Very confused, after reading the reviews we were expecting a fantastic steak dinner. I’m not sure if it was because we were there early in the evening but the food was not great. Crab cakes looked to be grocery store bought and the shrimp for shrimp cocktail were not very big. Steaks were both undercooked. My husbands $50 porterhouse steak was cooked half med and the other half was rare. Mine was rare almost blue. The rosemary roasted potatoes were obviously from the day before and reheated. They were dry and deflated looking didn’t eat them. Husbands garlic mashed potatoes also dry. Kids menu you pay for drinks, dinner and dessert separately. No one asked my boys if they wanted drink refills. Will never go back.

My girlfriends brought me here for my birthday. I have celiac so restaurant dining can be a challenge. There were lots of options. Server was knowledgeable. Food was excellent. It is a little on the pricey side.

After driving past the restaurant many times, I went to Wildfire Steakhouse on a Saturday night with my husband, two kids (5 year old twins) and my parents. Restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere. It is a large space that has been split into many smaller ones which makes it cozy. I enjoyed the food, wine and found the service to be really good and attentive. It is a higher end restaurant with good quality food. I also like that you are able to make a reservation. There is a kids menu, but I think next time I will leave the kids at home as it is a bit too nice of a restaurant for young children.

First time at wild fire. Nice restaurant. Can’t help compare to the keg, and it comes up a bit short. Apps a little expensive, and no extras like bread or salad. Overall a good meal at fair price, in a nice restaurant. Get the coupon at Costco for an even better deal.

The food was truly fantastic & the Cesar was the very best I have ever tasted. Wildfire is located central to both Whitby & Oshawa. The on line reservations also great with no issues at all, The staff were very attentive and thoughtful.
Truly an Awesome dining experience!

First time at the restaurant, will return again. Everything was very good, although brussel sprouts could have been cooked a little more, some were so hard a fork couldn't pierce the half brussel sprout. Only other suggestion would be to reduce the amount salt/seasoning.

Good steak, I had the new York strip 12 oz. Really expensive beer compared to other bars..8 dollars for a 16oz pint. Service was great, they filled my water about 10 times which i greatly appreciated. Give this place a try, its a great alternative to the keg. You can also reserve your table online which is what we did , which is a really cool feature.

Food was very good, with a good variety of options! The service was also very good. Although the food and service was good the value for the money was a little off. I am willing to splurge when it comes to great food, but it has to be really great. I wasn't convinced it was quite worth the price. Overall we had a good time and did enjoy the wine, food and service.

Staff attentive and friendly and noted special occasion. Food rating would be Okay but based on price should be excellent. Steak was very over salty and was cooked to specification. Steak was more a prime rib cut than rib eye as on menu. Wife’s lamb was very good and properly cooked and presented. Overall enjoyable evening and would attend again.

I can summarize as follows:

- arrived at 715pm, table of 8
- took 45 mins to get a drInk, wine was wrong when it came out
- took an hour to get apps
- two hours in we got the main dishes
- friends steak was cooked as rare instead of medium, we were told that poor lighting in the kitchen was to blame
- bill arrived, I tipped and paid only to be told afterwards that 18% had already been added

I think that's all that needs to be said

Food was very good. But overpriced. Waited after being seated to be greeted by waiter. If all 4 menus that the hostess has given the customer are closed on the table, perhaps a waiter should come by. Our main course was delivered to the table beside us, then quickly picked up and brought to our table. This should be a big no-no for a restaurant. As stated our food was very good but no one came by to ask if everything was ok or to our liking. I found this very strange. Even my local breakfast diner asks me if my food it ok. Wine selection was very good, but overpriced. This location is not ideal for an intimate meal. Because of the openess of the restaurant it was very loud with everyone's conversations.

Took an hour to get our appetizers, only four other tables and another 30mins for our mains. The grilled calamari was overcooked and rubbery, the basa was ridiculously small and had been sitting under a heat lamp forever, and the pesto sauce had way too much basil. Completely overpriced.
Waiter was attentive and friendly - no complaints about him.

Excellent service. My steak was undercooked-/ they did take it back and cooked it longer. Prices are high for what you get--no bread even ?? Brussels sprouts--ick. Nice ambiance but very loud. I still think I prefer the Keg.

Excellent food and great service. However the restaurant is very noisy no use of sound absorbing materials any where. And for $350 for 4 people the table top was lose and wobbly. Not good. Over all good experience. If your looking for a quite place this is not it.

Excellent service including a visit from the managing partner, great martinis to start, delicious food and wine, and a nice touch - complementary desserts - for our special occasion (anniversary), all added up to make this worth the drive from Peterbrough area. The only drawback (and this is minor, you've seen it in other reviews) is that with the glass windows down two sides and glass cabinets for your incredible wine storage system you have a lot of sound bouncing around with no deadening and that makes it a little loud in the main room. Consider at least adding sound absorbing insulation to the ceiling during the next reno.
We definitely have you on our list for a return visit!

Nice place on par with the Keg, food quality wise. A little on the pricy side. Overall nice ambiance.
Our server was good. Was attentive but not annoyingly. We asked him to recommend a wine to complement the salmon. It was found to be too strong flavoured. He replaced it immediately. Brought a sample to try beforehand.

We enjoyed our evening this weekend. The food was very good and our server was also very good. When we arrived our table was ready for us which was great. My only critique is that it is very noisy. They don't have any sound damping surfaces which is desperately needed. For that reason I would not recommend it for a romantic dinner. We had a table for four and had to be constantly asking our friends to repeat what they were saying and they were doing the same. If they could fix that issue we would go back, small fix that would enhance the experience.

Second time at Wildfire and it never disappoints. Had the Lobster tail which was delicious and the shrimp cocktail to start. The side order of mushrooms are a must!! So good! Great cocktails! I had a red Sangria and it was very good. Service is always top notch and love the vibe. Will be returning again! Definitely a hidden gem in Oshawa

Dined at the Wildfire for a birthday supper. The waiter was excellent, very helpful, we were certainly not pushed for time and we had a nice leisurely supper. The fillet was cooked well and juicy (rare) and although a little stringy tasted great. I had mentioned that it was my birthday and the dessert cake showed up with a sparkler to mark the occasion. Another nice touch was a birthday card from the staff. We will certainly return for another upscale meal occasion.

Appetizers were very good. The calamari was nice and crispy, not chewy. The escargot was delicious and complimented the bread provided with it.
We ordered the Rib eye 20oz steak which was cooked to our liking and the mushroom risotto was heavenly with the right touch of truffle oil in it.
Will definitely go back with the family. Would like to see them add a dry aged steak option on their menu in the near future.
