Great food.. neat drinks.
Tomahawk streak was fun to order.
Beef tartare amazing
Bone marrow unreal
Had a family Birthday and ordered a bunch of items from the small and large plate selection. Loved the Gnocchi, roasted Chicken, frites, and the chocolate mousse! So delicious.
Delicious food and great service! The gnocchi and fried chicken was superb. Lovely decor. A bit loud and difficult to hear. Will go back!
Food good always. No coffee available. At all. I find this a total affectation. The drink I ordered which contained truffle honey smelled like gasoline. Oh well, nice to try new things and they have lots. Great room.
The food was very good, but the service was poor -- it seemed like our waiter was brand new to the restaurant.
Amazing! The endive/beet salad was incredible!
It is very loud and the tables are very close. The food was amazing served was too shelf.
Great service and fantastic food! Drink the House Sour!!
Amazing food and drinks! We even received complimentary dessert! I recommend the mussels and the lavender fizz (a drink from the old menu but they will still make it for you if you ask!).
Great food! Amazing service. I went with a group of 5 and we had a great time! The server was amazing and really knew her cocktails. Would definitely go back.
The service was outstanding. Overcooked my steak but offered to replace it immediately; complimentary dessert.
Table so close to the next that we couldn't have a private conversation.
Food was good although I much preferred the old menu options.
We had a great time, great food, great drinks and great service. Will definitely go back.
Great cocktail menu; will definitely have to return to try this place again!
We really , REALLY enjoyed our experience at Woodwork. It's nice to go somewhere different and try new things
We have been to Woodwork many times before. I feel that this time was different.
I will be calling this weekend to speak to a manager regarding our experience.
Wood Work. Great location, the food was delicious, service was great! However for or a higher end restaurant I would expect better furnishings and nicer washrooms. Softwood table tops on wobbly bases, Crooked Toilets..
We always enjoy our evening at Woodwork. Great to share a few of the small plates and enjoy with cocktails!!
The service was lovely, the decor is beautiful, and the food was delicious.
Four of us went to Woodwork prior to the theatre. It was a great choice. The server was mindful of our time and the food and cocktails were yummy and prompt.
The food and service were outstanding. Overall an excellent experience and we would recommend it and visit again.
Outstanding food and service. The only complaint is they changed their Brussels spouts,I didn't care for the horseradish they added to it and my beef was more under-cooked to how i like it. It was quite rare and i asked for medium.
The food was not great and I ordered a $6 beer during happy hour which ended up being $9 on my bill. Overall probably wouldn’t rush back to eat there again.
Great! Very good
Outstanding cocktails. We went off menu and had the bartender create tiki style drinks - which were exceptional. Will be back for sure. An oasis in the winter.
Great cocktails. The pork Ragu was tasty. It would have been better to have a slice of good bread to go with the gravy. The fish was excellent. Usually fish skin is not my thing but this was good .. crispy and not fishy.
Great food and ambiance
Great food and great service!!
Love this place!
The staff are amazing!
Little loud. Had to wait to.get seated while the host figured out how to work his iPad.
We were celebrating the significant others birthday. She and her brother really enjoyed the appetizers and main course. I found the flavours very bold on my main course but, edible. When we asked for a coffee or tea with our deserts the server looked at us like we had two heads. Apparently they don't serve coffee or tea, strange. Service was good overall but, not the best setting for an intimate evening. You won't get much privacy as the tables quite close together. I'm a bigger guy and I had to make sure to excuse myself when leaving our table so as to not bump, nudge or disturb the table of the two ladies sitting next to us.
This was our 4th trip to Woodwork and there is always something new to try at this downtown gem. Comfy seating, very attentive and knowledgeable service, a semi open kitchen and very creative bar menu make for a pleasant and fun restaurant experience. The menu is limited but boasts inventive options....anything we’ve tasted has been fresh and beautifully presented whether it’s veggie, fish or meat. I prefer a couple of small plates myself. Only blip this time was the dessert , but last visit’s bread pudding style choice was wonderful. Cocktails and beer are the strong items, wine more limited. Well worth a reservation - best to make one as this is a popular place!
Food was alright, and it took awhile to make it to the table... make sure you have good company if you go!
Overall it was really good, just our beef tar tar was pretty bland. Wine and cocktails were awesome.
Went with a group of ladies and had an amazing time. Service was wonderful, and every dish we ordered was delicious!
Woodwork was our pre-theatre destination and it was a great choice. Although the menu is limited, we found lots to choose from and everything we selected was delicious. The flavours were interesting and varied, and portion size was generous. We hit the happy hour, which makes the fantastic cocktails just a bit more value priced. We will be back.
Always a great experience. A staple in the Edmonton food scene. My coworkers and industry partners enjoyed it. See you next time.
Delicious food and beverages presented by a friendly, knowledgeable server.
We had enjoyable evening at Woodwork on tuesday night. Atmosphere was quite and just right for pleasant conversations. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable. When it comes to food, it was bit disappointing. We had beet endive salad, stake tartar and fried chicken. Beet endive salad had three small pieces of beets. The dressing was tasty but too greasy. Steak tartar was a let down. We expected traditional patty with an egg on it but got something that looked more like a spoonful of cooked ground meet. The burnt white toast that came with it was not appetizing at all. We expected traditional serving of some version of rye bread but not cheap store bought white bread. Fried chicken was just okay.
