Windows by Jamie Kennedy Fresh Grill & Winebar Ratings and Reviews
From the moment we stepped off the elevator we had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The view of the falls from our table was second to none.
We were very satisfied with the rich and balanced flavours of our entire meal, as well as the perfect wine pairings.
This is officially our new favourite restaurant in Niagara.
Our waitress was very helpful , knowledgeable & charming. Service was top notch , food was excellent. Portions were huge , had to save room on purpose for desert. I enjoyed being able to order 3 ounce glasses of wine so I could try several local wines in one sitting. The price fix option of $70 for any appy & entre & desert is a hell of a deal !!
Great service. Great food! My husband and I went for our 5 year wedding anniversary. My husband had the leek soup and rack of lamb. I had the mussels and cod. We both loved everything we ate!
Amazing restaurant. It was our anniversary, and we were greeted with a smile and complimentary glass of champagne. Our server, Julie, was spectacular from start to finish. She even took us to a special balcony to take some photos of us with the falls. Amazing views, food and service.
Everything was great, from the food to the service. The view of the falls at night was spectacular!
My fiancee had the mac n cheese for an entree. Which was very tasty. The scallop was cook perfectly. I went with the $70 pick any app.entree and desert. The app mussels were good , generous portion. The duck confit leg entree was amazing!! A must have. To finish off I had the lemon tart was really good. The entree prices were high but worth it
Was thinking this would be a nice fine dining restaurant but was disappointed. The view is very nice but the restaurant is situated right next to a buffet dinner restaurant and the noise and smells intermix. The dinner selection is very limited and we had the pork and beef selections which were ok but not that flavorful. We eat at many fine dining locations where the food is great... this location you pay for the view.. not the food.
I requested Steak medium rare but was Well Done
Duck leg was a bit dry too.
Not too thrilled with the food. But sercive was good.
Great anniversary! Definitely pricey. But we went on a weekday and it was dead. Which was great for ambiance!
Words cannot describe how grateful I am to the wonderful staff at this restaurant. They went above and beyond to make sure 10/29/17 was a night my new fiancee and I will never forget. They listened to me and played their roles perfect the food was fabulous and for my first time being to Canada from the U.S (which they knew right away) thier knowledge about multiple topics we discussed and ability to answer questions and be patient made us feel right at home thank you again. Jamie your team didnt have to do what they did. Not only did they do it they did it well thats what makes your restaurant stand out among the rest with excellent customer service and excellent food I will visit again on my next trip.
Food was good, but the experience was underwhelming for the expectations.
My wife and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary at Windows on 10/15/17. Everything was superb. The view. The food. The drinks. The service we received from Jessie was outstanding. Highly recommended and would certainly consider a return visit.
The Port Tenderloin was done perfectly and Matt our server was helpful and efficient.
My wife and I totally enjoyed our evening.
After reading previous reviews, the common theme is the amount of noisy children in the restaurant. Our dinner was no exception. There was a large family at the table behind us with 2 extremely disruptive kids. This didn't ruin our experience, but definitely was a factor in our experience for a romantic dinner looking over the falls. We noticed other tables visibly frustrated by this disruption, constantly looking over their shoulders at the kids' behaviour.
The food and service were outstanding. The view was spectacular. Too bad disruptive kids have to be a factor.
Absolutely delicious... but you can help feel the dining room is an after thought. Would love to see the hotel make this as unique and wonderful as the food!
We had dinner at Windows for our 30th wedding anniversary. The view of the American and Canadian Falls from our table was spectacular. Our hostess and waiter provided outstanding service and checked with us frequently but not too often. Our meals arrived within a reasonable amount of time and were delicious. This was a great dining experience.
One of the best meals I have ever had. The food was wonderful, the service excellent, and the view, overlooking Niagara Falls, is majestic. Jamie Kennedy's Windows is a superb dining experience.
Experience was good, pricey, but we went for our anniversary. My husband didn't like how our server (male) kept staring at me when talking and didn't look at him once. The view of the falls was beautiful especially in the evening when the lights are on.
