The restaurant was pretty quiet when went. It was only our table and another table on the other side of the restaurant. The maître d' was also our server. He was friendly and knowledgeable with the menu.
They have a different menu at the restaurant than what was available on their website so that threw us off a little bit. Anyhow, the food was delicious! The menu was more on the pricey side though. Portions were good and filling.
This was a historical favorite for my wife and I. Under new ownership we were nothing but disappointed in all aspects. The restaurant is in need of a good cleaning, there are multiple bulbs burnt out in various chandeliers, the bathroom was... an adventure. The food - where to begin on the food... I had the gnocchi to start and my previous favorite the bison rib eye for a main. The gnocchi was stodgy, under cooked and over salted, I'm also pretty sure that it contained frozen peas. The bread, previously a canada wide winner, was obviously freezer burnt and reheated. The ribeye was singed, overcooked in general, thin and for $40+ completely unacceptable. To top it all off we had a gift card with which to pay half of the $300+ bill for 4, we used the $150 against the card and I paid the remainder by machine. I tipped half on the machine and half with cash on the table - the waiter had the gall to stop me on the way out and ask me if I'd tipped on the wrong amount as it was too low.
Never go here.
The food was great although the lunch menu was very limited. There was alao no soup available hence the 4-star.

It was after the lunch rush, so it was very quiet as well.
We were one of two parties seated on a Saturday night. Waiter was condescending, seats were ripped, tables and floors were dirty. Multiple COCKROACHES seen in the bathroom just steps away from the kitchen. Food was overpriced. Wildflower used to be one of our favourite restaurants in the city but after our last visit we will never come back again.
Great food, owner was super nice! Bison or duck is fantastic!!
Menu is small but tasty - something for everyone and easy options for sharing. Would definitely recommend.
Unfortunately I was disappointed. The menu has recently changed and the product has diminished , though the cost has not. The service was as sub par. Will be coming off my go-to list
My husband and I recently returned to the Wildflower Grill for a belated Valentine's Day dinner. This restaurant has long been one of our go tos for a nice evening out and this time was no exception. The service and ambience were excellent and our meal was delicious. The only dish I was disappointed with was the braised short rib (it tasted a bit overdone) but everything else more than made up for it. Our fabulous desserts were the perfect end to our meal. We can't wait to come back!

The Wildflower Grill used to be an amazing place to eat. Now it's just a café / diner with okay run of the mill food. I was very disappointed.
Get a better cook. Must have been a cook because a good chef would never serve the meal I had.
Made reservations well in advance were put at a table by the window which was cold and crowded even though not busy.
Menu was nothing like what was on website. Claim due to Valentine's day.
Really what kind of quality restaurant does that to it's customer. It's not like it's their first year in service.

Food was great. Portions are a little smalll but taste is amazing. Service could have been better. We were standing at the front for nearly 5 mins before anyone even acknowledged us. Once we sat down we were given menus on a piece of paper and one of the “menu” had a stain on it. Once we got our food the waiter brought us the wrong order that was meant for another table. I don’t completely blame him as he was only one of two waiters, however they should be properly staffed for a Friday night. They were also out of quite a few drinks and food items.

