Massimo’s Italian Fallsview Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We loved everything about the restaurant except for the main courses. I ordered the beef tenderloin and my partner had lamb. My beef was overcooked and just didn't taste very good and my partner didn't love his lamb. The creme brulle was amazing as was our muscles for the appetizer. I don't think we will be returning though.
I must say the service was excellent though and the ceasers were good.
Our waitress was fun, happy to see us, and right there to serve us. We weren't left waiting. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was fabulous ! Wine list was local and wonderful. We actually went to the winery the next day to buy the wine we had with dinner! Great place for a special occasion or date. Definitely will return in the near future!
Our server had a great personality. Very helpful when choosing off the menu. Great job with pairing our wine with the meal.
Our evening at Windows by Jamie Kennedy was very enjoyable and the food was outstanding. Our server Michael Holder was excellent and very attentive. This is an excellent restaurant to see the lights on Niagara Falls and we return whenever we can. We recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great night out with excellent food.
We went on a Sunday night. Very quiet. Very good view of the American falls but you can see the Canadian falls in the distance.
We opted for the prix fixe menu, giving you your choice of any appetizer, any main & any desert. We had the mushroom soup & turkey salad starters. Both were very good. We continued with the beef tenderloin & rack of lamb. Again, both were very good to excellent. The sides lacked a bit of flavor. We finished with the cheesecake & the cheese board. We were very satisfied. The only disappointment was the list of wines by the glass.
We were guests at the hotel so we took advantage of the restaurant at the hotel. The dining room is beautiful and the view spectacular. The menu was impressive. And our waiter was great. A few of the menu items were a bit of a miss. But the charcuterie appetizer, soup and mussels were excellent. Would definitely recommend trying this place as something new and different from the rest of the places around. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out round of ice wine for dessert. Very nice touch.
Wonderful experience - the chef made a wonderful vegan dinner for us, and the server chose the perfect wines for our courses. One of the best dinners I’ve ever had, and my friend (who is not vegan) felt the same way. And the service was excellent.
for 5 star dinning, I expected more flavor and variety. dinner was very bland and nothing special. what a disappointment.
The view was great. The service was excellent. However the menu options were limited and the actual food fell short of expectations. We left rather disappointed.
We enjoyed the incredible view and wonderful food. The drinks that were suggested with our meal was perfect!!
We chose this restaurant because of it's online profile. Our server was absolutely fantastic, our food was delicious and unique, and the wine & beer we had were amazing! Especially the ice wine! We arrived a couple who had been dating for 7 years and left an engaged couple! It was the perfect experience and will be one we will remember forever. We will definitely be returning for anniversaries!
Quite disappointed in the quality of the food for one of the best fine dining restaurants in Niagara Falls. Jamie Kennedy has a great reputation but clearly his standards were not followed on Saturday. We had the prix fixe meal- Apps: the smoked whitefish salad was delightful, the mussels had grit in the broth. Mains: cornbread served with the pork tenderloin was under cooked and too dry to eat, the rack of lamb was tough and had no flavor- barely mediocre. Desserts: caramelized apple cheesecake- very light texture, apples were not actually caramelized, carrot cake was good. Overall, quite disappointed- not good value for the price.
Incredible food and great service. The restaurant was quiet (only a few tables) so the atmosphere was poor and it is expensive. But the food and wine was incredible so we would go back.
Beautiful view of the falls & great atmosphere. Perfect for a romantic night out. Jessie who was our waitress was amazing & very knowledgeable. Her personality really made an impression on us. The wine list is great but we don’t think the food is as fabulous as it is hyped up to be. I would go back for the view, atmosphere, a glass of wine and appetizers but not for a full meal. Great experience regurdless!
What was ordered & rating:
Chicken Supreme - 5/10
Beef Tenderloin - 7/10
PEI Mussels - 0/10 ( they were taken back and switched for the Fries)
Hand Cut Fries - 10/10
Creme Brûlée - 6/10
A bottle of the Big Head Cab. Sauv - 9/10
Outstanding service crew who obviously care about their professions.
Delicious food and generous portions with an excellent view and great service. Definitely would recommend to friends.
The food was just incredible I had a vegetarian option that was kale and spaghetti. It was to die for. My hubby and I went around 6:30 and got to see an incredible view of the falls. Our waiters name was Michael and he was very nice. He made us laugh and was honest about his favourites on the menue. I hope to go back again. Between the staff, delicious food and view date night was a huge success!
No ambience at all, really dead in restuarant, poo decor, food is overpriced for what you get, server was very lovely
Nice place, great view. Good service, but too pricey for the food you get.
