Yo Amo Tacos
Enjoy Mexican Euro Fusion comfort food
Terrible! poor service and way more more expensive than the menu prices on this App
It was great but just a little more expensive than other Mexican restaurants in downtown
I had the deep fried burrito it was tasty very good not oily I got it with the steak meat. My husband got the chicken quesadilla it was good. We would go back and try other stuff.
Such a fun place to go- great atmosphere and the music is always good.
Love the food, been coming here for years. It's so flavourful and there's a lot of good options on the menu
Awesome!!! LOVE the vibe and service is impeccable!!!
Love love love the atmosphere! True Mexican vibes . Great food . And the music is amazing
The drinks tasted very bad and for example the sangria in a very small glass and still frozen that is not worth the price we paid.
The food was not so bad but the Alambre too oily and guacamole the portion was small also the avocado was not good it seemed as if They would have put the avocados in the blender and they had no flavor. Finally the waitress service was good but there were too many tables that did not arrive quickly at our table and I had to raise my hand several times to be served.
As a customer and a Mexican, I feel very disappointed with the restaurant.
The food was delish
We loved our waitress Laura.
When we got there it wasn’t busy the music began and the vibe started to be a more upbeat level.
I was hoping the staff would be wearing masks,
This place is a joke, the venue itself is strangely designed and laid out, that's if you can somehow make it through the lack of parking nightmare. The service is awful, no staff member seemed to be happy or comfortable, some of them refused to even talk or respond. The main hostess comes up to take our orders (which she got wrong) without a mask, while the other workers wore theirs she refused to wear hers, all while everyone is dining indoors.
We receive our mains before our apps for some reason and had to ask for water along with that because they didn't bring us any as we were seated.
The food is severely over priced, 3 tacos for $20 and it tasted horribly bland or out of some DIY kit you purchase at the grocery store.
We finally receive our apps (chips and guac) and the guac is just smashed Avocadoes, not seasoned or prepared the way guac should, served with store bought tortilla chips.
The wait staff is clearly dysfunctional and doesn't know what they're doing, 3 different servers come up to us and they don't communicate with one another as the previous ones came back to correct our orders, as it was wrong.
Aside from all this, if you go based off of just the quality of the food itself, it's not at all a good value. The food tastes plain and boring, it's the type of place you go out with your coworkers, hardly feels like an actual restaurant.
Near the end of the night, as it started getting much busier we decided to rush out of there, didn't get a chance to tell the hostess we had finished paying and that we were leaving because of how preoccupied she became.
Will definitely not be dining here again, this place is a joke.
The food was very good and the outdoor seating arrangements were excellent. I would come back just for an opportunity to sit out there again.
BUT I do have one serious concern that would make me hesitate about coming back. I had serious concerns about covid-19 protocol implementation. Guests were allowed into the restaurant unmasked despite signs saying "no mask no service". Some (not all!) staff did not mask when they approached at our table, which made us very uncomfortable because we had to put on our masks during the meal to protect ourselves.
I hope this issue gets corrected. Because I thought the place is lovely and I'd like to come back. But I am very concerned about the health and safety of staff and customers at that place for now.
Location and setting is very nice. Our waitress was very nice. Parking is free. DJ is good. The food is way over priced and super salty. Be prepared to pay 18% gratuity whether you are happy with the service or not.
Long wait to get the food, the waitress wasn't very nice
This is by far my favourite place to go around here. The food is amazing. Atmosphere is wicked. Music is fun and the vibes are always great.
1.5 hours for food to arrive. Told order was never punched in, while server had punched it in on tablet in front of us. Overcharged for empanadas never received. Not enough servers that people were cleaning up their own tables bringing plates and glasses to kitchen. Management has never been good, 3 times been there, same everytime. Cocktails are nothing special, and expensive. I like tacos but wish the existing place were a lot better.
Need more staff. Seemed like there was only two people working. Bills were messed up as well
Amazing music, great vibe, food and drinks were solid. Would come back here again for sure
Amazing the staff the food everything was amazing definitely going back again soon
Amazing service, food and drink selection! We will definitely be returning soon.
