We arrived and found the restaurant not what we expected. We had made a reservation but we were not greeted accordingly. Instead there was a sign ‘seat yourself’ with a menu left open beside it. We stood there for awhile but were ignored. Suddenly it did not give off the vibe of the website and felt rather disappointing. We went somewhere else.

Our experience want bad, but it didn’t meet expectations. We expected more of a fine dining experience, and while the food was ok, it nodding “wow”, which was surprising given the interesting menu. Our server was friendly enough, but never refilled our waters, and I had to flag her down for the bill. Five of us ate for $137+tip. I expect more for that price.

PARKING IS NOT INCLUDED, EVEN THOUGH IT SAYS IT IS AS OF THE TIME IF THIS POST. I reported to open table. The worst was how the restaurant and hotel staff handled it, even though I had it in writing. This place does not know anything about good customer service. Avoid.

The parking details on the reservation website state that parking will be reimbursed if the receipt is presented to the server. The server stated that was no longer the restaurant protocol. I chose this downtown restaurant in part because of this added benefit for my invited guests. At the time, I did not persue this further because this sort of negative interaction ruins the spirit of what is supposed to be an enjoyable evening out. Our party of six ordered meals and drinks so the bills were not minimal. If reimbursed parking was not part of the marketing, I still would have chosen this restaurant. However, the false advertising created a bad vibe, and I will not be in a hurry to return for that reason alone.

Firstly there is no signpost so finding it was a guessing game as it is within the DoubleTree hotel. On entering its setting doesn’t look organized with no seating service, and all the staff scurrying around busy. Overall the meal came in good time and great presentation. However the steak was not the tastiest and a bit stale but I would return and try a different meal

Loved the food and atmosphere. Because of the long weekend and the time of day I was there, we had the place almost all to ourselves so it was very quiet. Our server was awesome.

The service was awful. We had a reservation for 12 - they put us at two different tables. The service was awful. The waiter once he took our drink order -which we had to ask him if we could order drinks - could not remember who go what drink. Had to get up and go to the bar and ask for service to get a second drink. Our food order again he had to ask where each meal went? I would think any waiter should either know how to write the orders down so they know where they are going or remember who ordered what. The restaurant was far from busy. We were seated right by the entrance to the restaurant which means we were basically in the lobby of the hotel. People coming and going from elevators within feet of our table.

The service was excellent. The atmosphere and the restaurant were beautiful. My biggest complaint is the food. Most of it was wonderful, don't get me wrong, but we had to order multiple things until we got to one they actually had the ingredients for. Two different cocktails they couldn't make. The mushroom Appy they couldn't make. The first entree I ordered they couldn't make. The meal I ended up with was good, but the chicken was slightly overcooked and dry. I will probably try again because it was a good experience, but there was a lot of stuff missing from the experience as well

We called and booked online to ensure our table is setup and we are expected. When we arrived at 12PM the waitress had no clue who we were and that we have a reservation and pointed to some random open tables in the back of the restaurant and told us to sit there. We booked in advance to not have to sit on three separate tables.

I had used the online booking tool to reserve the high table. They had given it away to another table. One person did not get their meal and had to wait. The crust on their pizza was charred as I’m assuming it was rushed through on broil. No compensation or apology was given. Staff was slow to provide bills and additional beverages

The buffet is going downhill every time we go there. There is less food to choose from from one reservation to the next and the price is quite expensive for what we get. The omelette chef didn’t appear to know how to make omelettes and his English was not good. All of our omelettes were runny eggs in the middle. Our waitress went to him to make us new ones. The second time he fried them all like pancakes. Didn’t add cheese and not folded in half with meat and veggies in the middle.

Much more than we expected from a "Hotel" restaurant. Service was great from the waitress to the bar staff. Food was excellent, well worth the value. This was the best meal we had while we were in town for 3 days, would definitely return here.

Mother's Day brunch. Was terrific food and service. Food was a little cold for my taste but that is to be expected given the volume they were churning out. Only blemish - A staff member (who wasn't working but was there w her family) rudely approached my children who were sitting at the lobby computer desk and gave them crap for sitting there and potentially "wrecking everything". We told her that the server said they could sit there and play, she said that doesn't matter and that she was "... a staff member too". Of course I didn't catch her name, but she was about 30 with dyed pink / blonde hair shoulder length in a pony tail with cheap looking tattoos (of course she has tattoos. Who doesn't these days?). We didn't appreciate her interjecting in our brunch, especially when our children were being quiet and very well behaved. Her children on the other hand were far more unruly and loud (for what it's worth). Like I said - the only blemish.

We went for the Saturday brunch buffet, and it was fantastic. Our server seemed a little scrambled, but the service was certainly decent. The buffet was outstanding, especially the bacon. I strongly recommend Wild Sage for a brunch at good value for your money.

I recently took my husband here to celebrate his birthday. He ordered the butter chicken and I ordered the rib eye steak. We both really enjoyed our meal....probably the best steak I have had in years!! A noisy table was sat next to us right after we were seated, but the waitress graciously moved us to a quieter spot upon request. Our service was also very good throughout! She brought him a lovely chocolate lava cake with a Happy Birthday piped onto the dish which was a nice touch. We had never eaten in the Wild Sage before ( although I have attended and held several events at the Hilton and enjoyed the food immensely every time)...so that is what prompted me to forego the usual choice of the Keg or Diplomat or Golfs, and try somewhere "new" for his special birthday. We will definitely eat here again.....and soon!!

Dinner: Vegetarian options could be increased please. Other than salads ( which some had meat eg: bacon in Caesar) , lentils were the only option. Typical diners had good options - Convenient choice for hotel guests for dinner. Breakfast: was terrific- excellent variety, service and taste!!

I had the kung pao, there was too much sauce, and was vinegary. The Dina noodles were skinny and should of been fatter. A friend had the bibimbap, it didn’t have a lot of flavour. The fish special and the ribs were fine.

We arrived for our reservation on time and it took them 15 minutes to put a table together for us. They made it a table for 6 when we were 7 so we had to squish in until they brought another table. The waitress I felt rushed us through the menu and did not take our drink order. Both my sister and I had to ask twice for tea and water. She did not come to check how the food was, ever. My father's eggs were so overdone he couldn't eat them and they changed the number of pancakes given without changing the menu to reflect this. They were also quite dry though they apparently came with syrup. Nice atmosphere but otherwise not a great experience. We will not be returning.

A group of 6 when out for the Fathers Day Brunch, used Open Table to book the reservation for 10AM, we arrived and about 10:30 we went up to the buffet, was not very well stocked. Waitress stopped by around 10:45 to inform us the buffet was closing so they could set up for a Father's Day Brunch. At 11AM we went back in to see the buffet and it was better with more items however we had already eaten so no one was that hungry. We did grab some deserts and when we checked out the bill was for the full buffet @$25. Not real happy as the waitress should have told us this and we would have waited until 11AM and enjoyed ourselves more. On the app when booking it could have also mentioned this so a total breakdown in communication between all parties involved.

New menu since last time we were there...fried won ton with fruit salsa was really good (not greasy), ribs were fall off the bone, steak (of the steak frites was cooked perfectly) but not wild about the plating. Service was strong and all the desserts ordered were quite good!

We each had steak, one prime rib, one New York, both cooked the way we wanted. The veggies were hot but not much of them. Good portion of mashed potato. The waitress was attentive without being bothersome. Add a before dinner drink, and one dessert, and an overall good experience was had, for just under 90 dollars.
