   I come to this restaurant a few times a year and the food is superb. I just wish the service matched the quality of the food. An example is the person would come over to take our drink order but walked away after taking one of our orders. Came back with my guests drink then I was able to order which was not received accurately. Just was a bit strange and expect a bit more detail with the service. This is the 2nd time I have been here where I’ve experienced not excellent service.

   Absolutely lovely! The food was amazing, tasting and the presentation. Lovely wine selection. Only 2 little things were: 1. Being the table next to the piano player made things a little too loud but lovely music and created lovely ambiance). 2. We were a table of 6 - my friend and I had ordered a bottle of white wine to share between the 2 of us, but it got distributed to the rest of the table which was not suppose to happen. So that created some confusion since most wanted red wine not white. But otherwise, the best dinner experience I've had in a long time - and my German friends were pleased.

   Was really excited to go here but ended up disappointed. It took an hour for our entres. No apology or explanation. When my husband's stripiloin finally came it was like leather. He had asked for medium rare. They took it back and he received a new one. But by then I was finished eating. Again, no apology or credit or anything. Won't go back. If you want a better experience, go to Antler. They never disappoint.

    So happy to return to Woods after a few years. Love the new ambience and the chicken cordon bleu has never been better. A beautiful new added touch slicing prosciutto at the table. Wonderful.

    My fiance and I had an absolutely wonderful time here. The food was presented and tasted great. The service was very attentive and quick to clear plates, take orders, exc.. . They gave us great breakdowns of the items and food came out in a timely manner. Cocktails were very well done. Would recommend the espresso martini, it goes great with the woods s'mores (modern unique presentation) The interior is magical and warm, classy vibes perfect for a little weekend date. Live music was played and set a relaxing mood for dinner. Exactly what we wanted from a farm to table experience!

    Excellent food and service. Can be a little noisy with everyone needing to speak over the relative loudness of the piano. Background piano music provides a nice ambiance though.

    This restaurant was a wonderful place to have an intimate birthday dinner with my husband. The servers were helpful and very polite. The food was incredible and the added touch of an “on the house” birthday drink for my husband was very thoughtful. We will definitely return.

    We were in Toronto for just one night and wanted a restaurant that had farm to table, local ingredients. We were excited to be able to reserve a table at Woods Restaurant. The food was delicious and the waiter we had was so friendly and kind. He recommended an appetizer (scallops) which were very good and the stars of the meal were definitely the bison and the seared tuna we had as our main course. The ambiance was very nice, relaxing, and non-pretentious. We truly enjoyed it!

    Woods was fantastic! The atmosphere of the restaurant was intimate and cool. The service was amazing, as was the food. We had been hoping to get to Woods for some time and would definitely go again!

    I brought my father here as he was visiting from overseas and had wanted to try elk while he was in town. Woods restaurant was one of the options that I found online and after checking their menu I made a reservation for that evening, and I was very glad I did. We had elk tartare and scallops to start, both were exceptional. The elk tartare especially was absolutely out of this world. For main course we had the roast elk and the wild boar. Again, both were delicious, perfectly cooked and came with tasty and delicate accompaniments. For dessert we had a modern kind of take on a baked Alaska with sorbet, and a deconstructed s'more style dessert which was a chocolate mousse with torched marshmallow meringue. I can't say enough good things about the food, and will definitely be recommending it to anyone looking for a fine dining experience in the city.

    We had the worst experience this evening. As soon as we walked in, we felt uncomfortable and basically received the cold shoulder from our server. Every person we interacted with had an attitude, no smiles etc. I would love to chat further as I feel this service was unacceptable.

    Our waiter never spoke to us. We weren’t offered water and it took 40 min to get a drink. Had to ask for an appetizer from another waiter. We left after that.

    This was my second visit to Woods. Our first experience was tremendous, which is why we returned. The food was consistent between both visits , Amazing. Our server and the service for the second visit was the worst I’ve had in some time. It was basically the bare minimum effort. It was very unfortunate as we had been looking forward to this dinner for some time

    Made a reservation for 8 got seated at 8:40, it took 2 hours to bring the food and it wasn’t that busy. Had to keep asking the waiter for an update they love to say the food will be out in 2 mins about it was 20 mins extra or more each time. They end up giving my bf a wrong entree but we were so hungry we didn’t care. Not a very nice place for a date.