I like the food there, it taste great. I love their strawberry daiquiri. I also like the music playing the weekend. A cozy little place.
Amazing place, amazing vibes, people r great and the food is delicious
I had the worst experience last night here. Our waitress was absolutely horrible and just rude. Waited over an hour for our food and left. The food still had not come. No apology from the waitress and lack of communication. The table beside us also waited forever just for their drinks. She made our experience horrible and I will never ever go back.
The waiters came to our table 4 times with other people’s orders.
Delicious food as always, ice cold beer and they have made a lovely outdoor eating area too!
food was outstanding. the staff was friendly and attentive. the drinks were amazingly delicious. 5 stars would go again.
loved it thank you so much . i will definitely be coming back
First off … food is fantastic here . But the only issue is the wait time for food and service - its way too long . To get our appetizer nachos we waited over an hour and we got them with our main course . We were starving & got our appetizer almost at the same time . We were told to order our main at the same time as our appetizers so that we would avoid waiting but ended up waiting and getting both afterwards . We love this place, we will keep returning but it’s unfortunate that the wait is too long . I came to celebrate a special milestone and ended up serving myself and my friends water from the bar on a tray . Our waitress was nowhere to be found for a while .it’s unfortunate that we love this place but absolutely hate the service. .sometimes you have to take the good with the bad but I feel not receiving plates with your meal that’s already so late - is BAD !
Amazing food and environment, however when i went i received terrible service. Waited more then 1hr for the food and the our server never checked up on us or apologized.
What a wonderful evening, great atmosphere and the food was amazing!!!
Laura was fantastic!!!
We enjoyed the patio it was lovely, backing onto a forested area. We did not spend much time in doors but it looked nice.
The food was OK. It definitely was nowhere near the best Mexican food I’ve had, but it was fine. A bit salty. We ordered chips (that were definitely bought in a supermarket and not made in the restaurant) with guacamole and had to pay an extra seven dollars to get pico de gallo, which was we regretted when we saw the bill.
Mango margarita was amazing!
The server was pleasant and helpful especially since I have some food in tolerances, however service was not great and my meal came 20 minutes after my husbands. Also several of the servers and staff were not wearing masks. That didn’t really bother me, but makes me wonder what other rules and regulations they are not following.
If I was really desperate to go for a patio meal I would go there again, but I wouldn’t seek it out. It’s overpriced and the food is comparable to Taco Bell.
The food is not Authentic Mexican food. Order some enchiladas that were filled with rice barely any chicken. They were wrapped in flour tortillas, instead of corn tortillas. My wife asked for sangria, it tasted nasty, it was too okd.
Service in the other hand was good, the waitress was very nice.
The tip+taxes (that they include) came up to $80!!! I find that so crazy the service was horrible and still had to pay a huge amount of tip!
The food was over priced, the portions were small, and when needing to pay, the tip was automatically calculated and added to the receipt. The drink was much smaller than it was when I have been in the past. This place is not the same as it used to be. I would not recommend this place. For a drink, quesadilla, and nachos I ended up paying $63 with tip that was automatically added.
Very disappointed in this experience at Yo Amo Tacos. Food came out late but was poorly made. I got the pork belly tacos hubby got chorizo tacos and both were over cooked and dry. Server kept forgetting about us. But most of all the food was gross. I will not be going back there.
Came in was ignored. Sat an an awful table when the rest of the place was empty.
Asked to be moved to a better table. Moved to a table right next to where we were then ignored again.
Got up and left.
Had an awesome time here. Its great to just chill have a few drinks and laugh with friends.the food was really good and service too.
Food was very salty. Service was poor. Servers took very long for orders. Surprised to see gratuity already on bill for only 2 people. They did not deserve the gratuity amount to be honest.
Lots of mosquitoes!
My first time eating here, where we were seated was disgusting, we were put under a tarp that had holes in it and that night it rained!!! The chairs were very dirty I didn’t even want sit down. Service very slow, we had to ask for side plates for our starters, we had to ask for water. I’ve never been at a restaurant where we had to ask for these things, they are automatically bring it. The best was they charge you tip on the bill automatically and it doesn’t matter the party size. The tables you very tight I couldn’t even get in out.
