I love old school places like this. The main courses we had were all very good. I had a strip, My wife a filet and my son fried quail. There were some simply delicious items worth mentioning. The duck popper appetizer. To die for. The Brussels sprouts and smoked cabbage sides were delicious.

Thanksgiving Dinner Reservations for 11:00 am. Host staff was friendly and seated us promptly. It took a little while before the waitress came to give us drinks. We were wanting to order steaks and/or prime rib but weren't given any menus...seemed the buffet the meal for the day. Later, we seemed to see other diners ordering from the menu. Before we could get to the buffet, our waitress gave us the bill. I don't think she realized how pretentious this was. Going thru the crowded buffet we tried the roast beef, turkey, ham and meatloaf as well as the obligitory sides. It must have been the "first" batch of meat because the ham and turkey were quite dry and in spite of the "warmers" our ham and turkey were both cold. The roast beef was so tough I tried a couple bites and went on to the meatloaf. Going back for another serving of meatloaf...all that was left was crumbled broken pieces. One of the "cooks" came out and dumped another round of sliced ham into the trough...it was obvious that it was just food and nothing special by how it was handled by the kitchen staff. The desserts weren't any better...a few casserole style desserts. One was strawberry shortcake with whip cream; the others were similar. Hard pass. Overall, the meal was quite disappointing. There weren't any elevated or special type Thanksgiving recipes...just trough food. For the two of us at a self-serve buffet with tip, we paid just under a hundred dollars. I expected so much more from a restaurant that lauds itself on quality. The Thanksgiving Dinner was more akin to an airport lounge buffet than a buffet at what is supposed to be one of Tupelo's best eateries. This was my first visit to Woody's and I'll have to say that I won't be back. It really felt like they were pretending to be a high end restaurant but management doesn't understand high prices don't dictate quality...the food and service make the restaurant and meal. I saw enough negative reviews that I should have taken heed.

Filet cooked exactly as ordered and very good. One of us ordered meatballs with pasta. Meatballs very good. Pasta sauce too sweet. They adjusted bill for that. Will go again but will ask about sauces.

We were there celebrating our fifth anniversary, and it was wonderful. We got to meet the owners, Feather & Trish. We even got on the books reserved for four holidays next year. Funny thing is we forgot to talk about time but it’ll all work out. Food is phenomenal. Thank you again. See you soon.

Woody’s Tupelo Steakhouse did not disappoint. Our Anniversary Dinner was superb. Very great service and the dessert New Orleans Bread Pudding tasted like my Mother in Law‘s straight out of the oven. Filet and Ribeye were cooked to perfection. Must try Bacon Wrapped Duck Poppers. So good. Will be going back soon. Thank you very much for Wonderful Food and Service. Our waitress Kimberly was fantastic. Til next time.

I’ve been eating at Woody’s for over 20 years. It’s always been my favorite local place. Feather always does the most for her customers and takes her love of preparing food seriously. She has always been consistent with quality without taking shortcuts. She knows the business of wines, cigars, and delicious food. Most importantly, she treats you like family and so does her team. In my opinion, Woodys is the best in Tupelo.

The hostess was extremely nice. However, the decor is very outdated. It looks like a place to take your Grandmother. It’s a pricy restaurant yet they use cheap paper tablecloths that are not even cut straight. I ordered the 16oz New York Strip and it was very hard to eat. It had a lot of tendons or something running through it which made several pieces unchewable. They got the cook temperature correct but there was not a good sear, in fact the bottom side of the steak had no seat at all. The Brussels sprouts were the best part of my meal, they were delicious. However the Pan seared spicy corn is just canned corn heated in a pan with some bell peppers cut up in it… definitely needed more seasoning, I don’t think they added any seasonings. I had heard great things about this restaurant and with the menu prices being higher my expectations were high but I was sadly disappointed.

Delicious food and plenty of seating. Service was friendly but very slow. It took nearly 30 minutes to get our checks and us having to ask for it several times. Not sure if they were short-staffed that particular night, but watching our server tend to another group several times without checking back on us was frustrating.

First time experience, we were seated quickly but having a WWF on tv in a nice dining is unacceptable. We were not the only customers who complained. We only ordered an entree and after 65 minutes waiting for our food we told the waitress, who was really nice but stretched too thin waiting tables, that we wanted our check and within 5 minutes we got our meal, other tables were complaining about the time it took for their dinners, then yelling started in the kitchen about food taking so long from the manager. Geez! The quail was good but not worth the wait. We will not be returning to dine there, y’all need more help!

Our sincere apologies, you are right, we were understaffed... It's not our normal. Two call ins, short one on the floor & in the back. I know Mandi tried her best to keep up - she's a great waitress, but we all have our limits. I'm sorry that we failed to deliver, also sorry that I'm the culprit yelling in the back..... As for the WWF, the young man in front of the TV had the channel changed. Wouldn't have been my choice either. We will have to try harder. I hope you'll try us again.

Arrived at 6P.M. Restaurant was not busy at that time. My parents and I had ordered our food my 6:15. Did not recieve the food until 7:10. When we did recieve the food, my parents both had ordered 12oz ribeyes Medium, were overcooked to well done. My filet was cooked perfect to MR. Waiter was great. Kitchen staff needs help it seems.
