Staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our meal which was good, but not great. Our expectations were higher based on our prior experiences. Decent wine list, salad was fresh and tasty, but pasta dishes were pretty basic, sauces were okay.
Service was slow, but good. Food was good, but not great. Disappointed there are no BC wines on their wine list, with the exception of a Rose which they were out of. We would not return. There are much better options for excellent Italian food in the city.
Beautiful decor, delicious food and wine. Zambri's is a great place for a nice dinner.
We had a great seat with a view of the atrium. The service was prompt. The food was good. Larger portion than expected. Place was rather noisy.
Our service was slow to order but food came in a timely fashion. We got our wine but it was 1/2 hr before she came bac for our order. We were under a tight time frame so was a bit stressful. And we missed not getting some bread while waiting.
We booked our table for 3 adults. When the host seated us, he only brought 2 menus and cleared off the cutlery etc for the 3rd person. The service was very, very slow. We waited an hour for our food. Our server was not terribly attentive, although she did bring us bread at one point. We have been to Zambri's many many times. This was truely a disappointing experience.
Again a wonderful Mothers day Brunch. Excellent place to go for a well priced superior meal
Was Mother's Day so we expected for it to be busy and longer than usual but it was over 50 minutes for breakfast to arrive and service was not what we are used to at the restaurant. Was there the day before and service was flawless and food requests met. We will be back because we love the restaurant and service but it was, unfortunately, a disappointing visit overall.
Mother’s Day Brunch. Absolutely delicious food. We were seated in a corner with absolutely no view although there were other tables that offered a great view. Our server was attentive without being smothering. They also have excellent coffee.
Disappointing after seeing all the great reviews. The pasta amatriciana was so bland and not worth $20 (I can make it better at home). The main course (Manzo) was quite good, but small at $34 (couldn’t you include a few pieces of asparagus?). I get that you can order vegetables on the side, but at that price? The salad was lacking any kind of acid in the dressing. My husband said the pizza sauce was plain and unappealing (we’ve eaten pizza all over Italy). The bread- $4 for bread and olives and then another $3 for oil and vinegar!! Umm. I’m happy to go to a number of other Italian restaurants for free bread and tastier food. We spent $175 and walked away very disappointed.
Great server. Very friendly and efficient. Perfect food.
I thoroughly enjoy going to Zambri’s but my only request would be more vegan options on the menu. The meal I had was delicious but it’s always nice to have choices. Great service and ambiance as always!
Unfortunately, Zambri's can be a bit hit and miss. We have been more than a dozen times, and mostly we have had great meals. This last time was a disappointment. The crispy pork shoulder was dry and overcooked, and the panacotta was an unforgiving lump of gelatine. So as much as we have enjoyed our previous experiences, we think we will look elsewhere next time.
I would recommend Zambri's. I went with a young friend at the last minute for lunch. it's one of my favourite places.
Absolutely authentic Italian food! Great service.
Had a reservation for 6 to celebrate my mother's birthday. Food was fabulous, as was the service.
The food was outstanding and I suggest for red wines the Montepulciano which is deep but not heavy, a little spicy so great with Italian meals ;-)
Amazing food, staff and ambiance. Well worth the visit to this truly outstanding culinary experience.
Martine our server was amazing ...& the food. Number 1🤗
I am never dissapointed
Prior to going to this restaurant, a reservation had been made, specifying the desire for a "quiet table", if possible. We were seated in between two large, very vocal parties making conversation very difficult. Apart from this, the service was plentiful (I think we had a total of 4 servers bringing food/drinks), the cocktails decent and as usual, the food was worthy of a repeat visit, hopefully without the very loud chatter to distract.
The best Italian restaurant outside of Italy we have ever had the pleasure of dining at. We have been eating at Zambri’s for years and I always think “Wow I hope it’s still as good” and it always is!
Amazing food, great staff. Certainly the best Italian in Victoria if not the best restaurant overall. Thanks Zambris!
The food was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately our server was a little inexperienced and kept getting things mixed up . Fortunately I have been to Zambri’s before so I know this is not the norm.
