Whiskey Cake is an award winning farm-to-table restaurant, offering signature New American comfort food with a farm-to-fork mission. The approachable menu locally sources as much as possible and will feature innovative appetizers, slow-cooked meats and freshly caught fish, along with the infamous whiskey cake for dessert.

    No wait time if you have a reservation. That’s a plus! However, the food took a very long time (close to an hour to get). Other than that I would have rated a 5 star because the food was good. Could have been hotter if it was fresh. Maybe some entrees waited a bit before actually bringing the food.

    It was our first “date night” here and we did not know what to expect. We made reservations on the off-chance it would be crowded, and were happy we did. From the moment we checked in till the moment we left we felt cared for but not hurried or smothered. Our waiter was outstanding! The food was some of the best we’ve had in San Antonio and the drinks were as advertised. The overall experience was nothing less than extraordinary. We WILL be back.

    Our second dining experience. Both were good. Especially enjoyed the Sunday brunch menu. We will definitely return. Special thanks to our server, Shelby! Definitely suggest that you make a reservation.

    The bench seats for the table tops, the cushions slope down, giving the feeling that you’re going to slide right of the seat. Very annoying to have to readjust yourself 100 times. But still enjoy our visits to the WC!

    Great place to eat and hang out. Food and drinks were good but the placed was packed so the noise level was high! However, they did a decent job getting out the drinks and food in a timely fashion!
