices were brought out before finishing one. When dining in this ambiance you would like the dining experience to be staged better.
We had a great table with a view but unfortunately two large groups next to us so it was loud and difficult hearing our tables conversation at times.
I celebrated my 33rd Birthday at the Watermark. The customer service was an A+. Our waiter was helpful with our drunk selections and the food was yummy. We had a very beautiful view of the Waterfalls and fireworks. Wonderful night with friends!!
Our waitress was unpleasant and arrogant. She had a bad additude. It was our wedding day dinner and my husband did not want to leave her a tip. I said we have to leave something so I think he left her 10.00 on a 190.00 bill. We also did not let her spoil our evening and ignored her presence the best we could.
Appetizers were very good however the main course was awful. Steak was not cooked how we ordered and was tough and full of veins. Chicken was very bland. No flavor at all same with veggies and mash potatoes.
This restaurant is wonderful , atmosphere is quiet and
Service is top notch