Our dinner at Zambri's was, as always, exceptional. Our server was attentive and helpful, especially with wine suggestions for our meal. Everything we ordered was delicious - both food and drinks - and that paired one of the best tables in the house we all left gloriously happy. Thank you for such a nice evening!
I booked Zambri's for a birthday dinner for my aunt, based on the reviews about their food.
Overall it was a good experience, however, I would like to let other restaurant goers know that the noise level is quite high when it is busy, and it can be difficult to have a conversation with anyone who isn't seated directly next to you.
Also, since it was a busy night our interactions with the waitress were very deliberately staggered. There was a forty-minute wait between sitting down at the table and getting our food, and I'd guess a 15-minute wait from sitting down to ordering food. When it got to our table, the food was pretty good. The price is a bit high for my personal budget, but I understand that that's the kind of establishment it is.
Nothing but praise for the restaurant. Excellent low noise level, great service and a superb meal.
A great place to go for a business lunch or meal with friends!
The view into the Atrium provides a sense of light and space...beautiful building and food to match!
Consistently high quality food, service and healthy menu selections.
I've been to Italy many times and this place reminds of my travels. I love that the chef is the owner.
Excellent all around as always! One of our top favourite restaurants in Victoria.
Doesn’t get any better than this. It was our 45th wedding anniversary and couldn’t have been better
The restaurant was busy and extremely loud. The food was very marginal. Pizza was okay.
Always amazing. Never had a bad meal or a bad experience here. The staff are incredible. Very friendly, efficient, and helpful. Have had almost everything on the menu at one time or another. Wonderful atmosphere, excellent food, fantastic people. What more could you ask for 👍
I eat lunch or dinner at Zambri's several times a year -- I like it a lot, and do recommend it to friends. This particular day I thought the service was just a little bit slow. Very pleasant, but several steps (getting water, getting to place our orders) seemed to me to take longer than usual. It also seemed just a bit louder than usual. Maybe just my mood. The food was extremely tasty and I thought the value was excellent.
Excellent food, fairly pricey, excellent service, but not delivered quite as ordered at first, busy, loud for seniors.
Zambri's is one of my favourite places to eat in Victoria, and definitely my favourite place to meet girlfriends for lunch!
The food and service were excellent but the noise level made conversation difficult
From the moment we arrived, our total dinner experience was fabulous! We were greeted so warmly & seated in such a lovely window table area. Our server, Naomi was delightful & very knowledgeable in answering any questions about the menu or wine list. The female bartender (sorry, I didn't know her name) was also so lovely in popping over to ask if I had any questions. Our meals, with the pasta special & a vegey special were absolutely delicious as was the prosciutto pizza. Your recommended wine for the evening - Haywire Sauvignon Blanc was yummy! Many thanks!
We had a wonderful time at Zambri's. The service was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. My husband had ordered a pepperoni pizza, which I was surprised that he did that, because, of all the wonderful things that he could have ordered - a pepperoni pizza!? Well, I had some of it and it
was out of this world! The best pizza!! I had ordered the tagliatelle with meat sauce and it was delicious except that I felt the pasta was too al dente. I mentioned it to the waiter and she brought another one. Unfortunately, it didn't seem like it was any softer. In the meantime, while I was waiting, I was gobbling up my husband's pizza. In the end, we weren't charged for the tagliatelle, which wasn't the intention, but very kind of them as I still enjoyed the meat sauce and because they were so gracious, it wasn't necessary, but I did wish that the pasta had been cooked more. I like pasta al dente but not that hard.
We left them a big tip and will definitely will be back. We will recommend Zambri's without a doubt. Thank you to all the waiters for your kind and friendly attitude.
Excellent place to eat, have extraordinary service, congratulations ready to return
Great service and good food! We especially love their spaghetti and pizza. Will definitely come back again when we are in town.
Server was lovely and attentive enough—-meaning not bothersome. Food was underwhelming—-reminded me of Sidekicks pasta package.
Nice decor —casual and busy.