The view was incredible to start, followed by an incredibly attentive water and delicious food. We could not be happier with how our amazing night went at Windows Restaurant.
I had the soup which was very good. I also had the mussels which were the worse I have ever had not taste to them at all. My sister had the pork tenderloin it was very dry with no grave available. My friend had the rack of lamb I tasted it it was ok but I have had much better in other places. The prices are very high for what you get.
Amazing food an hospitality, Julie our hostess was a delight an would return for her service alone
It was a wonderful dining experience. They took amazing care of our party of 6 and even remembered it was an anniversary celebration. Hope to return !
I took my wife for her 40th Birthday dinner and found the wine list to be limited, along with the scotch list. For dinner we had lamb and chicken both were palatable but for the price I have had much better. Our server was new and did her best but the rest of staff including bartender was rude and loud. The view was the best part of the evening. For a 250 meal (included cosmopolitan thing and a glass of scotch only) you can do better elsewhere
From the moment we stepped off the elevator we had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The view of the falls from our table was second to none.
We were very satisfied with the rich and balanced flavours of our entire meal, as well as the perfect wine pairings.
This is officially our new favourite restaurant in Niagara.
Our waitress was very helpful , knowledgeable & charming. Service was top notch , food was excellent. Portions were huge , had to save room on purpose for desert. I enjoyed being able to order 3 ounce glasses of wine so I could try several local wines in one sitting. The price fix option of $70 for any appy & entre & desert is a hell of a deal !!
Great service. Great food! My husband and I went for our 5 year wedding anniversary. My husband had the leek soup and rack of lamb. I had the mussels and cod. We both loved everything we ate!
Amazing restaurant. It was our anniversary, and we were greeted with a smile and complimentary glass of champagne. Our server, Julie, was spectacular from start to finish. She even took us to a special balcony to take some photos of us with the falls. Amazing views, food and service.
Everything was great, from the food to the service. The view of the falls at night was spectacular!
My fiancee had the mac n cheese for an entree. Which was very tasty. The scallop was cook perfectly. I went with the $70 pick any app.entree and desert. The app mussels were good , generous portion. The duck confit leg entree was amazing!! A must have. To finish off I had the lemon tart was really good. The entree prices were high but worth it
Was thinking this would be a nice fine dining restaurant but was disappointed. The view is very nice but the restaurant is situated right next to a buffet dinner restaurant and the noise and smells intermix. The dinner selection is very limited and we had the pork and beef selections which were ok but not that flavorful. We eat at many fine dining locations where the food is great... this location you pay for the view.. not the food.
I requested Steak medium rare but was Well Done
Duck leg was a bit dry too.
Not too thrilled with the food. But sercive was good.
Great anniversary! Definitely pricey. But we went on a weekday and it was dead. Which was great for ambiance!
Words cannot describe how grateful I am to the wonderful staff at this restaurant. They went above and beyond to make sure 10/29/17 was a night my new fiancee and I will never forget. They listened to me and played their roles perfect the food was fabulous and for my first time being to Canada from the U.S (which they knew right away) thier knowledge about multiple topics we discussed and ability to answer questions and be patient made us feel right at home thank you again. Jamie your team didnt have to do what they did. Not only did they do it they did it well thats what makes your restaurant stand out among the rest with excellent customer service and excellent food I will visit again on my next trip.
Food was good, but the experience was underwhelming for the expectations.
My wife and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary at Windows on 10/15/17. Everything was superb. The view. The food. The drinks. The service we received from Jessie was outstanding. Highly recommended and would certainly consider a return visit.
The Port Tenderloin was done perfectly and Matt our server was helpful and efficient.
My wife and I totally enjoyed our evening.
After reading previous reviews, the common theme is the amount of noisy children in the restaurant. Our dinner was no exception. There was a large family at the table behind us with 2 extremely disruptive kids. This didn't ruin our experience, but definitely was a factor in our experience for a romantic dinner looking over the falls. We noticed other tables visibly frustrated by this disruption, constantly looking over their shoulders at the kids' behaviour.
The food and service were outstanding. The view was spectacular. Too bad disruptive kids have to be a factor.
Absolutely delicious... but you can help feel the dining room is an after thought. Would love to see the hotel make this as unique and wonderful as the food!
We had dinner at Windows for our 30th wedding anniversary. The view of the American and Canadian Falls from our table was spectacular. Our hostess and waiter provided outstanding service and checked with us frequently but not too often. Our meals arrived within a reasonable amount of time and were delicious. This was a great dining experience.
