Very good food and ample choices. A little pricy. Very nice surroundings. Glad we went. We typically don’t spend $40 or so on entrees but not many other choices in the area. Expect a good meal, courteous service, and a bill of $150 or so for two.

The Woodnotes grill is a sure thing. The food is always fresh and delicious and the service is always good. Make a reservation during the fall season as it books quickly. I love going for the the breakfast. Great menu choices.

It is always a pleasure to return to Woodnotes at the Emerson. The menu provides good, seasonal choices and the food is delicious. The bar area is spacious and attractive. Eating out of doors next to the roaring stream is a delight on summer evenings. On our most recent visit there was superb music at the nearby band shell.

We will be back to experience more of Emerson! I was happy to see GF entree choices but I would like to see more plus include substitute for the top 10 allergens. I have autoimmune celiac disease plus sensitivities to lactose and casein.

Our food was very good, although served in enormous portions. Ambiance is pleasant, although there were two large tables making a lot of noise; luckily, we we seated well away from them. And our service was excellent. We'll return, although probably not on a Saturday night.

My wife and I have been to Woodnotes on a number of occasions and liked it so much that we recommended it to many of our family and friends. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was not so great. While we still think that the ambiance of the place is awesome, the food prices have gone up, the portion sizes have gone down (it's usually one or the other, isn't it?), and the service left us to fend for ourselves. I certainly would have had a second glass of wine had our waitress decided to come back to our table after we ordered, but she didn't so I didn't. In fact, I needed to flag one of the wait staff down just so that I could pay the bill. I had the RICOTTA CAVATELLI BOLOGNAISE for $26. The taste was very good, but the portion size to me seemed pretty small. I ate it and then went home and had something more to eat. Also, no grated cheese available, what's up with that? My wife had the HERB SEARED SEA SCALLOPS appetizer or $22, as her entree. She was interested in having a salad as well, but $20 for a Woodnote Salad w/o protein WOW! A glass of House wine was $12 for Pino Grigio and $14 for Cabernet. Two (2) dinner rolls - FREE! Also, if you want to make a substitution for anything that comes with your meal, say rice instead of potatoes, you must pay $5 for the privilege (?) We may go back to Woodnotes at some point, perhaps for a special occasion where money is less of a focus, but certainly not for a standard dinner meal. YMMV, but we were pretty disappointed.

The dining room was sort of cafeteria-ish. Nothing special. No real ambiance. Food was good but not particularly memorable. Left me with a sort of blah feeling about the entire experience.

food was just average but since we were staying at the emerson it was very convenient. if you stay at the emerson it’s a good choice for convenience. if you’re not you may want to explore other options.

We have dined at the "old" Woodnotes Restaurant 4 prior times. This new incarnation was just adequate on several levels, the most noticeable was no energy/enthusiasm from staff, nor the few fellow diners. I also noticed the glassware for water and wine was not polished and gleaming. Small details to pay attention to means so much to diners.

Staff was kind and friendly, but forgot about us at the beginning once we were seated. Once they realized that, they offered free glass of wine and apologized,so I applaud to that. Mixed drinks were not worth the money at all. Overpowering and too sweet. Food was much better. My salmon was cooked just right. My husband’s steak as well.

My husband took me out for birthday dinner. Sunday evening early and pretty quiet. We sat close to the fireplace and enjoyed the ambiance of the room. We had bloody mary’s and then wine with dinner. Food was delicious . Service friendly and attentive.

We have been coming to Emerson for 15 years now and I love the ambiance of woodnotes grill. Always friendly and the bartender is awesome!! We always have dinner at the bar and the food is great and they always have something for everyone. Great chef and great food!!

Last minute decision to go for some Woodnotes burgers on a Monday evening. So perfectly prepared and delicious ! One of our favorites with the home-made French Fries. Fireplace going. A real treat !!
