The place was busy and noisy. We waited close to an hour before appetizers arrived at our table. The striploin was tasty but quite chewy. Ordered it medium rare but it was medium. Risotto was overpriced, soupy and tasteless. But no one seemed to care. No one asked how the food was, even when the risotto was only half eaten.

We enjoyed the steaks we had in January; however, the beef ribs we ordered Saturday were fatty.

Server was lovely, but wait times despite reservations, seated at table with draft by from the door, and food was mediocre (steak chewy, corn meal on basa was not crisp, veg were overdone- garlic potatoes were nice though). Ambience was nice in the dining area. I wouldn’t recommend Wildfire to a friend because the quality of food wasn’t worth the price point- it tasted like any other average chain restaurant that costs around $15-18 per main. Much better steaks at other places, and if going to a chain steakhouse I would choose the Keg over Wildfire any day.

Our experience at this restaurant was terrible! I asked for a ‘well’ done steak and to ensure it was cooked throughout, I requested the fillet mignon be butterflied. When it arrived to the table, it was not butterflied and when I cut into it, blood came pouring out. I sat there while everyone else ate slowly so that I wouldn’t be eating alone. My sisters steak was also undercooked, but not enough that she couldn’t eat it, but she found it to be extremely fatty, leaving more than 1/2 of the steak on her plate. Overall the food was cold, undercooked and it took four attempts to get the salt, HP sauce, ketchup, horseradish and the order of mushrooms we ordered to the table. All of which arrived when our dinners were basically done. Three out of the four of us suffered terrible stomach cramps later on in the evening; running back and forth to the washroom all night. We would never return to this restaurant and would never recommend it. Very disappointing!!!

My wife and I made our first trip to Wildfire last week. It came recommended and it did not disappoint. I have eaten in top notch steak houses all over North America and I have to say the flavour of the steaks were probably the best I have ever had and that includes some pricey places.

If you are a steak fan you must check it out.

Good hospitality. Nice ambience. Healthy food options - gluten free, veggie, vegan. Good quality wine and beer selections. This restaurant is on the pricy side so not a place you will go to regularly but if you feel like good food, and good service on those special occasions this restaurant is a great option.

Signature salad fell short of past signature salads...very little or no goat cheese! Menu said seafood pasta with cherry tomatoes suggesting tomato base but I got fettucini which is not a fave of mine. I also received an email from Open Table for the second time that I was a no-show?! I have a receipt for $235.80 to prove I was there!

Not impressed with the fixed menu and 18% gratuity! Needed to be clearer on Open Table.

Wonderful meal steak was cooked perfectly, wish the vegetables were a little more firm a little overcooked. Our waitress Kiana was the best server we have had in decades, loved this gal she made the experience.

I love this restaurant. I wish it was larger in size. Our server Lindsay is fantastic...I always ask for her.. Wildfire has The Keg beat hands over....

I have also gone to the location on Yonge Street in Toronto which is nicer atmosphere.

I love the ceasar salad presentation and the sirloin steak is cooked to perfection. Our server Justin was the best, attentive, did not rush us and very friendly. Will be back even after Whitbylicious.

I love this place. However, it was very busy for my wedding anniversary dinner. My husband and I wanted something tucked away with a bit of ambience. I added a note but we were seated in the middle of a busy room.

Probably wont book again unless I'm going with a 'crowd' of people.

There is nothing more I would recommend or change (no live sports, there are enough of that already and it is nice to be in a place that doesn't have it). Everything was just perfect. Perhaps the nicest restaurant I have been to for a long time.

We went for the winterlicious special so the place was packed. Service was lagging and the food took forever. We arrived to the restaurant at 7pm and left at 9pm. I got the spinach salad and I couldn’t eat it because it wasn’t fresh. The flaxbourne sauvignon blanc was the best part of my meal- highly recommended. As for my steak... it was okay...the mash potatoes were cold. Our server offered us dessert and we thought it we part of the dinner special. They ended up charging us 10$ for a slice of cake which tasted like Costco dessert. Not impressed with that sneaky approach. Lastly, it was loud. I ended up yelling most of the night since the person in front of me couldn’t hear a thing I was saying. Overall, I feel that they are trying to mimic the keg and it’s not the same experience. Probably won’t come here again.

Wildfire has good food and service, the price is high for having a diner type ambiance, very noisy. We were right next to the door so we were cold. They have NO booths ...just didn't like it and with high price on top of that doubt i will go back

Excellent service and very good food. Ambiance is poor. The high prices in this restaurant dictate that the table layout should be more private and cozy with a lower noise level.

We purchased what we thought we gift cards from Costco only to be told we couldn't use them during the promotion.
On the certificates it said no restrictions.
Wait staff was excellent and explained it was a management decision not to accept the cash cards.
Food was good and waiters were efficient and friendly.
Not sure if we will return.

First time at Wildfire. Wasn't impressed, especially considering the price (almost double the amount for four compared to the Keg). Steak was good, had the filet, everything else was just ok or bad. Beef short ribs were tuff and fatty in stead of rendered down and fall off the bone, Caesar salad was bulky and hard to eat (served as a halved intact head of lettuce, but was way too big and awkward), and veggies were uneatable (over sautéed with loads of garlic, some of which was still raw. Nobody at the table ended up eating them). Service was friendly and accommodating though. Could be the chef or just location, poor execution, but I won't be going back to the Oshawa restaurant again.

Unfortunately I didn't catch our waitresses name but she was such a sweet girl who accommodated my boyfriend and I 100% ! Made sure we had everything we needed and even offered my boyfriend a complimentary dessert for his birthday. The food was fantastic and we were seated in a location with the perfect amount of privacy! Will be back again!

My fiance and I had such a wonderful time and experience at wild fire. It was our first time and the service was above and beyond. We really want to thank Melissa for her great hospitality and was very welcoming. We would totally come back and hopefully have her as our waitress . The food was really delicious and at Melissa's suggestion tried the creme brulee . She was right , it was one of the best we have ever had ! Looking forward to come back again real soon.

We were a bit apprehensive about this place given it's location in a strip mall in Oshawa, but are very happy we took the chance. The place has a very nice, upsckale atmosphere, the service was terrific, and the food was amazing. My wife and I both had steak, me the strip loin, and my wife the blue cheese filet. Each was cooked to perfection. It's a bit pricey, but certainly not out of line for a treat once in a while. Will definitely go back!

My wife and I decided to tone down New Years eve this year by going for dinner without family, making it an intimate event. Upon entering the restaurant and being seated we were aware of a cafeteria like clatter. This was gone in a matter of minutes when a rather large party of 12 or so people left.
Our server was Melissa N. She made our experience much more enjoyable with her knowledge, her easy going nature and her willingness to appease our whims. She was engaging , affable, efficient and even took a few moments to share her puppy pics as we did likewise. She made us feel like we were the only couple in the restaurant. Our meals were tasty and well represented. The drinks were good size and pretty good value considering the holiday evening. My wife commented on the music for the evening which created a very intimate ambience, with the likes of Sinatra,Bennett,Buble, Glenn Miller...
We will be returning to Wildfire in the near future to further assess its qualities as that of a fine dining restaurant
