We had the Lougheed lunch that included starter, a main and dessert- incredible value for money...not to mention delicious!!
Great way to enjoy friends and food! Enjoyed our server Jennifer!
We’ve been here twice in a row now for our anniversary and it’s been an amazing experience with probably the best meal and drink pairings you could find anywhere. Bobby and the staff truly make it a memorable event that we’re already looking forward to again!
Top notch space, food, service, and atmosphere.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meals which were imaginative, fresh, tasty and filling. The service was perfectly timed to get us to theatre without a rush.
Great value! Yummy lunch! Good service. The restaurant books up, so make a reservation in advance.
the prix fix lunch is a fast and delicious way to have a lunch meeting.
The food was excellent, Served in appropriate portions. The tasting menu is fantastic and totally worth it.
The food is always fresh, inventive and delicious. Our favourite waiter, Bobby makes our evening special with his attentiveness and charm.
This was my first time at Workshop and I was very pleased with the service. The food was excellent. I have already recommended this place to many people to try. I normally don’t eat pork but ordered the braised special which was pork and I was blown away. I will definitely be back.
Amazing food, service and ambience. We did the 5 course tasting menu and it is hard to pick out the best dish as they were all soo tasty.
Awesome atmosphere and great night for my girlfriend and I.
I went to the Workshop with my wife for her birthday and the food was amazing, service was excellent and the atmosphere was tremendous. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is a more expensive place but compared to the food and service at places that are similar the workshop blows them all away.
We shared the buttermilk chicken platter it was incredible the hush puppies were fantastic and the purée corn served as a wonderful accompanying treat. Service was great!
Great atmosphere, food and exceptional service from waiter.
Lougheed lunch is amazing! Great quality for a great price - highly recommend.
We had the Valentine's Day 4 course menu. Every dish exceeded expectations! The flavours were delicious and straightforward.
The only thing that bothered me was that the servers were wearing Jeans and t shirts.
Our server Dave was professional and did an amazing job!
Not knowing what to expect, we were very pleasantly surprised by both the type of dishes offered and the quality of food. Our waiter (Dave) was very professional and friendly. He was knowledgeable about the menu and exercised expert timing when delivering each course to our table.
It was our first time to this restaurant and it will definitely not be our last.
We tried the 3 course dinner with wine pairing. The food did not disappoint. Overall a great experience.
The service was great and the food was outstanding. My husband and I did the three course meal and each dish was delicious. We will definitely be coming back.
My preferred downtown place for business lunches - love the vibe, food and value - the latter specifically with their 3 course lunch menu.
This restaurant is in a quaint, well appointed space. We had a fun and attentive server along with some great food.
Another great experience at the Workshop! It was our second time trying the tasting menu. The portions are pretty big for a tasting menu so make sure you are hungry! They are not afraid of seasoning and bold flavour! Thanks again for the great night, I'm sure we will be back!
Very good food in a very interesting setting. Professional, friendly and attentive staff.
Took our daughter and family to celebrate her 21st. It was perfect. The food, the service, the drinks were fantastic. highly recommend.
The lunch here is awesome. A soup, some pork belly and a great dessert. Can’t beat it. A great go-to. I’ll be back.
This restaurant is very cool!!! The service was excellent and the food delicious. It came out hot and the timing was perfect. We were never without water or a drink and it was just the right amount of food. I wasn’t sure what to except, but was very pleased with our evening!!!
Amazing food, service and great for our group of 30 somethings to drink but be able to chat
Kenny is an extremely talented chef, my meal was amazing. He is excellent at matching and balancing flavors together. Another special touch is the birthday card they always give customers who are celebrating their special day, signed by each employee there. Always love my visits there :)
In town for business and took clients out for dinner. First time at the Workshop and so glad I booked this. The food was outstanding. Not one of us were disappointed with our meals. Will recommend to anyone the Cauliflower appetizer! Will definitely be back.
My second visit to this restaurant and I’m still impressed by both beverage and food menu. The FENNEL AND KOHLRABI SALAD may be the best salad I have ever eaten: multi dimensional and textures and HASKAP YUZU DRESSING is original, favorable with perfect balance.
Superb! We are on business from out of town and tend to favor independent restaurants, found WORKSHOP on a google review looking for a menu of veg and non veg and found this gem. We shared the burrata cheese, chicken dumplings and kale Cesar had the buttermilk chicken and artic char main with shared sides of roasted broccoli and fries. Interesting and delicious wine selection buy the glass. Not a criticism but the cocktails are to complicated to figure out slightly pricy to be experimenting would have preferred a straight up liquor and mix. On our next trip to Calgary we're definitely going again to try other menu offerings. Perfect service, good recommendations and a comfortable amount of attention.
The only reason I gave this restaurant 4 stars rather than 5 is because of the food. I ordered Butter Chicken but what I got was a take on Chicken Curry as the chicken didn't seem to be grilled as is the custom for any variety of butter chicken. typically, Indian butter chicken is grilled in a clay oven called tandoor. The authentic butter chicken gravy is made with mainly tomatoes with ginger, garlic and spices and cashews and finished with cream to give it a creamy texture. It should never include onions.
The ambience of the restaurant is really good and service is fantastic. However, for somebody new, it is difficult to find the restaurant as it is located within The Grand Theatre.
Went there for a special birthday dinner, and had the "No Menu Monday" 3 course tasting menu. The food was fantastic, and great service. Well worth the $55 per person for an appetizer, a main and a dessert. For food of this caliber, the value for the meal was outstanding. We will definitely be back!
10/10 and all 3 people felt that way. I will personally be there for lunch on Thursday with TC Energy to check it out with 5 other people.
Food fantastic. Service perfect. Tasted flavours I've never tasted before. So fun to be surprized with the five-course meal. Choice of food upscale.
We did the five course meal with wine pairing and were very happy that the kitchen could accommodate our requests. The wine paired nicely with the courses and the flavours were delicious.
Visiting Calgary- really enjoyed the whole experience
Had our amazing dating anniversary and Christmas dinner at this place. Great food and steak. Enjoyed my surprised tasting menu. Friendly customer service. Would visit again