We used to go to wildflower all the time. It was classy, exciting with amazing food. I used to order a tenderloin blue rare, and it was cooked to perfection. The wine selection was amazing. The service was second to none.
We went back for Valentines day. The restaurant was not busy. I asked to sit at a larger table and i was told we could as long as we leave by 7. When we left at 7, there was plenty of room in the restaurant.
Service: there was one manager, one server, one chef, and one sous chef. Our service was not very good. The menus we received were paper with wine stains on them.
Food:Wildflower used to serve fresh baked bread. The bread we had was stale. I ordered a ribeye steak. The meat was tough and i did not finish it. The sever did not ask me why i did not finish it.
Unfortunately, the wildflower restaurant is a far cry from what it used to be.
My girlfriend and I went here for Valentines Day, as we were staying in the hotel that is connected to Wildflower Grill. We had researched the menu and were looking forward to trying what they had to offer. However, when we got there, they had a Valentines menu that was very limited and did not include any of the options we had in mind. I was not made aware of this when i had booked my reservation. The value was poor for what we paid and the service was far below what we expected. I don’t think we’ll be back to try the rest of the menu.
We came on a Thursday evening for date night and my bf and I both had the bison steak dinner and it was absolutely delicious and a generous portion, compliments to the Chef. Overall the place was good not great, service quality was okay - the servers were pleasant and very accommodating to requests, but just took a long time to get seated, or get offered drinks or refills. Note that parking is at your own cost and not complimentary like other downtown restaurants, but surely the food is worth the visit for a special evening/celebration. Price point we thought was reasonable, affordable, and not overpriced for the quality of food they offer. We will definitely come back to try other items on the menu.
Food was good but have honestly had better food for far less in many other restaurants around the city. Our server was mediocre, didn't check in with us barely spoke to us to be honest. Another server that wasn't assigned to our table was more attentive and friendly towards us than our own.
We made reservations for Valentines day as this was listed as a top restaurant in the city. Going in with high hopes and looking at the menu previously, we were excited! Arriving we were told that you can only choose from 2 appetizers, 2 mains and 2 desserts. The food was below sub par. Like if your menu has only 2 appetizers, then it should be spectacular. $90 for 1 appetizer, 1, main and 1 dessert? VERY VERY VERY over priced. Definitely do not recommend at all. Save your money!!!
Long story short, the establishment fooled us into believing that on Valentines Day they were offering their standard menu along with the "special Valentines Day" 5 course option. You can imagine the disappointment my wife and I felt when this was not true. Seeing as we were not interested in spending $100 each for a meal that was not appealing to us, we had to get up and leave, on Valentine's Day, and try to find somewhere else to eat that wasn't 100% booked. Judging by the almost empty venue, I imagine we weren't the only ones who were duped. My wife and I roll with the punches pretty good, but we wanted to warn any others that may plan to eat here.
All four of us had a great meal and really enjoyed our experience. The server was great and the restaurant was nice and quiet that night.

The food was okay, we shared some appetizers and it was a hit or miss. Service was okay, waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed with the amount of tables (but it didn’t look that busy...). The wine was very nice and there is a decent selection from all over the world.
Great experience will definitely be back
My wife and I hadn’t been to Wildflower for quite some time and booked dinner there as we were staying at the adjoining hotel. We don’t know when the current owners took over but we were pleased to find that the food was excellent. The menu was short but varied, which supports the philosophy of doing only a few things but do them well. Dinner was so good we went back the next evening. As it happened we were the last customers at the end of the night. Our waiter Robert, who is also an owner, sat down and had a delightful conversation with us in order to get our opinions on the scotch list. It turns out his plan is to revamp the drinks menu and turn the restaurant into a go-to place for select spirits and wine. We look forward to returning there soon to see how the evolution is going.

Loved the food! Absolutely delicious. The schnitzel with traditional German spaetzle were a taste of home. Perfect for a work lunch.
From the moment we walked in something was wrong with our reservation, I had changed it to 5 people but they still had 2 written down. Our first round of drinks came fast although It took our server around 30-40 minutes to take our food order, we wanted to leave but it was NYE and chances of getting into another restaurant would be tough. It was not busy at all at this restaurant, had it of been busy I would never write this review as I’m a server and I fully understand. The Food bells were going off but no one was going to grab the food so it was taking sometime to get to the customers. My drink had no alcohol in it, I sent it back and again it came back with none in it. I had to order a shot and pour it in myself. The food tasted great although it sat for quite some time before coming to our table.
I’ve heard such great things about this restaurant so it was really a let down especially NYE having the experience we did.

The service was weird: it was New Year’s Eve, which meant that a reservation was an absolute must. That was expected and fine. But unbeknownst to us, there was a set menu for the night. Which tripled the expected cost of our meal. We had checked the website; there was no mention of it, and when we asked the server about it, he didn’t seem to care much and said that no it wasn’t on the website. Also the coat rack should be more accessible, the debit machine should take tap, and the doors should be open a little bit early. We were the first reservation of the night, but were still surprised to be left standing outside in the cold waiting for our reservation time.
It’s a great place. One of my favourites in the city. The food and drinks are phenomenal and the service is top notch.
Delicious food and great service, seating and ambiance is dated but will return for more cocktails and food!! Creative menu that offers many flavour options.
An enjoyable meal. The lunch menu was different from usual, I'm not sure if that's a temporary change or not, but it was still very good. I might have like a larger portion size for the entree, but I suspect that for most people, the entree would be an appropriate size. There was large party that was quite noisy, usually it is much quieter, which was unfortunate, but unavoidable, particularly given the season.
The server was also the bartender and host, he was friendly but we all questioned if we got the right cocktails as they were all slightly off. So overall cocktails were slight disapointment . food was incredible and on time however one dinner order was wrong, but she ate the plate anyways. Server came back to our table many times for water and to check on us.
