   We have dined at the "old" Woodnotes Restaurant 4 prior times. This new incarnation was just adequate on several levels, the most noticeable was no energy/enthusiasm from staff, nor the few fellow diners. I also noticed the glassware for water and wine was not polished and gleaming. Small details to pay attention to means so much to diners.

   Had family dinner for Mother’s Day and we were all pleasantly surprised with the service, quality, and presentation of our meals. Woodnotes is on our list for a return visit in the future.

   We enjoyed a delicous meal in a beautiful setting! The service was excellent-very attentive but not intrusive. The food and drinks were all delicious and prepared with care. The setting was also beautiful-dining by a beautiful creek.

    Staff was kind and friendly, but forgot about us at the beginning once we were seated. Once they realized that, they offered free glass of wine and apologized,so I applaud to that. Mixed drinks were not worth the money at all. Overpowering and too sweet. Food was much better. My salmon was cooked just right. My husband’s steak as well.

    My husband took me out for birthday dinner. Sunday evening early and pretty quiet. We sat close to the fireplace and enjoyed the ambiance of the room. We had bloody mary’s and then wine with dinner. Food was delicious . Service friendly and attentive.

    We have been coming to Emerson for 15 years now and I love the ambiance of woodnotes grill. Always friendly and the bartender is awesome!! We always have dinner at the bar and the food is great and they always have something for everyone. Great chef and great food!!

    Last minute decision to go for some Woodnotes burgers on a Monday evening. So perfectly prepared and delicious ! One of our favorites with the home-made French Fries. Fireplace going. A real treat !!

    We were the first guests to be seated for dinner but my burger never came out. The Caesar salad app was good and portion was a good size. Luckily it filled me up for dinner and didn’t need the burger. The server was apologetic about the missing burger but didn’t try to make the situation any better for their mistake.

    The food was not special..the servers seemed distracted..the order was served incorrectly ,the portions were awfully small. There is vast room for improvement as the place is charming and what was eaten was just a bit away from very good.

    We ate breakfast here Monday and came back Tuesday because it was so delicious. We recommend the garden omelette and the first day I had some sort of big boy sandwich and the second day 2 eggs with a side of fruit with the most yummy whole wheat bread I ever had. It was like a multigrain bread not whole wheat. You can choose salad or fruit or home fries. Excellent value. Food all fresh and delicious. And the pot of decaf coffee was great too

    Birthday dinner while staying at the resort. Limited menu and they charge for substitutions. Cheese plate very good but overpriced. Salad with the apples was just good. Murray’s chicken was excellent. Service and ambiance was excellent. View was great as were the drinks. The hamburger that passed by our table looked fantastic. I would try that next. I loved the antler chandeliers. I would definitely return.

    The best fried calamari we’ve had and we have had a lot!! Pork chop was so tender. Trout and salmon were fresh and delicious. Server was so knowledgeable and friendly. The view of the Esopus Creek was lovely.

    Amazing - it far exceeded our expectations - all the ingredients were fresh and delicious. We sat outside and had a perfect view of the water to compliment our meal. The favorite were the crab cakes and the dessert - apple crisp- but the entire meal was outstanding!
