    Very much enjoyed our brunch, but do feel that the overall quality and selection at Wilfred's has declined over the years (no more omlette guy, carving station, etc..) but don't get me wrong still very much enjoyed, just isn't what it used to be.

    This is a sub par breakfast buffet, for what you pay for. The hollandaise sauce is horrifically sour. The steaks that were ordered for the table were terrifyingly overcooked. The ordered food took extremely long and was underwhelming. We're were told we could have a 2hr seating for our large groun. When we arrived they told us we only had 1.5 hrs. We were also placed in a section where a bridal event was taking place later. We felt very unwelcome, as the bridal event was being setup. It was very noisy. Someone from the bridal event brought in circulation fans which not only made the guest cold but also the food. I will not return

    Eggs Benedict was a little disappointed. Toast got dried out and not enough hollandaise sauce. Also I was sad that there's no chowder as it was mentioned in the latest menu online.

    We loved the charm, atmosphere. It was quiet and elegant, fitting for a brunch at chateau Laurier.For being an upper end properly, we thought the brunch was a little on the low end side for a place like the Laurier. Carving stations would have been a great compliment to a brunch of this calibre. We found the service lacked luster. The servers only have one job, take plates when finished and check on coffee/drinks. We hardly saw our waitress, went without coffee and waited for 25 minutes to pay after we were finished. Hopefully they use this feedback to improve the food choices and the service. If the current staff has no interest in looking after customers, hire people that are interested.

    This is a place that my wife and I like. However, when comparing the selection of food presented on the cold area of the brunch between July 2023 and December 2022 (as opposed to the warm one and pastry one), my wife and I both concluded that the quality level has dropped. We hope that this will be improved in the weeks to come.

    During our visit, we got a forgetful waiter...he asked if we wanted more coffee, we said yes and never see the coffee coming and after a while he asked again, I said tea and never see coming ... Food was ok, the crepe was delicious but was sitting there long time and was a bit dry.

    This was our second visit to Wilfrid’s for breakfast. The food did not meet our expectations at all. I attempted to try the eggs Benedict and the eggs were soft boiled and not runny. The bread was difficult to cut with a knife. A lot of the items were not refilled example the beans, cheese platters. Also my husband was in line for an omelette and the chef acknowledged my husband but proceeded to serve the next customer. My husband waited patiently and when the chef realized his mistake he said he would make his omelette and bring it to the table. My husband returned to our table waited 15 minutes and then went back to the omelette station. His omelette was made but sitting on the counter. He could not eat it as it was cold and the breakfast was over. Very disappointing especially on Father’s Day. We spent a lot of money to celebrate Father’s Day and not to the standard of our first visit.

    Fruit limited. Just melon & pineapple. No strawberries, grapes etc No bread , only croissant Jams only if asked and limited to strawberry No chefs for omelettes and eggs. Did appreciate shrimps, salmon and bacon, sausage Service inadequate but not enough personnel, same problem everywhere.

    I made a special request during booking for my husband birthday and upon arrival we didn’t know who was our waiter. Throughout the whole brunch we were barely checked up on and I waited to see whether waiter would honor my special request but they didn’t. I was quite disappointed. Food was good but some options were running out and wouldn’t be refilled right away. We weren’t cared for as I expected for a 2nd time and first time for my husband.