Great combination of food, service and yes views of the falls. Wait staff was extremely helpful and engaged in small talk and recommendations for local wines and information about the wineries they came from.
The view of the falls is spectacular but as soon as the food arrives you will find that you are not even looking at the falls. Jamie Kennedy is best known for being a leader in the use of local ingredients movement but it is the combination of flavours that is so wonderful. Our waiter, Michael, had a superb knowledge of the flavours in each dish. The wine list includes a host of excellent local wines which, outside of this restaurant, are in very short supply. Michael also knew exactly which wine would match each dish. An outstanding experience. Thank you Jamie Kennedy and Michael!
Visited in September during our honeymoon. The service was 5 star, we were extremely well looked after and treated to a complimentary glass of bubbly to celebrate our marriage - a nice touch. The food was great and the view was simply stunning. Thank you for making our evening so enjoyable.
My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary there and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our table was right at the window overlooking both the American and Canadian Falls, the waitress was kind and professional.
First trip to the falls wanted the best possible experience and we got it. Dinner was incredible, our server was well informed, the view was breathtaking. It's a little more than we usually spend on dinner but worth it!!
Fabulous food, great service and a stunning view! Highly recommend.
The service was exceptional, we were celebrating our 30th anniversary and mentioned it with the reservations. Were pleasantly surprised when the waiter presented us with a complimentary wine to toast our evening.
Enjoyed the view and the food presentation and preparation was exceptional.
we enjoyed our evening and had another glass of wine to top off the night.
I appreciate the Farm to Table approach however this doesn't mean the food can't be nicely seasoned and accompanied by tasty sauces. A pity because it could be so much better given the stunning outlook.
the food was amazing!!! the waiter was awesome knew the menu and wine list inside and out. not a great view of the falls but was nice. the evening would have been fantastic except the fire alarm went off right after we ordered and kept buzzing during our entire meal. not fun when you're spendin good 100 per person
Excellent meal, excellent service and lovely view!
The food was great! We almost filled up on the in house butter and bread. We tried to bribe them to let us take some home... didn't work unfortunately! Highly recommend!
Great service. Great food. Fantastic indigenous Canadian experience.
Price a bit high.
Was awsome!....but would have like the food hotter 😐
Fantastic experience, the service was attentive but not over the top. The food was as good as the view. Highly recommend it.
Had an amazing time, the food was excellent and the staff was fantastic. She was helpful, energetic and very kind. She was very knowledgeable about the food, wine and the Niagara region. Thank you Jessie for your superb service.
Wine recommendation was great, mojito perfect with very nice garnish art. Mushroom soup, rack of lamb, and beef tenderloin all amazing. Great service!
Had dinner there with parents. We can see the niagara fall by the window which is outstanding. We really do enjoyed the service and my dad even asked me to give 20 dollars more for the tip ( after I left 18% tips already). The foods are also unbeatable, except my mom's confit duck. The side (some sort of grain) in it was extremely SALTY to eat.
food and fireworks was awesome. not an everyday meal but a great quiet place to see it all.
Wow! Amazing meal. Amazing view. Great service! It's not cheap, but a total must do for a romantic dinner!
The view from Windows is spectacular. The oysters were fresh and the beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection.
My husband and I dined here while on vacation in Canada. We purposely chose a more expensive restaurant and a later reservation time to have a kid-free date night. Most of the Niagara Falls area is very kid-friendly, so we were surprised by the number of toddlers and infants in this particular restaurant between 8 PM and 10 PM on a Friday night (especially when there was a very nice buffet right next door). The restaurant does not have a kids menu and the prices are typical fine dining prices. Unsurprisingly, these kids were bored and tired, so they screamed, cried, etc. I am conflicted because I want to give the restaurant a positive review for the food and service, because it was wonderful, but the unruly kids certainly detracted from the ambiance. I can't recommend this restaurant for a romantic special occasion because it just isn't worth the price.
