One of Victoria's best restaurants. I have never been disappointed.

We were there to celebrate Father’s Day! However the service was much to be desired. We ordered drinks and they didn’t come so we had to ask again, when they drinks arrived it wasn’t what my husband ordered! I have been to Zambris several times as it one of my favorite places to eat, but this time the service was disappointing! The food was delicious as well as the setting!
Maybe the server and bus boy were new therefore a little slow. I still love this place but it disappointed us on Fathers Day :(

The fish tacos were great the coconut rice bland!
Jon had steak and the fries were not good, sat in the pan way to long.
Then our waitress only checked back with us once and we had to wait a long time to get our bill.

Fabulous Rock fish especially since I traded potToes for polenta. Good white wine too. The inexpensive one. Always enjoy the incomparable Sumera as a server but I am embarrassed not to hzve her name accurate. Help me! She is studying psychology at UVic.

Love Sunday breakfasts too!

The food was DELICIOUS! The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the sauces of the two dishes we got were outstanding! Would definitely recommend!

Good food. They were out of a couple main courses. Order for salad not submitted. Server recognized and waived wine charge to offset mistake. All good.

I have been quite disappointed with my last couple of visits to Zambri's. It was not that busy but the service/food were very slow. The pastas were mediocre at best and very bland. The homemade sausage was tasteless and full of grissol. I won't be back.

We celebrated Mother's Day. My Mum had never been before and she is a fussy eater. She had the special and thought it was very tasty. We had our usual smoked tuna; perfection. The whole day was brilliant due to the excellent service of all staff. Definitely coming back again and again.

We went here for mother’s day brunch, the restraunt wasn’t very full but the food still took quite awhile to get to the table (45 min). I have always driven by and thought it was a classy place until I got there, maybe it’s better for dinner, the inside looked dusty in the day light and the chairs a little worn-it was also quite warm by the window where we sat- not the best if it’s already warm in there. I had the fish cakes with eggs and Benny sauce, eggs were okay but the cakes weren’t that crispy, my dad had the omelette and he enjoyed it-the rest of the table ordered French toast and it was bread sitting in a bowl of syrup-too sweet if you ask me, everybody was a bit disappointed, everybody was still hungry after. We also ordered cappuccinos and lattes and they have no milk alternatives... it’s 2018, get with the program guys! If you aren’t that hungry and want okay food, with a dusty restraunt this place will do fine. A little disappointed, I felt bad for taking my mom here for Mother’s Day-go to a hotel or a fancier restraunt for mother’s day if you have the option.

We really liked the tables in the atrium; outside but not. Nice, airy and pleasant atmosphere. Would certainly request that area again.
Great catch-of-the day as well!

We are a group of people who like to go to Zambri’s for Italien on a regular basis. The food does not disappointe, the service is always classy and informative. We stayed and enjoyed coffee after our meal was over with, no one rushed us out. All in all an enjoyable evening out with friends.

Great table for 5 ... it was round and fortunately in the corner so slightly easier to hear conversation. Server was good but food service was very slow and at the time we ordered the restaurant was not fully booked.

I am a return customer to Zambri's, and once again have not been disappointed.
The food choices are varied, the food is delicious and the servings are generous.
I was with an Italian friend this time, as she had not been to Zambri's before and she will be back also, so from the delicious food, to the wonderful servers, who are very helpful to the comfortable , inviting atmosphere, and comfortable chairs, Zambris is a 10+

We reserved for a birthday dinner The one pasta meal had either been sitting under hot lamp or sitting as it was dry and crusty on top when served. Although reserved as a birthday there was no recognition or atmosphere that would draw us back there.

I'm always ambivalent re Zambri's--nice building, reasonable service, good reputation.
My companions had the Lamb--the waiter's description was more interesting than the food--the lamb not tender, the accompanying potatoes & onions lacking flavour. I has good dumplings in a fresh tomato sauce, & roasted carrots & rutabag--again lacking flavour.
I do love the pannacotta w strawberry coulis.
The tiramisu was enjoyed by my companions.

Overall ok, but not special.

I love Zambri's for all kinds of food: antipasti, primi and secondi. Wish the menu was a little more exciting in terms of desserts but I greatly appreciate the menu overall. We had amazing salads for antipasti and followed that with world-class authentic Italian pizzas. Good wine list. I would definitely recommend this restaurant highly.

Very disappointing. My dinner was best of 4 dinners, prosciutto pizza. Tasty especially if you are in the mood for something salty, but the prosciutto was laid across the top of the crust in long strips and therefor impossible to cut or eat bitesize.

The food was definitely below the usual medium plus level I have come to expect from Zambris. They clearly are in a downhill slide, the staff is unenthusiastic, the food is terrible, and the restaurant is half empty while every other restaurant in Victoria is booked weeks in advance. The management and ownership are clearly out to lunch, and need a serious wake up call.

To many items to complain about but here's a few:
The bread crust is extremely thick, hard, and sharp, biting it will likely cut your gums, not a joke...

The salad dressing is dull, and the salad pieces need to be cut with a fork, makes for a potentially messy situation, highly irritating.

The pasta noodles taste like they come out of a regular $3 a pack at the grocery store pasta, and the sauce is uninspired. Has anyone heard of high quality pasta noodles??? Makes a world of difference.

The wine list would be more befitting a dive bar, as it contains perhaps at most one bottle of some quality. Not what you would expect from looking at its decor, location, and clientele. This really shows the level of care and commitment to quality from ownership.

The only good thing in all honesty is their espresso, well done on this front.

Absolutely terrible...

We decided to use our OpenTable voucher here and so ordered the most expensive item on the menu. It was very disappointing. My med. rare tenderloin was almost well done and didn't really seem to have the texture of a tenderloin. The presentation on the plate was very unappetising as it was covered with a slice of ham and white cheese and placed on a white sauce that covered half the plate. The other half was filled with a low mound of yellow polenta. I was quite taken aback when it was placed in front of me. While the meat and sauce were very tasty, the dish would have have been vastly improved by some colourful vegetables, like roasted asparagus and baby carrots perhaps. At $34.00 I expected something like that. Perhaps if our server, who was otherwise excellent, had told us the dish didn't come with veg....... We enjoyed the bread and olives which are complementary but had to pay $2.00 for olive oil/balsamic dip for bread - not a big deal. The coffee was excellent as was the sorbet, which the server comped me when she noticed my well-done steak. Since we weren't that impressed with our meal there the last time, I'm not sure we'd return. We very much enjoyed eating here in the past, so it's too bad.
